What's the funniest thing your cat has ever stolen?

My cat ignores every toy I buy but somehow always finds the weirdest things to steal—hair ties, socks, even a potato once. 😂

What's the strangest thing your cat has ever taken?

This is Nico, the most unique looking cat I've ever seen in person and I get the privilege of having her!

When I got her about six months ago I knew there was something different about her coat colors/pattern but, only today did I finally figure out she might be a torbie. Someone came to my door recently and upon seeing her said he had never seen a cat like her, I should have known!

Lino

His name is Lino, he's 5 years old, and he loves to act like a statue while I sleep. Do your cats do the same?

My neighbour stole my cat. Her AirTag shows location. What should I do?

This is distressing and if you’re a cat or dog owner you’ll understand. Two months ago my cat disappeared without an AirTag for 8days until she came home with an injured back. She looked well fed. Vet bills £500. Vet suggested a pulled tail or fall.

She’s recovered but now is spending most of days and nights at a house 3 streets away. I can see her location because now she wears an AirTag.

I know cats a fickle and love anyone who feeds them - I could do the same with my neighbours’ cats but I don’t.

Last weekend I went to this house, called her name and she came running out their side gate. There was no answer at the door.

What do I do? It’s not theft. I know my title says stole but I’m keeping it simple😍. I don’t know for sure these people are responsible for her disappearance and injuries but I believe it’s likely.

I should confront them. Should I warn others on social media? Or is this like doxing and too much?

Happy first birthday to Pepper (left) and her brother Riley (right)!

They are the survivors of a litter of five born to Holly, who was abandoned and showed up in a tree in our backyard. A month later, she gave birth to kittens. We weren't sure if Pepper and Riley were going to survive. Holly actually rejected them at one point and we had to hand feed them. Eventually, she took them back, but she's never been a doting mother. Pepper and Riley have a very tight, close bond and are usually sleeping together. They turned one year old on July 1. Hard to believe it's been that long. We can't imagine life without them. You never know what they're going to do, especially Riley.

New hiding spot

Coltrane, blocking the entrance to the fire escape. That corner gets cozy and quiet when I leave the closet door open.

Right place, right time, right mood.

The combination of the morning sun shining through, and simba embracing it was the perfect combo for a mini Photoshoot.

Swimmer syndrome doesn’t stop Joey from being the sweetest cat

I met Joey today and i haven’t stopped thinking about him. He has swimmer syndrome but he’s the sweetest boy. After a little petting, he rolled over and showed me his belly. I really hope someone gives him the loving home he deserves.

He’s at The Charming Cat Corner in Lewisville, TX 75067 🇺🇸 (please come visit him and his friends)
More meowdel content below..

Also, sorry for all the reposts across different subreddits! i realized i might’ve overdone it a bit. Wanted to help him get seen and didn’t mean to come across as spammy!

Earl Grey greets me outside everyday. He has a home with us but he absolutely refuses to come inside it. He was born on the streets and I can’t get that out of him.

Earl Grey has been in the neighborhood community cat group for a few years now. He is very friendly. He will not come inside.

Cat distribution system helped me process feelings and grow a heart

The first cat’s name was Oreo. He originally belonged to my ex-girlfriend, who got him as a kitten while we were living together. After we broke up, she asked me to keep him for a couple of weeks—maybe a month at most—and said she would pay for everything.
At the time, I didn’t really care for cats. But nine months passed before she tried to get him back. By then, she hadn’t paid me a dime, and I had already spent around $2,000 on vet bills and other expenses.
Somehow, though, Oreo had become my best friend. It was everything from his little mannerisms to the way he would jump on my chest and fall asleep. If I said his name, he would come running. I had actually made a friend, and that surprised me more than anything. I never thought I could care so much about one of these little creatures.
I was in Georgia getting ready to leave the Army, and I was also trying to get my house ready to rent. I sent Oreo to stay with my brother for a little while. Then I got a call that broke my heart: my brother’s roommate had accidentally let him out, and they couldn’t find him.
I told myself I would never have another cat. Oreo was the only cat I had ever liked.
What felt strange was that two weeks passed, and I still hadn’t cried. I didn’t feel the sadness I thought I should feel, even though I knew how much I loved that cat. I kept wondering why losing him hadn’t torn me apart yet.
Then, about two weeks later, I was on my way to Lowe’s to buy new doorknobs for the house when I noticed a group of people gathered around, trying to catch something. Being who I am, I stopped and offered to help. It turned out to be a cat.
After about 15 minutes, we finally caught him. Then everyone started coming up with reasons they couldn’t take him. One person already had 12 cats. Another had dogs that might kill him. Someone else said their kids were allergic. Eventually, everyone just looked at me.
I said, “Okay, I’ll give him a home for a couple of days while I find him a permanent one.”
Luckily, I still had plenty of cat supplies at my house, so getting him settled was easy. But as soon as I took that second picture, I burst into tears. In that moment, I finally processed that Oreo was gone.
Life, though, had found a way to give me another best friend.
He has been with me for about a year now. No, he could never fill Oreo’s shoes, but he brought his own pair.
Everyone, meet Presley. My brother told me about this forum, so I thought I’d share our story.
