Toyota Aygo vibrating

Is it just my toyota aygo that vibrates / shakes while driving? I feel it mainly in the seat. Its a 2008 Toyota aygo. I feel it the most when driving at like 30-50 km/h. Is the car supposed to be like this because its small or is it something wrong? I just bougth the car

Averaged 3.3L/100km (85 MPG UK or 71 MPG US) over the last 975km (605mi) on a single fill. Fuel reserve is not even on yet.

2010 Peugeot 107 1.4HDi 55PS 965kg.

The result of a small diesel city-car and doing moderate hypermilling. This time I filled with 32.27L after 975.8km which equals to a fuel consumption of 3.3L/100km (85 MPG UK or 71 MPG US) and the fuel reserve wasn't even on. By my calculations there was still 6.5L left in the tank so the fuel reserve would have turned on at 1025km (637mi) and I'd have run out of fuel at 1177km (731mi), that's with a 38.5-39L fuel tank (that's how much I fill by my estimations).

My average over the last 3000km is 3.36L/100km (84 MPG UK or 70 MPG US) so just slightly higher. I do mostly highways at 100km/h (62mi/h) but sometimes I take advantage of trucks and go behind them at 90km/h (56mi/h). I use engine brake as much as possible (not as much if I have drivers behind me, I try not to bother people) and low gears. I also made sure the odometer is accurate comparing distances with Google Maps.

Help me identify this connector

I'm working on adding another window switch on the driver side to control the passenger side window. The plan will be to model and install a custom bracket to replace the current window switch. Two switches from a Mk2 Golf will be used (had those already rip mk2..)

Underneath the window switch is this extra white connector with a purple and pink cable. Any clue what this is? May be possible for me to re-use these cables and avoid the hassle of running new cables to the passenger side. It was already a tight fit for my speaker cables.

This is a 2013 C1.

Gearbox/clutch noise

Hi guys,

Just looking for some opinions because I'm a bit confused about this one.

My Aygo/C1 ended up developing what sounded like rod knock, so I replaced the engine block with another used one. The mechanic swapped all the accessories over from my old engine (tensioner and everything else) and I kept my original gearbox. While everything was apart I also fitted a completely new clutch kit with a new release bearing.

The car itself actually feels good now, clutch is smoother than before and gears go in normally, but I noticed a strange noise that wasn't there before the engine swap.

When the engine is cold I basically don't hear anything, but once the car gets fully warm I get a sort of rotating bearing/dragging noise at idle. If I press the clutch pedal the noise disappears immediately, then comes back as soon as I release it again.

I already checked the gearbox oil level because that was my first thought. Oil level is fine, gearbox oil is new and it's the correct one too.

What confuses me is that before changing the engine I never had this noise at all. I'm trying to understand if maybe something happened during installation, if maybe something wasn't aligned perfectly, if a new part could somehow be faulty, or if removing and reinstalling everything can sometimes just create this kind of issue even if nobody necessarily made a mistake.

I'm also wondering if this is something minor that can be fixed without spending a fortune or if it usually ends up meaning taking everything apart again.

Has anyone had something similar happen after an engine/clutch job?

Gerne auch was anderes.

Mk1 seats change - Aygo X

Hi Guys! Has anyone tried to fit Aygo X seats to Mk1 CityBugs? I am 190 tall and the original seats are a nightmare. I am looking for something with a lower seat and a higher backrest. I don't have a workshop for modifications so it needs to fit as easily as possible. In my region, Mk2 seats are nearly unavailable or in very poor condition.

What coolant to use in 2006 C1?

title, I've read many mixed opinions on G12/G12+/G12++ based coolants for being acidic. Currently I see "pink/red" coolant in reservoir but I can't exactly tell what type it is. I've looked through forums and people say not to mix coolants so I'm not exactly sure if it's safe to add any pink-ish coolant to fill up to top it up.

Advice for new tall driver

Hello All,

Looking for some advice for my nephew. He's recently passed his driving test, and is on the lookout for his first motor.

Ideally it needs to be cheap to insure, rabidly l reasonably reliable, but the kicker is that he is around 6'6", which could rule some cars or if the equation. I was thinking he should get a CityBug (example attached) but can anyone who is around that height confirm my suggestion?

Thanks in advance!

Wheel arch liners missing or not required? 2012 Aygo.

Is my 2012 Aygo missing some rear wheel arch liners, or were they never fitted and not required?

This is a new car to me and I'm not sure after checking the manual/Haynes guide.

Seats

I've got a Citroen c1 for my first car but the seats are so shit in my opinion, what other seats fit that anyone knows of (a mate of mine can weld new rails) looking for comfort not a bucket seat but something that holds you more in bends and is comfy 👍🏼

Did I mess up the tire sizes? (Aygo 2009)

I finally changed the tires myself. It took about 2 hours, not too bad considering it was my first time.

However, my dad noticed later that the new tires have a completely different spec than the old ones.

  • Old tires: 155/65 R14 75T
  • New tires: 195/40 ZR16 80W

From what I’ve gathered, I’d need to head to a testing center (like TÜV) to get an official inspection/approval for these. Is it even worth the effort for a 2009 Aygo, or are there better alternatives?

Its my first car, I got both wheel sets from the previous owner
