Core Builds Icon Pack v1.5.0 — merged (515 icons and the new in-app browser)

Hey Core Crew 👋

Core Builds Icon Pack v1.5.0 is merged and live.

515 icons · 948 mapped components · 12,341 checks passed.

Transparent marks for Projectivy. Apply-all still maps the 16:9 wordmark. Glyphs stay opt-in per app.

✨ WHAT LANDED

• Outfit wordmarks: Banner names and square monograms are path-outlined from one bundled family (Outfit Bold / ExtraBold, SIL OFL). A row of cards no longer mixes hand-drawn letters with whatever sans-serif font the TV happens to have.

• 14 new icons: LocalSend, RS File Manager, Sparkle TV, the Synology set (DS file, video, photo, audio, finder, get, plus Drive), plus FX, Solid Explorer, Material Files, and Ghost Commander.

• Names and matching: 218 slug names now read as apps (WiFi File Explorer, X-plore, 9Now, Peacock). Files no longer steals CX, MiXplorer, or FX. Each manager keeps its own mapping. X-plore is Files, not Gaming.

• In-app browser: Category chips, a Banners / Glyphs toggle, labeled tiles. Find is opt-in so the remote is not trapped in the keyboard. D-pad navigation: apply → style → categories → grid.

• Manual pick actually returns an icon: Projectivy's per-app picker now gets the actual resource returned. Before, the pack opened and handed nothing back.

⚙️ APPLY-ALL, HONESTLY

Projectivy has one apply contract. It reads one file: appfilter.xml. That file maps every matched app to the banner. There is no extra trick for "apply glyphs."

• Apply banners: One press, every mapped app gets the 16:9 wordmark.

• Glyphs: Long-press a card in Projectivy, or use the Banners / Glyphs toggle in this app when the picker is open.

• Projectivy's own "prefer icon or banner" setting only changes how that drawable is framed. It does not swap the mapping.

A true "apply all glyphs" would be a second APK whose appfilter points at the squares. The glyphs mapping is generated and sitting there if we ever ship that.

🛠️ NOT DEVICE-CONFIRMED

LocalSend, RS File Manager, Sparkle TV, and the Synology activities are best-known, not read directly off a box. If one does not auto-assign, run this:

adb shell cmd package resolve-activity --brief your.package.name

Open an issue on GitHub with that line.

After install: open the pack → Apply banners to Projectivy, or go to Projectivy Settings → Appearance → Cards → Icon Pack → Core Builds.

Important: Re-apply the pack after updating or the launcher cache will keep the old marks.

CoreSpeed is live — free browser speed test for TorBox's CDN (Races all 17 nodes at once)

Hey Core Crew 👋

Which TorBox CDN node is actually the fastest from where you are? I got tired of guessing, so I built something that answers it with real data.

CoreSpeed is a new addition to the tools page. It races every TorBox Hyperdrive node simultaneously. It runs ping checks for latency, then executes sustained multi-stream downloads pulling TorBox's real test files. Not synthetic numbers; actual bytes off actual nodes.

📊 WHAT IT GIVES YOU

• Live leaderboard: Every region downloading at once, re-ranked in real-time with per-node bars and peak speeds.

• Streaming verdicts: The part I actually use. Each node gets a plain-English "what can this stream for you" call (from 4K Remux down to SD), computed with 15% headroom so it is not lying to you at the margin.

• History: Your last 15 runs are kept locally with delta-vs-previous columns, so you can spot if your ISP quietly changes your routing.

• World map: Nodes sized and colored by measured speed.

⚙️ HOW TO USE IT

Start with Burst Mode. It runs for 5 to 20 seconds per node, which is enough to accurately rank them while costing a fraction of the data.

There is a hard 12 GB data budget built-in to keep things safe, plus an instant Stop button.

🔒 THE HONEST PRIVACY NOTES

No account, no API key, no signup. The measurement runs entirely in your browser and results stay in localStorage.

The page calls ipapi.co once to place you on the map, and fetches the node list via our Cloudflare proxy to bypass TorBox's missing CORS headers. That proxy reads exactly one public file—no credentials ever pass through. Zero analytics, zero backend storage.

Drop your feedback in the comments! Let me know if a node ranks oddly for your region, since I cannot test global routing from just one location.

Behind the scenes: Core Builds Icon Pack v1.4.0 is live (500+ transparent icons for the sideload scene)

Hey Core Crew 👋

You know I spend most of my time deep in the backend logic of the Configurator, but my journey actually started in visual design and brand architecture. Naturally, staring at a TV launcher full of stretched, mismatched, or missing banners for our sideloaded apps was driving me insane.

So, behind the scenes, I've been working on a passion project to fix it.

Today, the Core Builds Icon Pack is officially jumping to v1.4.0. This is a massive update—expanding from 81 to 501 icons (with 901 mapped components).

✨ WHAT IS IN IT

• 501 transparent icons: Clean 16:9 banners at 320x180. Your launcher's card color shows through perfectly.

• Zero guesswork: Every component is read directly off real hardware or an APK manifest.

• In-app update check: It will now actively notify you when a new version is out.

• One-press apply: Works instantly for Projectivy, Nova, Lawnchair, Apex, and ADW.

📺 THE SIDELOAD LONG TAIL

Mainstream packs cover Netflix and Disney+ and then stop. The entire point of this release is the long tail—the actual apps this community sideloads.

We have covered: TiviMate, Janky, Strmr, DodoStream, CloudStream, Debrify, Lumera, Arvio, OwnTV, StreamVault, Wave TV, Strexo, SYNC, TV Bro, SAI, APKTime, Unlinked, Moonlight, Metrolist, AT4K, ChillHub, LTvLauncher, Monet, and hundreds more.

📥 DOWNLOAD & INSTALL

• Downloader Code: 5270601 (If you have the old v1.0.0 code pinned anywhere, please retire it!)

• GitHub: https://github.com/brevityA/CoreBuildsIconPack

Already installed? It will safely upgrade in place. We kept the exact same signing key and matching fingerprint, so there is no need to uninstall your previous version.

If you are missing an app on your homescreen, drop the package name in the comments and I will get it added!
