Nice find today! Carnival token, $0.16, and a 1954 silver dime! Been a bit over a month since my last silver find, and glad the drought is broken. Hope everyone is having a wonderful day.

Blessed by the Coinstar Gods this month

Been a while since I got anything good. This month has been different for sure, last week I got a 1964 Canadian silver quarter. Went to the grocery store again today and got a 1944 Mercury dime and a 1964 Roosevelt dime and some assorted foreign currency. Total finds for this year are 1 US silver quarter, 1 Canadian silver quarter, 5 silver Roosevelt dimes, and 1 silver Mercury dime.

Best places to look

Look up retirement community near your location. Alamo California and Walnut Creek have had so much silver I need to start sharing. Good luck and happy hunting. Also check the thrift store in this area ;).

A sweet little lunch break find at a machine that's usually empty 🤘😎🤘

I don't eat at lunchtime, I treasure hunt instead!

Real?

UPDATE: It’s real! Coin shop said not worth slabbing but worth $640 currently. When my kid gets home I’m gonna recommend we sell and invest most of it, but their call. Thank you everyone for the advice!

My kid found this in the local coinstar. I know there are a lot of fakes, but read even fakes can be real gold. Is that true? It’s kinda heavy for the size and non-magnetic. Thoughts? Thanks!

One Bahama Coin, Aladdins Castle Coin, and a Mysterious Penny?

That silver colored coin looks like a shield penny that was rubbed off until the copper color was barely left. Has anyone ever seen this before?

New currency - Caribbean Guilder

Today I learned that Saint Martin replaced the Netherlands Antilles Guilder with the Caribbean Guilder, and I was pleasantly surprised to find this in the reject tray! Definitely the newest world currently I have ever found and I genuinely love the design

The reject tray at Walmart was overflowing! Most amount I’ve ever found at one time.

Checked a random Walmart’s coinstar today after lunch, and me and the kiddos found a massive cache! We were so excited that I foolishly forgot to take a photo of the reject tray itself, but I had to hold my hands while my kids scooped everything out of it!

Ended up with Three Silvers (1 quarter and 2 dimes), almost $10 of US clad coins, $119 in Dominican Republican Pesos, a British Pound, and a Canadian Dime.

Absolutely Insane haul at once! I get three silvers for my collection, the kids get a ton of foreign coins, and gas money driving home from lunch is more than covered!

My best coinstar find so far!

I haven’t been checking coinstar for quite some time since the price of silver jumped up. Figured it was being hunted out of existence for people like me. Had an inkling to check coinstar today and saw big coins in the tray. I grabbed and pocketed them thinking they might be foreign coins. You can understand my excitement when I took these out of my pocket and finally checked them!
