Set After the pacifist run and before The Player resets for the first time.
If we examine Noelle's character in Weird Route, we see that although Noelle is a good person herself, she starts doing bad things because of the player's coercion, but at the same time, she enjoys it and becomes stronger.
Noelle knew what she was doing was wrong, but the player's actions revealed her hunger for power and easily led to her corruption. So, as we saw in Weird Route, at some point he goes crazy and starts believing he can do things he can't, and we know what happens next. The point I'm trying to make is that although Noelle was a good person, the power she was given over this concept of logic drove her mad.
And the main point I want to address is the change in Chara's plan or whether they actually lied to Asriel. First, according to what Chara told Asriel, they were going to gather the six human souls and free the monsters. That's why Chara is pressuring Asriel to kill them and helping him to do so.The point many people forget here is that Chara didn't know who would be in control after they died. Their mind could completely disappear, and their soul could transform into something useless except a flying heart, which would make Asriel I super-powerful. Chara based their plan on Asriel completely gathering 6 souls and freeing the monsters. However, things changed when Asriel absorbed Chara's soul. Chara realized they was in control. Not Asriel. Chara had to make the plan they this time, and they chose thei own village as th için target, perhaps to justify their own actions. And when they arrived at the village, they deliberately lured them in and attacked them to kill them, which resulted in Asriel resisting and both of them dying in vain. The point I'm trying to make here is that Chara was already a somewhat troubled child and was obsessed with things like becoming stronger. As we saw in the 9th-year letter, Chara's obsession with becoming stronger stemmed from their desire to avoid repeating the bad things they experienced in the past.My theory is that Chara initially wanted to do all of this to free the monsters, but once they realized they was in control, their hunger for power suddenly consumed them .Just like Noelle. Noelle knew her actions were wrong, but she enjoyed being powerful. Of course, he was under pressure, but although SHe initially hesitated, ahe eventually agreed to kill hım (berdly )
In short, Chara most likely originally planned this for the monsters, intending to set them free, but their thirst for power quickly corrupted them within Asriel's body, leading them to seek revenge.
Maybe Chara really is evil lol
