M(20) I am currently in my 4th year of B.Tech and I have four backlogs. My college is conducting the backlog exams on 15th July, but the main problem is that I don't have enough money to pay the exam fee. The total fee is ₹6,000, and I don't even have a single penny right now.

I don't want to ask my parents for money. I'm staying in a hostel, and I think I can only arrange around ₹2,000–₹3,000 by borrowing from my friends.

What should I do in this situation? Are there any practical ways I can arrange the remaining amount before the exam?

This is my first time going to school after a 3 year gap. I have never been to orientation before does anyone know what it’s like? Should I be nervous or any heads up about anything? I’m going to the plano one next month.

Yeah how many hrs a week would you say is a good amount?

And yeah my first practical is coming up so im just curious

I’m planning to drop out of math 1342 elementary statistical methods because my work schedule does fit with the professor’s 9 hour per week expectancy and I can’t ask for days of off work to do the test due to honor lock (not cheating or anything btw). I’m going to talk to my financial aid advisor because I already got the financial aid from the class but I can drop out before the 9 of July.
What do yall think? Good idea or nah?

Has anyone taken this class? If so, what can I expect (I’ve gotten a lot of mixed reviews) and who do you recommend as a professor for online courses?

i didn’t so well my first semester at collin (last fall), and its bringing down my gpa. am i able to retake the class and replace the grade to bring up my gpa or is this not an option? or maybe theres a restriction as to how long ago it was? i want to transfer to a university and my first semester isn’t necessarily appealing. just asking incase anyone else has experience with this since im not exactly finding any leads online. any help would be great! tia!!!

Passed the math TSI this morning and wanted to register for fall classes but I'm still marked as ineligible in the TSI section when I go to the troubleshoot page for each course section.

No active holds when I checked elsewhere on workday. No dumb parchment or UNT reservations for the course sections I'm trying to register for. All of the classes are beginner level and the only pre-req is the TSI.

Does it normally take a day or two for the hold to clear or will I have to call someone? I don't recall having to wait when I passed my ELAR exams a few semesters back.

im a us citizen living in india planning on joining collin plano for the fall semester this year.I didn't wanna take this route but i didn't get into utd and now I'll hv to take a transfer route.Im really scared since I know no one in Texas except my uncle's family where I'm gonna be staying.Im hoping to get a transfer in a yr is it easy?how is the social life at collin will I be able to make friends or is everyone busy with themselves?

Hey everyone! I recently applied for the spring 2027 cohort. I know others did as well so I wanted to see if people would share their scores on teas and prereqs. I know we find out in a couple of weeks so I want some peace of mind. Anyone else super nervous??

Does anyone have any recommendations on which professor to take in person that’s not too hard or strict? Im someone who enjoys actually learning and not too much coursework but enough to help understand.
