Completely unrelated to Carlton, but does anyone else find the AFL subreddit insufferable?

The mods have their clear biases for certain teams, nuffies claiming vic or umpire bias for everything, the commenters jsut brown nosing each other to farm karma. Makes me sick.

Is this years draft deep?

I was looking at our out of contract players. i swear saad was 2026 but zero hanger now has it 2027. Given we will give up all our draft capital, I was wondering if this draft is actually deep and if there’s any good players you like.

My ins and outs:

Out:
Fogarty
Chesser (won’t happen)
E.Hollands
Duffy
Monahan (idrk anything bout him)
O.Hollands (happy either way just don’t want to get shafted in a trade)
Boyd

In:
Walker
Greene (i’m sure heaps will hate this but i reckon it’d be good for the team competitiveness)
Herbert
Dear/Morris (as long as we don’t overspend)
Buku (i don’t want him bc i don’t reckon we need him)

thoughts?

Would you take Curnow back?

In light of the horrible Sydney news, i can't imagine many players will want to stay at Sydney. We never truly replaced Charlie and I genuinely believed that if we got him back and he stayed fit, we would be a top 4 team. Do you think he's wishing he stayed with us now? I would take him back in a heartbeat. No hard feelings, come home Charlie

How well do you know your players?

I recently created a game to test my mates on players from different eras and their stats. Thought I'd share it and see how well you guys know ball. Hope you enjoy!

Carlton's Wildcard permutations - every scenario, and when we'll actually know

https://preview.redd.it/46cij38oo2kh1.png?width=2072&format=png&auto=webp&s=07c1fe95add6fef050452456e3221e72b49156a8

AI did the heavy lifting but I think this covers every scenario.

While a number of scenarios are highly unlikely there may be some weird results with teams resting players and having little to play for.

Here's what AI thinks:

If Carlton… Outcome Chance
WIN 9th, play Collingwood 74%
10th, play Melbourne 17%
10th, play Adelaide 9%
LOSE 10th, play Adelaide 68%
10th, play Melbourne 17%
10th, play Brisbane 7%
10th, play Hawthorn 5%
10th, play Geelong 3%

UPDATE:

Draws. A drawn Melbourne v Bulldogs game puts Carlton 10th whatever they do; the opponent then follows rows 5–14. Any other draw falls back to the general rule: 7th goes to the lowest of Adelaide, Geelong, Melbourne, Hawthorn and Brisbane on points, ties split on percentage.
