Deathwatch Colosseum Help with list!

Heya guys!

I am looking to field a deathwatch army tonight at my lgs for colosseum after work!

It's 2 rounds of 1:30 h for a round.

I looked up what you guys recommended and to my surprise I found that the list

Lieutenant in PA (55)
DW Terminator Squad (190)
Indomitor KT (265)
= 510p

Is not viable anymore.
So I thought I swap the LPA for a Bladeguard Ancient since that's the only character for 45p that could fit.

Should I field that or rethink the whole list?
And to my DW sisters/brothers out there: how do I command this list? Should I make use of the teleport beacon that comes with the terminator squad?

Rules Question

Hey guys quick question about the rules. You’re not allowed to take anything higher than T9.

But is that the printed data-sheet value? What happens if you have a T9 char and give it an enhancment that gives +1 T, is it illegal now?

Has anyone played in a tournament format

Some buddies of mine have been playing the KoTC format for awhile and love it! We want to do a tournament style format.

I know the amazing guys of Play On have done tournaments but I’m not exactly sure how the format would work. Has anyone here done a small tourney style system? If so how did you make it work with a group of 4-6 players.

First match this weekend

Really liking this game mode. It’s a great way to play multiple armies at a minimal cost and the games are quick! It’s a blast. Can’t wait to try more!!

Colosseum Terrain Table Build

I posted previously showing how I played a few games of Colosseum using just a drawn out template on a large piece of paper but I decided to build a purpose built Colosseum to have at home!

Aside from the cost of the STLs and printing, the entire board and terrain was built from stuff in the garage! Floorboards for the base, left over sand and tile cement for the earth, tile backing board for the objectives etc.

Still need to add black trim all the way around and the terrain needs sponged with a grey to tone down the black blotches and I’d love to add some graffiti/posters too. But right now, it’s time to play!

Colosseum Layout Changes for 11th edition?

I would like to get back into 40k, and King of the Colosseum seems like a great mode to become familiar with the rules. I am thinking about buying the Frontline Gaming terrain and mat bundle, but am wondering if it is likely to be changed when 11th edition releases. Has anyone heard any rumors or have predictions?
