Nothing but pure brainworms and speculation regarding the potential roadmap for 7.x

Hoyo has remained consistent for the past two years about releasing 17 characters in total per region. The number of four-stars vary but it has consistently been 11 five-stars as far back as Fontaine.

Fontaine
Total Characters: 17
Five-Stars: 11
Four-Stars: 6

Natlan
Total Characters: 17
Five-Stars: 11
Four-Stars: 6

Nod-Krai
Total Characters: 15
Five-Stars: 11
Four-Stars: 4

Obviously this is completely subject to change but this has given them a very comfortable release schedule so I don’t see a reason to deviate from it. There has also been a pretty consistent pattern regarding the number of characters released per patch, and based on general leaks everything seems to follow that pattern regarding five-stars:

7.0

  • Odette
  • Alyosha

7.1

  • Vesna
  • Vodyanitsa

7.2

  • Mitya
  • Valerie

7.3

  • Tsaritsa
  • Danica
  • Potential Four-Star

As usual, leaks regarding anything post-Lantern Rite/Archon release patch are shaky at best and incredibly unreliable. I don’t believe the Dainslief leak. I see him as the perfect anniversary unit and I can’t imagine Hoyo wasting him on the last patch of the cycle.

I know the primary concern from a lot of people waiting on the Harbingers has been that Genshin won’t release that many male five-stars, however the early line-up being pretty much all the female characters is a pretty good sign for us. Noy is the only remaining non-Harbinger unaccounted for in the leaks which makes sense since its pretty clear Hyporborea is being saved for later and he has some kind of connection to it. But because Valerie has taken the fall to be a four-star, this actually makes the best-case scenario more likely.

The largest number of male five-stars released in a single patch cycle is five. Sumeru had Tighnari, Cyno, Alhaithan, Scaramouche and Baizhu. Not to mention Lyney, Neuvilette and Wrio all came after in Fontaine since 3.7 and 3.8 were all rerun banners.

Operating on the assumption Hoyo intends to release 11 five-stars in 7.x, with 6 of them already accounted for, that leaves five slots.

7.4

  • Pulcinella

7.5

  • Noy
  • Potential Four-star

7.6

  • Dottore

7.7

  • Pantalone

7.8

  • Capitano (Potentially)

This would leave the overall gender ratio F:M for five-stars 5:6. (Which is about what it would have been for Sumeru). There could easily be more than one four-star, but Genshin has only ever done two double five-star patches every year; the anniversary and the archon release patch with the sole exception of the Nicole-Lohen patch because there was one less patch than usual.

I’m going to be honest, even in the best-case scenario I don’t see Pierro playable in Snezhnaya. They have been setting up his beef with Hroptatyr and I fully expect that to carry over into next year when we will most likely be getting more confrontations with the two Sinners we have intersected the least with. Capitano is also the easiest to move to next year if Genshin wants to do more with him.

Also, I had a dream where Pulcinella turned into Noy so that might also be a possibility?

Either way, I will be handing out copium in the comments.

Genuinely what was the use of all of this?

First of all to the minority that SOMEHOW thinks this is Dottore and not Capitano

The Pokémon says " Black FUR" Dottore is famously known for his crow references the biggest one being his black FEATHERS not FUR!

Anyways now that we are all on the same page with Capitano in his eggman era

what was the use of that last bit? " Hot, very hot" is this discount Pokémon talking about the lava? Because yeah that would make sense but the wording of the sentence is so weird this HAD to be some meta joke from the Devs right? I mean what do I look like asking an animal to articulate proper sentences?

I tell ya what - NOT STUPID because we see others of this totally not Pokémon species SPEAK NORMALLY TOGETHER

Either Cap's men were collecting all the stupid of the species or they are just tired as hell which is probably the right answer

That brings me to my last question. Why?

Cap why did you approve of animal cruelty? 🧍🏻 Like genuinely why? What could he gain from this? You were planning to boom yourself in the coming weeks why did you do this? What research could you have done? I get it if he was looking after the source mechanism key but how could you have gotten that info from animals?

It genuinely feels like before he arrived to natlan hoyo told him he had to do SOMETHING evil but that was all the instructions they gave him and he had to come up with something on the fly and went by " well hurting actual people is a bit too much so uhh I guess animals? "

I don't get why they gave the "honourable" harbinger this crime bro I can't find a single good reason to do this I don't mind him doing evil shi okay? He's not a full hero he'll do what NEEDS to be done no matter the cost for the greater good but maybe I'm stupid cuz I genuinely don't get what greater good he was working towards by doing this?

I feel hoyo themselves forgot about that too because it's never addressed after and on his monument he's surrounded by those same Pokémon 🧍🏻 imagine being one of them seeing the guy who stole your uncle weeks ago celebrated with an artwork of him AND YOUR UNCLE beside him and the president openly thanking him I would be so sick 💔

It's obvious hoyo didn't want him committing much crime that wasn't needed but then why do this? Couldn't they have just given him a cooler crime or something? Does Muavika even have any knowledge that this happened at all? Hoyo wtf were you cooking? This is some RANCID cooking I'm so sorry but genuinely this shit is ass and please don't come and say " he was studying plothegstn or whatever the heck it was called" because then I will just ask again WHY? He literally lived here years ago he knows what that stuff is it's not new to him he doesn't need to study shit

I am 100% sure this is just another thing hoyo will conveniently never bring up again and only made it cuz they just wanted to add that line with the yumkasaur for fan service or to subvert expectations

We've actually got a lot of slots to realise in Snezhnaya

Alyosha, Noy, Danica, Tsaritsa, Odette, Vesna, Vodyanitsa, Mitya, Valeriy.

+6 maximum characters silhouettes reveal 7.3 live stream program(Capitano might be one of them). That might be the characters we already know but usually there are 2-3 new ones.

It's 14 characters in total. Knowing HoYo, they will realise another 3 cuz it's 17 characters per region.

So, we've got: 4 slots if Capitano is among silhouettes.

3 slots if not in silhouettes reveal (reserved for a Khaenri'ahn mechanic)

Even if Dain is gonna be playable during Snezhnaya, it's not the problem for us.

How many ACTUAL hints of his playability exist?

Like no offense but a lot of people find "hints" even on a rock because in capitanos throne there are rocks, I mean actual hints thay he could be playable

The ones I think are actual hints are:

His face picture is 2d in that book

Every mention of him outside of archon quest is in present sentence

Are there any more hints?

How many absolutely guaranteed playable characters that will release in snezhnaya are there now

Cause all I can think of are

Alyosha

Mitya

Vodyanista

Valyeri

Vesna

Odette

Tsarista

Cryo traveler

I'm trying to count them to see how many spaces are still open for other characters to release. Also does the cryo traveler count as 1 or 2 because there are 2 models?

How a "We Will Be Reunited" teaser translation fail links to the Ignition Teaser, future thoughts and copium

In Story Teaser: We Will Be Reunited (the one where the Abyss twin is standing on top of a Ruin Guard), the Abyss twin says this line:

"We will meet at this journey's end... Once the dust has settled."

However, in Chinese, the Abyss twin actually says:

「在旅途的終點再見吧,哥哥...去見證一切事物的沉澱。」

Which literally translates to:

"See you at the end of the journey, brother …to witness the sedimentation of all things"

What actually caught my attention is that the Chinese text uses the exact same concept Mavuika references in the Ignition Teaser — not just in the sense of a regular "all", but specifically "all existence" or "all things" (切) (from my old breakdown). In English, this part of the sentence was translated as "Once the dust has settled". However, in Chinese, (切事物的沉澱) refers to a specific physical process: sedimentation — settling (as a physical process), or the sediment/residue itself (in a metaphorical sense).

In my past breakdown of the Agnidus Agate Gemstone, I already mentioned the term 灰燼 (Huījìn), which means the ash left after a ritual. Ancient Chinese treatises (such as the "Zhou Li" — Rituals of Zhou) describe in detail the highest type of state sacrifice to heaven: "Liao ji" (燎祭) (literally: burning sacrifice).

The actual process of ritualistically burning sacrificial meat, jade, and silk was called 焚燔 (Fénfán) — the concept I previously explained as a "burnt offering". In the game, this exact Chinese term is used for the talent level-up material series, which was translated into English as "Kindling" (something I’ve also touched upon before).

It was believed that the gods accepted the sacrifice through the smoke and aroma rising to the heavens. But once the fire died down, the priests would collect what remained on the altar: 灰燼 (Huījìn), the ritual ash. Depending on the type of ritual, it was either carefully buried in the ground or scattered over water.

What I'm getting at is that the Abyss twin isn't just using a common figure of speech like the English "Once the dust has settled". Instead, they are pointing to a specific moment when the twins will most likely meet: "See you at the end of the journey, brother …to witness the sedimentation of all things".

Now, let's put two and two together. The journey to Snezhnaya is officially the "end of the journey". This means that by the end of the 7.X version cycle (assuming the Snezhnaya storyline isn't stretched out for an unusual amount of time), we are bound to witness exactly what the Abyss twin is talking about.

The Teyvat Chapter is set to conclude alongside the end of the 7.X cycle. Interestingly, the Cryo gemstone, unlike the others, doesn't have any censorship in its description, even though we previously had a censored gemstone revealed with every major cycle. As the Teyvat Chapter draws to a close, the only remaining censored gemstone left is the Agnidus Agate Gemstone.

Therefore, the only logical conclusion is that the censorship on the Agnidus Agate Gemstone will finally be lifted during the 7.X version cycle.

The final versions of the cycle will have to be dedicated to the reunion with the Abyss twin and wrapping up the Teyvat Chapter, as the end of the journey is exactly when the Abyss twin promised we would meet.

There is a well-known proverb: "There is no smoke without fire." In our case, instead of smoke, we have the "sedimentation of all things" that the Abyss twin talks about. This sediment cannot just appear out of nowhere. There must be a preceding event that leads to its creation.

Just recently, while looking at the Chinese description of the Ignition Teaser, I discovered that a small part of it is actually a reference to a famous classical Chinese expression:

The Chinese expression is: 星星之火,可以燎原 (A single spark can start a prairie fire).

Meanwhile, the final lines of the Ignition Teaser description in Chinese read: 我們匯集於群星之火,見證這場角逐的勝負。

My literal translation: "We gather at the fire of the stars, to witness the outcome of this tournament".

Essentially, they took the idiom and simply swapped the word 星星 (which means "a spark" in this specific context) with 群星 (qúnxīng - "the stars"):

Before: 星星之火 (Xīngxīng zhī huǒ) — The flame of a spark / A single spark's fire.
After: 群星之火 (Qúnxīng zhī huǒ) — The fire of the constellations / The fire of the stars.

During my research, I also learned that in Chinese, people can be metaphorically called "stars". This applies not only to the entertainment industry, but to other categories as well. For example, it can denote professionalism and exceptional achievements — such as scientists, heroes, etc., regardless of how widely recognized the person is in society. Thus, elderly people celebrating a long life are called 寿星 (shòuxīng) — the "star of longevity". Another example is 克星 (kèxīng) — the "conquering star" (meaning someone's bane or nemesis); a cat, for instance, might be called the kexing of mice. Surprisingly, this concept runs quite deep into history and politics, as Chinese uses "stars" to describe those who lead, inspire, or shine with an inner light. Historically, it was believed in China that great historical figures were earthly incarnations of specific stars that descended to earth to save the people.

Therefore, taking all of the above into account, it is highly likely that the "stars" are a metaphor for the best people of Natlan. And the best people of Natlan are its outstanding warriors — which is literally how Capitano was portrayed the moment he sat on the throne.

It is also worth noting the errors in the English localization.

English translation: “Under the assembled stars' flames we gather, to bear witness to the triumphs and defeats of this tournament”

My translation: “We gather at the fire of the stars, to witness the outcome of this tournament”

First, the English localization translated "flames" in the plural. In Chinese, it is written in black and white that it is the single, unified flame of (all) the stars, not the individual fires of each star, which strongly implies the performance of a specific ritual.

Second, using the preposition "Under" was unnecessary, because that part of the sentence (匯集於) translates to English as "to gather/flock to." This is already included at the end of that line in English. So, in reality, the presence of "Under" distorts the meaning of the sentence — it was likely used just because it sounds poetic.

Third, and this is only halfway an error, 勝負 can be translated as a duel, match, contest, the outcome (of a struggle), or victory/defeat. However, note that the expression "victory or defeat" (which they adapted as "triumphs and defeats") was used in the plural, which is also incorrect. In this context, the expression only has a singular form. Therefore, in my opinion, to avoid struggling with the adaptation, they could have simply translated it as "...the outcome of this tournament".

The crux of the matter is that what the Abyss twin means by "the sedimentation of all things" can only occur after the Tournament in Natlan, where, according to Mavuika, the reward will be this very "all existence" (切) (referring to my old breakdown for a better understanding of the translation context, as I don't want to repeat myself).

If this final tournament in the Ignition Teaser is a sort of grand ritual where "all existence" itself becomes the subject, then it is only logical that the sediment (ash) of "all existence" can only appear after this storyline. Exactly in the same way that in historical chronicles, ritual ash always remained after sacred rites.

And here is the final discovery, which forms a perfect bridge between Snezhnaya and Khaenri'ah. Remember all my theories about how sparks in certain scenes indicate that the scene is from the future? Irminsul has already burned, proving that this theory is practically confirmed, since it was precisely in "A Winter Night's Lazzo" that we saw the sparks foreshadowing that it was a future event. And not a single other scene where they appeared has been disproven yet.

In the Story Teaser: We Will Be Reunited, there are similar sparks. I am not kidding. The scene with the Abyss twin's (Lumine's) memories of the cataclysm of Khaenri'ah uses practically the exact same spark effect as the Ignition Teaser, Mavuika's trailer, Xilonen's teaser, "A Winter Night's Lazzo", and the Sumeru Promotional Video.

Furthermore, it’s no coincidence that the English version includes a disclaimer stating it “contains spoilers" (plural). Similar to the Teyvat Chapter Storyline Preview: Travail, this implies the presence of long-term spoilers, much like the line "Truth Amongst the Pages of Purana". And if those memories are indeed one of those spoilers…

This effectively means they represent our future storyline. Since we are already actively interacting with Ronova, and Rhinedottir/Naberius is highly likely to join us soon, it is only logical to assume that "Time" and "Space" will also step into the plot toward the end of the Teyvat Chapter / the second half of the 7.X cycle. Therefore, exploring the themes of "time travel" or space-time paradoxes — no matter how controversial you might find them — becomes completely unavoidable.

And all of this seemingly aligns with the expectation that the Mare Jivari will be released around versions 7.4 to 7.7 (I wouldn't consider the final version, as it should be dedicated to the reunion of the twins / equivalent to a Dainsleif quest). Accordingly, Capitano damn well needs to get off his throne before the wrap-up of the Teyvat Chapter begins, because his involvement is literally painted right there in the Ignition Teaser. The Ignition Teaser will even turn three years old in 2027.

P.S. I still haven't cleared nearly all the 7.0 content (aside from the Archon Quest), so judge this independently of patch 7.0.
