Princess has been blind since kittenhood. Kenshi lost his sight to illness. Their first meeting went better than we dared to hope ❤️

We had our fingers crossed when we introduced these two. The cats themselves? Not a single hiss. Apparently, we were the ones doing all the worrying 🙂

This is Princess and Kenshi, two cats living with us at Khvostyky, our rescue cat café in Vinnytsia, Ukraine.

Princess has been blind since she was little. She knows her surroundings through sounds, smells, and touch. Kenshi used to be able to see, but illness took both of his eyes. Along with everything he went through, he’s had to learn how to navigate a world he can no longer see.

We’re hoping that having Princess around will help him feel more comfortable as he adjusts. Their first meeting was a lovely start. We’re letting them get acquainted at their own pace and quietly hoping a friendship will grow.

Kenshi is also quite the hugger. We’ve shared him wrapping his paws around our barista’s neck, which makes it very difficult to get back to work. ❤️

Both are waiting for families of their own. For now, they’re safe with us, and we wanted to introduce them to a community that understands life with blind cats.

You can get to know them and the rest of our crew through our Instagram and TikTok profiles. 🐾

Over a year after losing her leg in a car accident, Vuhlia looks like the cat goddess she was always meant to be

It’s easy to see a stray cat, think “what a sweet kitty,” leave some food, and carry on with your day. Feeding helps. But when we walk away, that cat is still living around traffic, with the risk of injury and nobody necessarily there to notice when something goes wrong.

Our Vuhlia was hit by a car more than a year ago. One of her legs was so badly crushed that it had to be amputated. Back then, she was a frightened little bundle, desperately hanging on to life and trusting no one.

Now look at her. A magnificent little cat goddess who seems to be deciding whether we’re worthy of her company. ❤️

She lives on three legs, and the accident will always be part of her story. Seeing her comfortable and safe now means so much when we remember those first days.

Vuhlia lives with us at Khvostyky, our rescue cat café in Vinnytsia, Ukraine. We care for 30+ rescued cats and two dogs who are looking for families. We’d love for every one of them to have the safety Vuhlia has now, and a home of their own.

Two of our rescue cats found homes today — and they’re both moving to different cities 🥹

And both cats are moving to different cities in Ukraine.
🦊 Foxy is going to Khmelnytskyi. She’s tiny, clever, ridiculously charming… and was also very committed to stealing everyone else’s wet treats whenever she got the chance.
🧀 Cheddar is heading to Cherkasy. He’s basically a giant orange cloud. The funny part is that he didn’t even make it into our main cat room before someone saw him and decided: yep, that’s my cat.
So today we said goodbye to two of our rescue cats, and honestly, this is the kind of goodbye we never get tired of.
Meanwhile, a few new cats have arrived at our rescue space, so the cycle continues.
We’ll introduce them soon.
And now I’m curious: which one would you have fallen for first — the tiny treat thief or the giant orange cloud?

Their first meeting after everything they’ve been through ❤️‍🩹

You’re watching the very first meeting between two of our special rescue cats ❤️‍🩹
Kenshi is blind after a serious illness, and Vuhlya lost one of her legs after being hit by a car.
They’ve both been through so much, but thankfully, the hardest part is behind them now. Today, they are safe, cared for, and slowly getting used to a peaceful life while waiting for their forever families.
And now they’re finally starting to explore the main cat area and meet the others 🐾
It’s incredibly sweet to watch them discover each other and their new surroundings.
If you’re ever in Vinnytsia, Ukraine, you can come meet Kenshi and Vuhlya at our rescue cat café ❤️

Foxy looked into the camera and we forgot what we were going to say

Seriously, look at those eyes. We had a whole introduction planned, but Foxy seems to have that covered herself

She’s one of the 30+ former street cats living at Khvostyky, our rescue cat café in Vinnytsia, Ukraine. We also care for two dogs, and all of them are looking for families of their own.

If you’d like to get to know Foxy better, you can find her and the rest of our crew on our Instagram and TikTok profiles. 🐾

Koritsya has been judging us for 12 straight seconds

This is Koritsya, which means Cinnamon in Ukrainian. She’s a little spicy, just like the cinnamon in your coffee, and she has perfected the look that says, “I’m listening, but you’d better make this good.” 😅
She’s a former street cat who now lives at Khvostyky, our rescue cat café in Vinnytsia, Ukraine. We care for 30+ rescued cats and two dogs, all waiting for families of their own. Koritsya is safe here while she waits for hers.
Somehow, we still feel like I need to pass an interview before I’m allowed to pet her:)

We currently care for 35 rescued cats in Ukraine. Here’s what just one evening with them looks like.

We run a rescue cat cafe in Vinnytsia, Ukraine, and currently 35 rescued cats live with us while waiting for their families.
We wanted to show what one completely ordinary evening here actually looks like — visitors, purring, rescue updates, a little chaos, our rescued dogs, and one of the best moments possible: Bembi leaving for her forever home. ❤️
You’ll also meet Kenshi, our blind cat, our FIV+ boys Kus and Sazhyk, huge ginger Cheddar, little Pegasus and Myavka, and even one of our former rescues who came back to visit us with his family.
This is our first attempt to share more of everyday life at our rescue space with an international audience. If you watch it, tell us which cat you’d like to see more of next. 🐾

Science confirmed: cats are definitely 99% liquid and 1% fluff

Hey r/CatsAreLiquid!

Greetings from our rescue cat sanctuary Khvostyky in Vinnytsia, Ukraine!

We see this happening every single day with our 35 residents. You buy them structured beds, but they somehow find a way to melt, stretch, and completely overflow out of them like spilled soup.

do your cats also turn into a liquid puddle the second they fall asleep hehe?

Welcome to Khvostyky! How 35 rescued cats found a safe haven in Ukraine 🐾🧡

Hey everyone! Welcome to our official Reddit page.

We are Khvostyky which translates to Little Tails, a unique rescue cat cafe and shelter based in Vinnytsia, Ukraine. Right now we are home to 35 rescued cats and 2 adorable doggos!

We are not just a cozy space for coffee and cat snuggles. First and foremost, we are a true shelter for former street cats. Every single one of our kitties has a story: some were rescued from tough street conditions, some survived severe trauma, and others were just waiting for a second chance at life.

At our cafe, they get proper medical care, vaccinations, endless love, and all the time they need to heal and socialize while we search for their forever homes. Every cat here is up for adoption!

Running a shelter for 35 furry bosses during these times is a huge daily hustle. Feed, vet bills, meds, and facility upkeep add up really fast.

If you would like to support our rescue work or keep our kitties fed, here is our direct PayPal: catcafe.vn@gmail.com. Any small contribution means the absolute world to us and keeps our shelter running safely.

Here is how you can also join our story and support our crew:

  1. Become a Virtual Sponsor: You can pick any cat that steals your heart and sponsor them remotely! Your chosen kitty will send you personal photo and video updates about their daily lives.
  2. Visit us in person: If you are ever in Vinnytsia, Ukraine, drop by Mykoly Ovodova St. 22 for some quality cat therapy!

All links to our social media and cat profiles are pinned in our Reddit bio.

Thank you so much for following along, sharing our work, and being part of our rescue journey! Every single bit of support means the world to our kitties 🐾

Greetings from Ukraine! Just wanted to share our rescued crew living their best lives at our cat cafe

Hey everyone! Just wanted to drop in and share a little bit of joy from Vinnytsia, Ukraine. We run a rescue cat cafe called "Khvostyky" (it means Little Tails), and right now we are home to 36 rescued cats and 2 sweet doggos.

Most of our furry residents came from pretty tough situations, bad streets, abandonment, or tough rescues. But seeing them now, sleeping on soft cushions, stealing pastries with their eyes, and demanding belly rubs from visitors, honestly makes every single hard day worth it.

They are safe, super loved, fully fed, and honestly running the whole place like they own it (which they kind of do).

If you ever want to see more of our daily chaotic family life and follow their stories, we post tons of videos on our Instagram and Threads (links in our profile).
