So i play sword and i usually play with r as my sprint key but have noticed some issues
however, using ctrl is a big pain in my pinky and is incredibly uncomfortable in general
based on your experience, what would you say would be a better sprint key

I'm gonna be honest, I'm awful at pvp. I've been training for a few weeks and haven't seen any improvement. I understand this stuff takes time but I though I would have seen at least a little improvement by now but I haven't. Its very discouraging. I want to get into pvp really badly but I can seem to get good. I understand everyone has a form of pvp where they shine, but I can't seem to find mine. Is there any chance that anyone would be willing to train me and help me get good?
Am i missing something or is it completely beneficial to offhand the shield if you have no totems left in crystal pvp, and yet no top player seems to be doing that
Also the reason slot 8 is delete is because I use the windows instead of control but I don't want to be opening the start menu so I got a program to rebind it

End crystals good DPS but normal players place blocks on the obsidian and good players place pots making it hard to chain multiple end crystals causing people to not depend on end crystal pvp

My usual combat strategy is
Reach swapping with sword and spear
When opponent switches to shield I then shield disable
then while the shield is down spam respawn anchors
I usually carry 2 spears
1 with lunge the other without lunge
Be prepared for traps at all times
The only limitations on what I can have is just if it can be farmed
Farms that are dependent on natural spawn rate are going to be ineffective due to the lower spawn rate on the server

Sry for the bad footage, my pc is very bad. I also had to cut the match between them bc the opponent was being a runner. and would have added 10 extra minutes to the footage.
Obviously, I know the basic things about him. He beat Technoblade before he was even in his prime, best Irish PvPer and former #1 PvPer, former best EU PvPer, top 10 on MCTiers, Steve skin, I believe he was the first HT1 in Netherite Potion? HT1 in 2 gamemodes, MT2 Sword, HT2 Crystal and LT1 Crystal for A few days, but aside from that, I don’t know much about him. I will say though, he’s not what DM claims him to be. When I got A heart from him, He actually responded to me one time and he was incredibly kind.
FlameFrags is one of Minecrafts top PvPers, no questions asked. He literally won a 2v1000! He is Minecrafts best player... or is he?
We all know that the Unstable SMP is heavily scripted for storytelling and cinematic purposes. The whole Immortal Demon winning 1v100 lore is awesome content, but obviously not realistic in actual Minecraft PvP due to his enemies being more skilled and having actuall stuff, as well as not following commands, and no half a heart plugin.
However, despite the staged narrative, FlameFrags is genuinely a highly skilled player. I was analyzing his real combat performance, using his duels against actual ranked MCTiers players (like Coldified and Ferre) and his general SMP experience, to see where he would realistically place on the MCTiers ladder.
Here is an unofficial breakdown of his estimated ranks across the main 1.9+ game modes:

If we calculate this using the official MCTiers point system (where LT2 is 20pts, HT3 is 10pts, etc.), FlameFrags would sit at 60 points, putting him an the 280th spot. This may seem pretty low for him, but remember that the McTiers ranking system is ass (if you have 1 HT1 in 1 mode and haven't tier tested in anything else, you still get 60 points, stalling with Flame). If you would get 1 point for LT5, 2 for HT5, 3 for LT4, etc, flame would have 40 points, while frzntic (the 100th player on McTiers) would have 33, so in a my opinion fair ranking, he would be around top 80, which is pretty impressive. (It's a hole another story if you would not be able to just retire, the ranking is a gaint hall of fame - yes im looking at you Itz)
This solidly places him in the top 1% category globally. He might not be an unbeatable PvP god, but he is a genuinely top-tier SMP fighter who can hold his own against competitive players.

Okay so i have good internet, very good internet. like 800-900 upload and download speed good, but on hypixel (oh yeah i use ethernet) i have a small delay between when i hit somoen and they acctually take kb, im very low ping like 16-20 low but i still ave this annoying delay which makes it near impossible to start a combo. im on badlion but i dont think its a client thing. help please

I want to improve at 1.8.9 pvp as i’ve been playing bedwars on hypixel since 2020, I’m 600 stars and my pvp is just plain embarrassing for how long i’ve been playing. I don’t know where I’m going wrong or how to even improve, I keep hit trading and when I combo someone I can’t hold it. I e watched countless pvp tips videos but I still suck. Help and tips are greatly appreciated 🥹
If you didn't know, m0xxy back then was #1 on Badlion (which was one of the more competetitive pvp minecraft servers at the time). I keep thinking that if he didn't stop playing minecraft he could have been the best pvper in the content creator space surpassing people like Technoblade and Dream.
In Minecraft Monday, even after not playing the game for years he still managed to accomplish back to back wins against players like xNestorio and Technoblade with xQc as his teammate, I know Minecraft Monday isn't some prestigious competetitive event but that's impressive considering the fact that he won back to back wins against really good players after not playing the game for years.
Now he is a really good at Marvel Rivals and Overwatch but I do wonder what would have it been like If he had never quitted Minecraft especially for the content creator space during the 2019 - 2022 time period.
Im HT4 in crystal and sometimes i like to play on mcpvp.club. Every few rounds, I find someone just diggind blocks and spamming crystals, which i never obsidian fast enough to block. Then, they dig all the way to bedrock and find a hole, camp, and crystal me. If i pearl in, they block it up and pull out a power 5 bow with harming arrows and bow me to death.

It would be very unlikely that we have met before, or that you know who we are. However, our Minecraft Factions server goes all the way back to 2011. You can still check the original Planet Minecraft listing date as proof.
Back in 2011 we started a Minecraft server, a Minecraft Factions server, meant to be a place for experienced players, new players, raiders, builders, faction leaders and friends who just wanted a proper community to play in.
We had a great community. If you want to see some of the old history, search YouTube for "United Factions server". The server eventually went offline a few years later due to personal circumstances of the admins.
But now we are back online.
Let us introduce ourselves. We are SupaYoshi and SirMario1.
We are Minecraft players from the first hour and early Minecraft server adopters. SupaYoshi is a system administrator and Linux engineer, and SirMario1 is an experienced Minecraft server admin.
We have also had great help from experienced Minecraft builders designing our spawn, buildings and server areas. A lot of time has gone into rebuilding United Factions into something that feels familiar, but ready for a new generation of players.

Ever since starting United Factions in 2011, one of the best parts has always been seeing people enjoy the community, form factions, make allies, start rivalries, build bases, defend their land and create stories together.
A lot of servers nowadays lean too hard into pay-to-win systems, protected bases, unfair paid perks or gameplay that removes the risk from factions. For us, factions should still be about defending, raiding, strategy, diplomacy and player skill.
That is what we want United Factions to offer again.

I play mace pvp and practice on theobald map every day. I can stun slam decently well I'd say. I get 100 stun slams on theobald map every day. But my problem is I can't do it while flying very fast or falling from 50+ blocks or so. How do people do it so fast? I don't wanna accuse anyone of anything but sometimes it feels like cheating on some matches. My keybinds are caps lock for axe (8th slot) and V for mace (7th slot). I usually go from my elytra to axe to mace. I quickly press caps lock and v.
I’m thinking about buying the Glorious Mouse Model I 2 and wanted to know if there might be better options out there (1.9 PvP, gamemodes: cpvp, mace and pot). The mouse costs 20€ ≈ 23$ (-75% normal price is 70€).
I was fighting this guy who everyone said was hacking but i don't know if he is, so im just asking.
