new baby in the family

this is our goofy, gorgeous, very spicy girl. her name is honey and she’s a year and a half old. she’s not very sweet (only to me and my partner). we are wanting to add a lil kitty to our family and we are terrified. we’re doing it for her tho. everytime we have to leave it breaks my heart seeing her on the cat cam just waiting for us to get home. i think a companion will be good for her eventually. but i am just sooo scared for the transition period. she’s very sensitive. we think she was rejected from her litter. we found her alone on the street. she’s very reactive and bites HARD.

any advice for transitioning a new kitty into the family would be greatly appreciated.

pic is how i imagine her reaction will be when we let a new kitty in the house lol
