Oongka the Grappler

The Orc is so strong he can easily wreck most humannoid bosses just like this!

I've decided to replay Nier Automata after a few years and I've come to appreciate 2B more as a character. Both personality wise and her badass fighting style.

I haven't played Nier Automata in years since I last beat it. Decided to redownload it and see how I felt now that I'm a little older and I still enjoy it just as much as I did before although this time I enjoy it much more. Since I know what happens, a lot of stuff in the beginning sections make sense.

2B has so many layers to her personality. she has a very caring side to her. not that I didn't see it before, but I can see it more clearly. She can be sweet at times.

And Now that I'm looking at 2B's moveset more in depth, I never realized how much of a beast she was in battle.

I mostly always used the regular light Swords and never dabbled much in her other weapons but I never noticed just how damn versatile she is. watching her move and be kind of acrobatic as she fights is satisfying. Her weapon combinations are seriously sick.

Her animations are so stylish but also shows just how much experience she really has. The ways she moves her swords, the flips, the dodges, the result of so many battles you can see in how she fights.

The combat bracer standing animation is my favorite. And seeing her with the heavy sword and hit it like a baseball is hilarious

2B is just always ready for a fight and she does it in a lot of style. I loved her before but I have a new found appreciation for her.

Even unarmed, she's still strong enough to send robots flying.

Im happy that years later my love for her hasn't gone away. It's only increased.

Anyway, that's all I really have to say. Just me praising 2B even more than I used to XD. She's so cool.

What's your dream combat system in a game? ⚔️

I'm gathering ideas for a game and would love to hear your thoughts.

If you could create the perfect combat system, what would it look like? What mechanics make combat feel fun and satisfying? Do you prefer fast, combo-based action, tactical combat, parries, dodges, magic, destructible environments, weapon switching, or something completely unique?

Also, what's one combat feature you wish more games had but rarely do?

  • What mechanics would it have?
  • Fast-paced or slow and tactical?
  • What features do you wish more games included?
  • What makes combat feel satisfying to you?
  • Any unique ideas you've never seen in a game?

Feel free to mention games that inspired your ideas or share something entirely original. Every suggestion is welcome!

Hi, I'm making a game with similar combat to CAGs and wanted to ask what do you consider the absolute best/worst camera in the genre?

i feel like camera is one of those things that can completely break a game, like it was one of the main reasons that ruined GOW 2018 for me, so i want to get it right.

Which is considered more complex between DMC3 and Bayonetta 1? I'm new to CAGs and I was amazed by the complexity of Bayonetta's enemies, But the sheer number of techniques and mechanics is also incredible.

I might be hated for this, but NG4 Ryu is unbelievably fun to play

Also, Jakotsumon is underrated. Sure, it doesn't have the move variety of the Falcon Talons, but it's function is different. It's most useful IMO as a movement and enemy manipulation tool. I tried my best to show off some of what Ryu can do with that and his trusty Dragon Sword. Honestly, playing this game makes me respect Jehuty so much.

NG2 black has so much sauce 🔥

One thing I like most about this game is just how rewarding and satisfying the combat feels. despite being drastically different to dmc which is my top 1 CAG, it still feels so great to pull off sick dismemberment. My only criticism is that it doesn't have on the fly weapon switching
