About my cat -

His full name: Prince Beauregard Makasi Katembo

Beauregard is his full first name, but he goes by Beau for short. I chose this name because my family are African immigrants from the Democratic Republic of Congo. We speak Lingala AND French. Beaureguard means "beautiful view" in French, while his nickname Beau means "Handsome" in French. We call him a Prince because he resembles a small lion. Everyone in my home is royalty.

Makasi is his African middle name to highlight our African roots. It means "strong" in Swahili or "strength" in Lingala.

Katembo is our families last name. Its from the Bantu language and it translate to "journeyer" or "the traveler".

Beau's Breed is a Mainecoon x Tabby x Norwegian Forest cat mix. He is an orange Tuxedo long hair that weighs 13 lbs. He is currently 2 years old and turns 3 on Feb 15th 2027.

Our princess is a rescue cat that has gotten a new home with us🥰 She was really scared in the beginning but now she trusts us completely and can express herself freely❣️ Now she loves humans🥰

We rescued him when he was still very young. He was very weak and had some health issues... Now he weighs a full 6 kilograms and is enjoying life!

Made some orange babies and calicos that I'm eventually going to turn into earrings (or a bracelet) for my shop 😌. Gotta wait for my earring hooks and wire cutters to arrive n.n! Tell me what cats I should make next!

To be clear I also love my other 2 but they aren't nearly as touchy as id prefer but whatever bodily autonomy yk? All three have a specific spot in my heart that will never leave me no matter what.

This kitten however HAS to be touching me at all times or he screams and meows (only time he does i think its a comfort thing I used to softly meow at him when he was scared and calling out for his mom.) When I settle down for the night he marches over and headbutts me to get comfy before laying down and wrapping his tail around my arm. He'll spend the whole 7 hours im asleep just adjusting as I do rarely will I wake up and hes not still attached to a singular limb 😭😭

The lil tux is the cuddle bug named Bug before I realized he was snuggly. The all black one is Shadow ive had her for 13 years going on 14 she HATES me but we ball 💀. And the fat calico is my lazy princess Beeps (shes on a diet mf just doesnt feel like playing ever and the vet said shes fine aside from also having constipation frequently 🙃 daughter like father i suppose.)

Meet my beautiful Marusya. I love her, and she loves me! She's my sweetest and kindest friend ♥

While on holiday in Greece, we met this beautiful soul. We named her Samantha. I laid in her spot one day for a nap and woke up with her next to me. She stole our hearts and was the highlight of our trip. (See first comment for photo.)

These two are not bio-siblings but they will not sleep without each other nearby.
Ichabod (orange) & Eve (black) were both adopted from a reacue.

We have a stray that we’ve been feeding for the last 5 months. I’m not an animal person but feel so bad for him. When he first showed up his back was shaved down the middle, he has no voice and his eyes always look a little crusty. He started doing this today and is this normal or should I have him checked out? I want to add that once he was done he started to eat.

Say hi to my cute little billi. He is 5 months now. He recently lost all his siblings and his parents. He feels lonely :(

Moving to another country was one of the biggest decisions I’ve ever made, and bringing them with me made it even more meaningful. There were long flights, endless paperwork, stressful moments, and so many doubts… but seeing them happy, safe, and playing together like this reminds me that every single step was worth it. 🤍🐾
