using uno for cartomancy

Hiii im new to cartomancy, Im learning how to use playing cards for cartomancy and Im also using uno cards as well (don’t hate on me, hopefully its not disrespectful to use uno) I have a few questions tho.

  1. When it comes to cards, can you make your own meanings to them? Like if they have numbers on it, for example a “5”, is it ok to make your own meaning instead of using numerology for a meaning
  2. Is it ok if you pulled multiple cards while shuffling? But you thought you were only gonna pull one card? Is this like an indicator that you’re a bad shuffler or something else?

thank youu!

Will my best friend and I stop being friends?

For reference my best friend and I have been friends for almost 10 years and last year we had a huge fight and since then our relationship has been kind of rocky. I feel like we’re growing apart and I don’t know if it’s something I want or not. I still love her dearly and this would probably my greatest heartbreak but maybe it’s time? Any interpretations?

Looking for the origin of a 'dangerous' cartomancy folk practice: something done to a bad card, not just interpreted

Hi everyone. I hope someone can help me with this because i really dont know where else to search.

Im trying to figure about some practice related to classic cartomancy (with playing cards).

There is an older woman i know, and one time she told me - very carefuly, like she didnt want to say too much - that her grandmother teached her a card reading practice that was "dangerous". She meant something more specific - like when a really bad card came up, or a very bad spread, you do something TO the card. Not just read it different way - actually DO something with cards.

She said she only did it one time in her life and she was scared when she did it. She didnt want to explain more, just that it wasnt normal interpretation, it was an action, for changing the one's fate.

I dont know what the action was. My guesses (but really just guesses, dont trust this):

  • turning the card around during the reading, like reversing it, to change what it means
  • switching the card for a different one
  • putting another card on top of it to cover it

Ive heard about this mysterious practice in Poland, passed from grandmother to granddaughter, only spoken, never written down as far as i know. It sounds older then the normal "cartomancy on instagram" stuff.

Ive havent found anything about it in old books and online archives. The oldest polish cartomancy books were actually translated from french and german books from 17-18th century. So i think this practice could have arrived from those countries along with cartomancy and it could have arrived them from yet other regions.

If anyone knows something like this - from family stories, old ethnography books (english, polish, german, french, whatever), old grimoires, or just "my grandma did something like this too" - please tell me. Even just a NAME for this practice would help me alot, so i can search more..

help with interpretation

This guy asked me out two or three times, and every single time he had some kind of problem and disappeared right when we were supposed to meet. Now, after more than a year, he reached out to me again.
I decided to ask the cards about it. My first question was whether I should go out with him again and give him another chance? My second question was why he always disappeared whenever we made plans to go out?

So, my toughts:
1. Should I go out with him again?
I understood the cards as showing a new opportunity, but with caution. Presente + Bambino suggest a fresh start, while Donna Maritata could represent the relationship situation he had at the time. Ladro makes me wary of the pattern of him offering something and then taking it away. So I’d say: you can give him an opening, but pay attention to his actions before trusting him again.

2. Why did he disappear?
I understood that there was a real obstacle in his life (La Nemica), and that he enjoyed the conversations and the connection (Gran Consolazione + Conversazione), but this ended up creating frustration and unfulfilled expectations (Dispiacere + Sospiri). Falsità feels more like an inconsistency between what he said and what he did, rather than necessarily meaning that he lied about everything.

Could you guys help me interpret the readings? What do u guys think?

asked if my dog liked the new house

im a beginner and i like to ask some questions to practice. today i asked if my dog likes the new house because he crys a lot, but he is a really anxious dog and cry even with the long daily walks, but in this new house is more often. so i understood that he loved the house but he keeps anxious because is how he is? or it is like he missing the old house? like he is sad because he loved the old house or is the first thing? what do u think?

(p.s. i’m impressed how literal sibilla is!! how it gave me exactly the Casa card when im asking about the house hahah)

edit 1: now im thinking that he really misses the old house… it was like a farm and now we’re in the city.
i didn’t knew that the spread had like “past present and future”, that helps me a lot!

I asked my cards to give me a surprise answer if someone that used to be in my life, who did me wrong would apologize

Here’s my interpretation: They probably see that back then there was a lack of communication within the situation (6 of diamonds) but they may be entering a new mindset or analyzed it and would want to reach out to speak about the situation (ace of diamonds) leading to mutual understanding in a good outlook for it overall (2 of hearts)

What’s your interpretation? Comment below.

this is so weird what are my cards saying

i like to use my cards to manifest sometimes, so for example, if i’m studying i put cards in my notes.

anyways i didn’t know what cards to use so i asked my deck to give me some cards to put in my notebook

i got 4 different heart cards ?? i was expecting clubs or diamonds but its so weird how hearts keep coming out and this has been recurring for the past few days

here’s an example
also before i got these cards i got the king of clubs but i put it back because i wanted cards to help me manifest success then with these heart cards i got the 9 of spades

anyone help please!!!

I came across this and now I’d like to figure out what it implies.

I was walkin' with a friend and we saw this card on the street. He told me to pick it up, as you sometimes use poker cards to read the ‘tarot’ or that sort of thing – at least up here in Chile. I didn’t quite know how to interpret what it might mean (I’m pretty new to this) so I thought I’d ask on this subreddit for a close answer. Any thoughts?

I asked my cards who’s thinking about me

This is what I got. Aof d, 3sp, qc I wanna see what yall think but here’s my interpretation: The person is probably a woman and they’re probably conflicted about starting something with me again I have no idea I’m probably wrong. Who do you think is thinking about me? Put it in the comments

I love how straight forward cartomancy is

When I ask my tarot deck questions, sometimes it feels wishy washy, like it knows my own insecurities and tries to incorporate them. So my question about what this new guy thinks of me always feels "tinged". Not with cartomancy. The cards are just like "Here it is. NEXT!" without any bs and I love that
