Is it a good time to be a new player?

I’ve always been curious about Clash Royale, but I’ve never really invested any time into it.
Is now a good time to start? If so, what would you recommend for progressing as quickly as possible? Which purchases are actually worth it for someone who’s willing to spend a limited amount of money, but wants to do so as efficiently as possible?
Or would you recommend staying away from the game altogether?

I love this sit down and lean back deck

Beatdown is so easy man. I'm having dinner while watching youtube while playing with this deck.

His lightnings were peak midladder tho.

Tell me, please, is it worth using Boss Bandit like this: 1500 damage on Tower and bait on Tombstone for 6 elixir? Is this a good spent elixir - damage on Tower value or not? Please, BB haters get lost and don't bother answering, I use this card, because I love it, I don't care, that you hate it

Stuck at 12700-12800. What should I do?

I’ve always played a very similar deck to this and don’t have enough high level cards to switch everything up. Any recommendations to help me get me to 13000?

Supercell, is this a joke?

Supercell keeps making Clash Royale worse with every update. I've completely lost hope for this game. Even if they don't add another card level, they'll just introduce more ridiculous mechanics like Evolutions or Heroes, and they'll probably be even more frustrating than new card levels ever were. At this point, I genuinely think we should boycott Clash Royale.

What do you do after a long winning streak?

I've noticed that whenever I go on a long winning streak, the game suddenly starts matching me against much stronger opponents, and I end up losing several games in a row. It feels like the matchmaking gets harder as soon as I win too much.

Has anyone else experienced this? If so, what do you usually do? Do you take a break, switch decks, or just keep playing until it gets easier again?

What a joke

What a waste of an event. Not even a reward for the full countdown or for those that don’t get a jackpot just a pot of useless information that supercell are 100% gonna either ignore completely or find a work around to find a way to make more money. LET THE GAME DIE

Is it safe to assume they will backtrack on their word, just like they did the past 10 times?

Watch them add something close to buffies from brawl stars

The Scroll Jackpot Event was one of the most disappointing Clash Royale events I've ever played.

I've been playing Clash Royale for over 10 years, and honestly, this event was the final straw.

I'm a free-to-play player. I don't spend real money on overpriced offers, so progressing already takes forever. If I want to play a different deck, I usually can't because my cards are underleveled, I'm missing the required Hero Card, or I don't have the Evolution. That's already frustrating enough.

Then came the 5-day Scroll Jackpot event.

I didn't hit a single Jackpot. Instead, I got 25, 50, 75 and 100 Gems. Seriously... what am I supposed to do with that?

Upgrading ONE card from Level 15 to Level 16 costs around 5,000 Gems. How is 25 Gems supposed to be a consolation prize? Those rewards make absolutely no difference to account progression.

The only Jackpot reward that actually felt like a jackpot was the Maxed-Out Account. Everything else was decent, but those rewards could have been given to far more players instead of being locked behind ridiculously low odds while still being called "Jackpot" rewards.

Another strange thing happened. During the first few days, after claiming your reward, the game asked if you were satisfied with it, with "Yes" and "No" buttons. Then, after a couple of days, both buttons suddenly became "Yes". Why even ask for feedback if you remove the option to say "No"?

And what happened with the event ending?

For days, the Jackpot rewards were being claimed very slowly. Most rewards had only around 100 winners worldwide. Then, suddenly, within just a few hours, every Jackpot reward disappeared, even though my game still showed 2 days remaining. Was the timer wrong? Did the event end early? We still haven't received an explanation.

I honestly hoped I'd have a chance to win the Maxed-Out Account, but I guess I expected too much from Supercell... just like always.

Did anyone else experience the event ending early or feel completely disappointed by the rewards?
