Train driver Rocco and his Son in law Mario always seem to put their foot in their mouths.

Rocco and his son in law Mario Sebastiani seem to always find themselves on the end of bad news for their commentary. Is it time for the club to cut ties with all these 'men' associated with this podcast?

The hate filled diatribes over the years from both Rocco and Mario have made mainstream news again

Rocco has a unfiltered podcast with Andy from another 'blues' podcast where he openly supported Hamas and Hezbollah, this was just after the Bondi shooting mind you.

Rocco and Mario made jokes about Cory Durdin's little sister mocking the club for putting her on the website to cover for losses. How disgusting to use a young girls disability and take it and turn it into hatred towards the club bc we werent winning.

Mario the son in law consistently gets kicked out of the ground for anti social behaviour. They are known for bad behaviour at the games, they have been escorted out of the ground more time than you would believe.

Rocco Stagnitti said he would punch the f*** out of female Carlton supporter group “The Besties” if they were to be involved in a fight. This is a 65+ year old male saying this about girls his daughter's age.

The list goes on and on.

Random Stat for Harry McKay’s 150th

Harry McKay has a career goals per game of 1.92, but against the Lions this decade he’s kicked 2.75 goals per game, so he’s one of the rare players who plays better against Harris Andrews than other defenders. He’s kicked 3, 3, 3, 2, 1, 1, 6 and 3 in his last 8 matchups against Brissie going back to 2020.

Anyone keeping up with the current drama with The Jumper Punch blokey blokes? Got Respect round just around the corner and we see stuff like this. They're like the 'Bounce' equivalent of fan channels.

Ollie

Time for some rare but deserved Ollie Hollands love.

He's just put together his best fortnight for the club.

He's getting to more contests, driving with his legs through contact, and is using the ball extremely well.

Maybe Billy coming in has allowed him to push higher and play his natural wing role?

I don't know, but I'm starting to see some really positive growth from him, which was a non-negotiable for him with this being a contract year.

I've been as much of an Ollie critic has anyone, and have always been hanging for the day that his tireless effort translates to actual impact on a game. He's shown that to me the last 2 weeks, and I really hope he continues on this trajectory.

Make me believe, Ollie 🙏

What do you think our chances are against Port this weekend?

I feel that it is a winnable game, especially with the boys up and about after Saturday's performance. Feels like this is a really defining game for the rest of the season. We either win this and keep the feel-good factor going or we're back to square one. Within the 5 games after that we play Richmond, Esendon and West Coast so we could really start to get some momentum going. Of course, I don't think we will play finals, but it would be great to get a winning mentality going within the youngsters

Jack Ison?

Dear Blues fans,

I come in peace.

I just was curious whether you guys were impressed with Jack Ison ’s debut on the weekend and think he’ll keep his place in the team over the next few weeks

My SuperCoach team depends on it…🤣

Cheers!

I hope the club isn’t footing the bill on this

From The Age “In his defence, Luke Sayers admits to sending the document to the AFL’s general counsel, Stephen Meade, and barrister Christopher Townshend, KC, who was assisting the Carlton Football Club.”

I would hope the club isn’t footing the bill for what is surely a personal matter ?

Bulldogs assessment

Given there’s no assessment of the game as a whole here it goes.

  1. Voss was a part of the problem. Not the whole problem, but a part of it. He doesn’t deserve to be dragged but he also wasn’t the right coach for the club.
  2. Wilson and Ison are afl ready. Ison looked composed in a way we haven’t seen in a while (low bar) and Wilson was impactful.
  3. We’re in desperate need of a ruckman. This isn’t suggesting Pitto doesn’t suffice but he is older, not elite but rather serviceable, and we have no one coming through.
  4. Carroll looks like a star in the making. Enough said.
  5. Given the season is over for us, is there any harm in starting to blood some kids, if ready, rather than playing older blokes who aren’t in our window. Young, Camporeale, etc.?

The Next Captain

There's been a lot of chatter on the next captain, but a somewhat general consensus is that Walsh should be next (surpassing Weitering in the pecking order so to speak). I for one see the energy and determination in his eyes to win, beyond just the insane work ethic we hear about. The time for change is for 2027 (new coach, new captain) - I would even go as far to say put a younger person in the leadership group if it is 2-3 beyond the vice captain (Weiters could remain as vice captain). I do not want to see CO-captains (it doesn't work).

Only thing, I have the feeling they might put Weiters as captain. Is there any reason why Weiters is the better choice than Walsh?
