"Trump Accounts"

I've had my schwab account for decades and have really enjoyed the experience. But seeing schwab promote "trump accounts" today in the newsletter (and subject line) makes me question having my portfolio with this company. If you think anything with a multi bankruptcy, con man's name on it is good financial advice, then it's probably time to invest with another organization.

Schwab Checking

I’m not sure if I love Schwab or if I love the idea of Schwab. I have been with them since TD Ameritrade I trade futures so I love the thinkorswim platform and the idea of the ecosystem but over the past year the checking account has left for me somewhat stranded. One time add AutoZone when I desperately needed a battery the card declined because Schwab said that network maintenance happens at random times. (8pm on a Friday night) Another time I was at the barbershop and wanted to transfer funds from my brokerage to the checking and it didn’t transfer until the next business day which was coming up Monday. And then another time I was at the gas station and had to switch pumps. $100 came out of my account, but I never got gas and it wasn’t put back into the account until the next business day (a upcoming Monday) Thinking about Fidelity, E*trade checking, Chase or BoA.

Candidate for Client Support Role

I’m currently applying for an entry-level Client Support position and I’m a little nervous about the background check process.
I’m currently going through Chapter 7 bankruptcy and my meeting of creditors is scheduled for September. I’m young and, unfortunately, made some financial mistakes early on while also dealing with debt, including student loans. I’m trying to take responsibility for everything and get myself into a better financial position moving forward.
The role I’m applying for is an entry-level client support position, not a finance/accounting position or a role where I would be managing company money. I’m really interested in the opportunity and feel like my professional experience otherwise makes me a strong candidate.
Has anyone gone through bankruptcy while applying for a corporate/client support role? Did it come up during the background check, and did it actually affect whether you were hired?
I know every employer is different, but I’d especially appreciate hearing from recruiters, HR professionals, or anyone who has been hired while going through Chapter 7. I’m trying not to count myself out before I even apply.

Schwab is having major issues with cash transfers

I have two checking accounts with Schwab.

A few days ago, I initiated a cash transfer from one Schwab checking account to another Schwab checking account. This always happens instantly or at least by the next business day.

This time, the cash never transferred. Two business days go by, and still nothing. The transfer is still pending. I need this to pay bills.

I asked Schwab about this, and they told me that there was an issue with cash transfers a few days ago. They have no idea when this will be fixed.

So right now, my cash is locked up in the account pending to be transferred.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

Am I overreacting or is this a major issue? A bank is unable to let customers transfer cash, it gets held up and have no idea of when it'll be fixed.

Update: Thank you to the Redditor who suggested I call.

I had originally talked to Schwab via the website chat, and they gave me no way to solve this. The person who I talked to over the phone suggested I cancel the transfer and resubmit it. It worked.

Schwab has always been great and they have been the best bank I have ever used. This was definitely a hiccup on their part. I received no notification. My payments could have all bounced if I had not happened to check and spot this.
