v3.2.6: Free Streaming button, smarter sorting + regex cleanup

Hey Folks 👋

Follow-up to yesterday's v3.2 post — a lot landed in 24 hours. Here's the full rundown:

📺 Free Streaming — no subscription needed

The configurator splash screen now has two free-tier buttons:

• 📺 Free Streaming — sets up HTTP-based addons (WebStreamR, Nuvio Streams, Flix-Streams). No debrid account, no torrents, no API keys. Click → done • 🔗 Free P2P — the existing torrent-only path (Torrentio, Knaben, etc.)

Both skip the full questionnaire and land on the finish step immediately. Good for anyone who wants to try Stremio before committing to a subscription.

⚡ Configurator v2.10

• Direct API install — the configurator now tries to create your config directly on the AIOStreams host instead of just handing you an import URL. If the host supports it, you skip the copy-paste step entirely • Paste-back flow — if direct install isn't available, the generated URL is auto-copied and you get a one-click button to open the host's configure page • Template collection — operators can now add one URL to TEMPLATE_URLS and all Core Builds synced URLs (ESEs, ISEs, PSEs, ranked regex) are auto-whitelisted. No more manual URL-by-URL allowlisting

🌐 Foreign Language Kill

New ESE on all 35 non-Anime templates: streams with only non-English audio and no English subtitles are now excluded. If a stream has English audio or English subs, it stays — this only removes streams you genuinely can't watch in English.

Anime templates are fully exempt (Japanese audio with English subs is the expected format).

🔀 Sort criteria rebuilt

Every template's sort order was audited and rebuilt:

• 16-key stable sort across all templates (17 for Hybrid) — position 1 is primary, each key only breaks ties from prior • Per-type overrides — movies, series, cached, uncached, and anime each get tuned key orders • Uncached sort promotes seeders — seeders now rank higher than audio tags for uncached torrents (you need seeds before you care about audio quality) • Anime sort promotes SeaDex — seadex jumps to position 2 (right after cached) on anime queries

🎯 Regex scoring overhaul

The release-group scoring database got a full cleanup:

Removed 49 dead-weight entries: • 35 patterns with score 0 — Vidhin05's synced file already delivers these at score 0, so our inline copies were overriding nothing • 14 patterns incompatible with fortheweak — removed to ensure cross-host imports work

Added 7 new scored patterns: • Anime BD T1/T2/T3 (+100/+60/+40) — elite anime BD groups (Moxie, smol, SoM, DemiHuman, FLE, etc.) were silently getting score 0 because only sub-variant patterns were scored. The main group lists were missing • v0 (−25) — pre-release penalty • DV (Disk) (+40) — FraMeSToR Dolby Vision disk provenance • x266 (+20) — VVC next-gen codec recognition • Uncensored (+20) — Uncut/Unrated editions

Result: 149 → 107 patterns. Leaner, every entry actually does something. 4K templates carry 107 inline overrides, 1080p carry 103.

→ Re-import your template to get all of this.

Big drop: Easy Setup configurator, ranking layer restored, smarter season packs + the biggest Labs update yet

Hey Folks 👋

Biggest update since launch — the configurator got a full novice-friendly overhaul and the templates got a major ranking fix. Here's what's new:

⚡ Easy Setup — configurator v2.8

Setting up used to mean understanding import URLs, UUIDs, and manifest links. Not anymore:

  • 3 quick questions — service, device, resolution. Each tap advances automatically
  • One-click finish — 🚀 Create & Install in Stremio. Password auto-generated, config created on a public AIOStreams host, install button appears instantly
  • Presets are back — ⚡ 4K · Lossless and ⚡ 1080p · DD+ now pre-answer the resolution question but still ask your device (so Samsung / Fire Stick profiles actually apply)
  • Test buttons on API keys — verify your TorBox / RD / AD key is valid before you generate
  • Wrong-field detection — paste a TorBox key into the RD field and it tells you as you type
  • Custom Setup keeps every knob for power users

Also under the hood: share links no longer contain API keys, QR codes are generated locally in your browser, full light-theme support, browser Back button works, and every device option got a plain-English "?" explainer.

🎯 Templates v3.2 — the ranking layer is back

Honest one: the release-group scoring layer (FraMeSToR remux above random encode) has been silently dead in every template since the v2.8.x slimming. The synced regex list carries all-zero scores and the scored copies never made it back after slimming.

v3.2.0 restores it properly — 100 scored patterns on 4K templates, 96 on 1080p, every pattern verified against Vidhin05's current list so elfhosted and fortheweak imports both work.

→ Re-import your template to get this. Every template got a version bump.

📦 Season packs: hard kill, with a brain

Asking for an episode now never returns a season pack when single episodes exist. No more 45 GB pack sitting above the 2 GB episode you wanted.

The exception that makes it safe — the Older-Show Pack Pass:

  • Current show with 1+ single episodes → packs gone
  • Any show with 3+ singles → packs gone
  • Show that ended 2+ years ago with under 3 singles → packs stay (old shows keep working)
  • Anime templates fully exempt — batches stay untouched

🧪 Labs — biggest drop yet

For nightly testers (graduates to stable if testing goes well):

  • Pattern-verified elite tiers — Remux T1 / UHD Bluray T1 matches get their own tier above generic remuxes
  • Adaptive Seeder Guard — kills bottom-quartile-seeded uncached torrents on fresh titles; catalog titles exempt (a 2009 show with 4 seeders is normal, not suspicious)
  • p10–p90 fences — deeper remux pools earn stricter bitrate windows
  • Animation-aware bitrate floors — animation compresses ~50% smaller; the floors now know that
  • Unknown-tag cleanup — untagged streams dropped only when 5+ properly-tagged alternatives exist

Also fixed: the Samsung RU7100 template's protection guards referenced regex names that don't exist in our sync, so its kills fired unconditionally — if 4K BluRay results looked thin there, that was why.

Core Builds v2.2 Configurer

Hey Folks 👋

Big update dropped across the configurator and templates. Here's what's new:

🚀 Free / P2P Quick Start

New purple button on the configurator splash for users who don't have a debrid subscription. One tap → pre-selects P2P · 1080p · DD+ and drops you straight at the AIOStreams install step. No API key, no wizard, no friction.

The two existing quick-starts (4K Lossless · 1080p DD+) are still there for debrid users.

🧩 Parent Config / Base Template

All 28 templates now support AIOStreams' parent/child config inheritance. One "Base Config" holds all your presets, sort criteria, and formatters — child templates inherit it automatically. Change something once, it propagates everywhere.

  • Import the Base Config from the configurator's Review step (enter your UUID)
  • Child templates drop from ~65 KB → ~44 KB

✨ Configurator v2.2 UI overhaul

  • Animated card selection (glow burst + spring-bounce tick)
  • Hovering cards and buttons breathe with a soft pulse
  • Click flash on every button — cyan glow burst on tap
  • Generate button glows cyan, Download button glows green — both pulse continuously
  • Full-screen API key reminder if you try to skip the credentials step
  • v2.2 badge in header and splash

Core Builds configurator just got a big usability update

Hey Everyone 👋

Here's what's new:

  • You can pick more than one debrid service at a time now. Mix and match—TorBox with Real-Debrid, or AllDebrid with EasyNews—whatever works for your setup. Each service gets its own API key spot when you move to the next step.

  • All the extra services like P2P Free, HTTP Streams, NZBGeek, and Debrid.io are tucked away in a dropdown menu. Just click it open and check what you want, so the main screen isn’t cluttered.

  • The review step now walks you through “Download → Import → Install”—a simple guide to help new folks figure out what to do with that JSON file.

  • There's a new reset button too. Hit it, and your session clears instantly—no confirmation pop-up, just straight back to the beginning.

  • Finally, we fixed that annoying TorBox bug. Now, if you pick TorBox along with another service, the API key field shows up like it should.

If you want to try it, check out the configurator: Core-Builds Configurer

Core Builds v3.0.0 is out! What should we add to the Template Configurator next?

Hey folks 👋

Now that v3.0.0 is out in the wild and the new Template Configurator is live, I want to make sure the next round of updates is all about what you actually need.

Right now, there’s the basic 8-step builder and the Advanced section, so you can tweak sound and video priorities. That’s just the starting point—my plan is to open this up for more setups, devices, and all those little filtering preferences you’ve got.

🛠️ What should we add or improve?

Jump in with your thoughts! I want to hear about:

  • New Device Profiles: Got certain TVs, devices, or players you want tuned profiles for? Tell me which ones.
  • Advanced Options: Do you always add the same regex rules, scrapers, or indexer caps manually? Let me know, so we can make those built-in.
  • Configurator Features: Anything missing in the 8-step flow or Quick Start that’d just make things smoother?
  • Template Tweaks: Any weird sorting, behaviors, or features you wish were part of the main features? I’m all ears.

If something’s breaking your setup, acting up, or you’ve got a wild feature idea, don’t hold back.

🔗 Try the new builder here: https://brevitya.github.io/Core-Builds/

📚 Full Directory & Docs: https://core-builds.mintlify.app

Core Builds — New Template Configurator + 30+ templates (TorBox, AllDebrid, Real-Debrid & more)

Hey everyone,

Dropped a new update to Core Builds — the big addition is a browser-based Template Configurator that builds a ready-to-import AIOStreams JSON template based on your setup. No manual JSON editing, no copying raw URLs.

🛠️ Template Configurator

Core Builds Configurator

Answer 5 questions — debrid service, device, resolution, audio, content type — and download a fully wired template. Works offline too (save the HTML and open it locally).

Supports: TorBox Pro / Essential, AllDebrid, Real-Debrid, Premiumize, Debrid-Link, and Hybrid (TorBox + RD).

📋 Template Directory

If you'd rather grab a hand-tuned template directly, the full directory has 30+ templates covering:

  • 4K Apex — flagship 4K with IQR Tukey fence PSEs, Score IQR Guard, elite group pins
  • Stream / Essential / Flash / Speed — 1080p and 4K variants for different use cases
  • Samsung TV, Windows Ultrawide — device-specific codec and audio profiles
  • Anime — SeaDex + AnimeTosho with Best-Only mode
  • Hybrid — TorBox primary with Real-Debrid fallback and priority fetching
  • AllDebrid — full 4K and 1080p stack

Browse the Template Directory

📖 Full Docs

Core Builds Documentation

Includes setup guides, device profiles, expression layer reference, formatter gallery, and changelog.

🔄 How to Import

In AIOStreams — Templates → Import → paste the raw GitHub URL or upload the JSON file.

Note: Set your API credentials after import — templates ship with blank credentials.

Let me know if you run into any issues or have requests for new device profiles.

The difference.

Core Builds doesn’t replace TamTaro’s framework—it actually builds on top of it.

Think of TamTaro as handling the foundation, the expression layer, while Core Builds slides right in with a bunch of pre-tuned templates you can just import.

The big difference? Core Builds hands you over 30 templates covering all sorts of debrid services like TorBox, AllDebrid, Hybrid RD+TorBox, plus device profiles for Samsung, Apple TV, and Fire Stick.

It covers use cases like speed, essentials, anime, 4K—really, almost anything you’d need. Scoring, release group rankings, IQR-based quality gating, flood guards, provider priority—it’s all pre-set, so you don’t have to mess around writing your own expressions.

Want full control over everything in the SEL layer? You’d be better off sticking with TamTaro’s raw setup.

But if you just want something that works right away, Core Builds is a much quicker option.

Core Builds — v2.9.2 / v2.9.3 / v2.9.4 / v2.9.5 release notes (new scraper, WEB-DL fix, MediaFusion default-on)

Been a busy few days. Covering everything since v2.9.1 in one post.

v2.9.2 — Scraper Cleanup

Knaben and Torrent Galaxy were confirmed slow and not adding anything Meteor/MediaFusion/HdHub didn't already catch. They're still in every template as last-resort fallbacks (capped at 1 result each) so they can catch a cache hit when everything else comes up empty — but they no longer run at the same priority as the faster scrapers and won't slow down your stream request on popular titles.

OpenSubtitles V3+ also removed from all templates. AIOSubtitle covers the same subtitle sources so there's no difference in coverage — just one fewer network call per request.

v2.9.3 — 4K WEB-DL Fix for New Releases

The template was accidentally blocking all 4K WEB-DL streams when a 1080p Blu-ray REMUX existed but no 4K REMUX had been released yet. This was hitting new theatrical releases like Spider-Man: Brand New Day where a 4K streaming master exists on Disney+ but the disc hasn't shipped. Fixed — 4K WEB-DL and WEBRip sources now come through correctly in this scenario. Once the Blu-ray arrives and REMUX sources are indexed, those will rank above the WEB-DL as normal.

Also fixed an import error ("Invalid input ➔ at metadata.changelog") on AllDebrid and Samsung TV templates.

v2.9.4 — MediaFusion and HdHub On by Default

Previously both scrapers were opt-in, meaning a fresh import gave you templates that weren't fully set up until you manually enabled them in the Addons tab. They're now on by default so templates work out of the box.

  • MediaFusion — general scraper, adds regional and international content coverage that TorBox's native scraper misses
  • HdHub — TorBox-native P2P scraper, only activates when TorBox is your debrid service

If you don't want either of them, toggle them off in Addons. Your stream list for popular English content is essentially unchanged — the main difference is on niche, foreign, or older titles.

Also fixed the cached-only 4K Apex variant (4K Apex TorBox) which was shipping with its stream delivery addon switched off — importing it and hitting play returned nothing. That's fixed.

v2.9.5 — TorrentsDB Added

TorrentsDB is a Torrentio fork that indexes 21+ providers including YTS, 1337x, Nyaa, AnimeTosho, and a handful of regional trackers the current scraper stack doesn't cover. Native TorBox support, no API key needed. Configured as a backup scraper capped at 1 result — same tier as Knaben — so it doesn't affect query speed on popular titles. Where it helps is niche content, older releases, and anime where the faster scrapers come up empty.

Added to all 13 full-feature templates. Lite, Flash, Speed, and Samsung templates unchanged.

If you already have a Core Builds template installed, AIOStreams will prompt you to update automatically when you next open it — just accept the update and re-enable your services afterwards. If you're importing fresh, use the links below.

Help needed — Labs template import testing (errors expected, that's the point)

The Labs templates are experimental builds testing features that aren't in stable yet — dynamic addon fetching thresholds, optional scraper toggles, and template directives you can configure at import time.

They're not stable. That's fine. What I need right now is import data — specifically what errors AIOStreams throws when you try to load them, so I can work out what's breaking and in what order.

What I need from you

  1. Try importing any Labs template (links below)
  2. Screenshot or copy the exact error text AIOStreams shows
  3. Drop it in the comments — which host (elfhosted, fortheweak, self-hosted) and which template

Even "it loaded fine" is useful. Even partial loads with warnings count. All data points help.

Labs templates

What these are testing

  • Template directives — inputs you set once at import (exit threshold, max wait, optional scrapers). No config editing after import.
  • dynamicAddonFetching — stops querying addons once you have enough cached streams or time runs out. Faster results, fewer redundant scraper calls.
  • Optional presets — MediaFusion, HdHub, SeaDex toggled on/off at import via input fields rather than hardcoded.

Note: Do not use these as your main template. Import alongside your existing config to test, then dismiss after.

Core Builds v2.9.0 — regex whitelist fix for elfhosted & fortheweak + full release notes

If you've been getting "X/N regexes not allowed" errors when importing or saving on public hosts (like elfhosted or fortheweak), this update fixes it. Just re-import your template and it will save cleanly.

What Happened

AIOStreams public hosts validate inline regex patterns against an allowlist before saving. Elfhosted uses Vidhin05's regex file as its source of truth (pattern strings must match exactly), while fortheweak uses a different, stricter allowlist.

Over the last few releases:

  • v2.8.9 — Eight of our pattern strings had drifted from Vidhin05's current file (groups shifted between tiers, R&H relocated). This was fixed by syncing all 39 templates to the current verbatim strings.
  • v2.9.0 — Eleven ranked and three excluded patterns that pass elfhosted were still being rejected on fortheweak. These have been removed from all 33 non-Anime templates. LQ groups stay excluded via Tamtaro's synced URL, and WEB-DL and release group scoring are preserved through the remaining tiers.

What Else Changed Recently

  • Boost Cached Usenet PSE (v2.8.4): TorBox Usenet NZBs with Unknown quality or out-of-window bitrates were falling below cached debrid results. A final catch-all PSE now ranks them where they should be.
  • Hard 1080p Resolution Kill (v2.8.3): All 13 × 1080p templates now block 4K at the ESE level. PSEs rank but don't exclude—without the kill, 4K could surface on 1080p-only devices.
  • seadexBestOnly Fixed (v2.8.3): Five non-Anime templates had this mistakenly set to true, which was silently dropping every non-SeaDex stream for anime queries.
  • pow() Age-Decay Window (v2.8.0): Replaced the hard 60-day new-release cliff with a smooth pow(0.95, daysSinceRelease) decay. This allows a ±40% window at release, tightening to ±9% at day 30, and ~0% at day 90. Applied to 4K Apex, 4K Hybrid, 4K Essential, and 4K AllDebrid.
  • Samsung TV Templates: AV1 and VC-1 are now hard-excluded due to lack of hardware decode on 2018–2022 Tizen. DV-only streams are excluded via Kill ESE, and lossless audio is excluded for pass-through-less setups.
  • AllDebrid Template Family: Full IQR PSE set added, utilizing the same ESE stack as TorBox Pro. Available in four variants: 4K, 4K Lite, 1080p, and 1080p Lite.
  • Labs Templates Fixed: AIOStreams renamed its metadata.inputs fields (keyid, labelname). All 4 Labs templates now load correctly again.

Which Template Should I Use?

If you have... Start here:
TorBox Pro + Usenet 4K Apex or Stream
TorBox Essential only 4K Essential or Essential
Fire Stick / budget device Stream (Fire Stick)
Samsung TV (2018–2022) Samsung TV or Samsung TV 4K
AllDebrid 4K AllDebrid or AllDebrid
EasyNews Speed 4K+ or Speed EasyNews
Cached-only instant play Flash 4K or Flash

Links & Import

If you are still hitting whitelist issues, drop your error message in the comments below and I'll check it against the allowlist!

What's coming to Core Builds

With v2.8.4 out and the bug sweep done, here's what's next.

Currently in Labs (test now)

Four Labs templates are available right now for testing. These are experimental — they may change frequently but are safe to use. Import URLs are in the wiki: https://github.com/brevityA/Core-Builds/wiki/Nightly-and-Labs

4K Apex Labs (v0.5.3) Testing: hybrid regex+SEL architecture (elite groups via releaseGroup() pin, x264/IMAX via native encode()/visualTag()), dynamicAddonFetching exit conditions (exits at 5+ cached 4K or 6s), per-scraper toggle directives.

Stream Labs (v0.3.2) Same hybrid regex+SEL architecture as 4K Apex Labs — 1080p variant. Exits at 5+ cached 1080p or 5s.

Essential Labs (v0.1.1) TorBox debrid-only 1080p — no external scrapers. Library + TorBox Search only. Testing TorBox Search toggle and exit thresholds.

4K Essential Labs (v0.1.1) Same as Essential Labs but 4K.

Coming Next (Expression Layer)

The biggest chunk of upcoming work is a set of new PSEs and ESEs being built from scratch — no Tamtaro equivalent to reference for any of these.

REPACK/PROPER Passthrough ISE Pins REPACK/PROPER releases ahead of quality filters so patched releases always surface. Most useful for Anime (fansub REPACKs) and Hybrid templates where a fix release might get caught behind a gate.

Per-Addon Flood Guard ESE Caps results per scraper — Meteor ≤5, Comet ≤5, MediaFusion ≤4, public trackers ≤3 — on cached non-library streams. Right now Meteor can return 15–20+ results and dominate the list. This brings balance without sacrificing coverage.

Usenet Propagation Guard ESE Holds back NZBs younger than 2 hours when better-propagated alternatives exist. Eliminates the corrupt early-grab problem where the first NZB to hit the index is incomplete.

Audio Pinnacle PSE Within the ranked pool, promotes lossless and object-based audio: Atmos/TrueHD → DTS-HD MA/DTS-X → EAC3/DD+. Currently audio is sorted by global sort criteria rather than actively ranked within quality tiers.

HDR / DV Priority PSE Within 4K results, surfaces DV/HDR10+/HDR10 ahead of SDR equivalents of the same quality tier.

New Templates

Mobile / Bandwidth template — 25 Mbps bitrate ceiling, SDR-preferred, no REMUX. Covers mobile data, travel, and bandwidth-capped setups. Nothing like this exists in the lineup yet.

Anime Dub 4K — English-dub priority at 4K. The 1080p Anime Dub exists; the 4K variant doesn't.

Docs Site

A Mintlify-based docs site is in the works to replace the GitHub wiki — same style as the AIOStreams docs. Will cover template selection, importing, device profiles, formatters, and troubleshooting in a proper searchable format.

Core Builds Labs 🧪 — experimental Nightly builds are now open for testing

Core Builds Labs: New Experimental Nightly Builds

We've launched Core Builds Labs—a set of experimental Nightly builds where new ideas are tested before being promoted to stable templates. Two are available right now.

🧪 What's in Labs right now

Both builds are currently running three simultaneous experiments:

1. Hybrid Regex + SEL Architecture

Stable templates use regex score patterns to rank elite release groups (e.g., FraMeSToR, FLUX, SiC). Labs replaces these with native SEL functions:

  • releaseGroup() + pin(): Instead of a "+100" score, elite releases get physically pinned to the top.
  • visualTag(streams, 'IMAX'): Uses native field lookup instead of regex patterns for cleaner execution.
  • encode(streams, 'x264'): Hard-exclude available for testing (currently disabled by default).

2. dynamicAddonFetching (Early Exit)

Normally, all addons (Comet, MediaFusion, Meteor, Knaben) run in parallel, regardless of what TorBox has already returned. Labs introduces an exit condition:

  • 4K Apex Labs: Exits when you have 5+ cached 4K streams, or after 6 seconds.
  • Stream Labs: Exits when you have 5+ cached 1080p streams, or after 5 seconds.

For popular content with a full TorBox cache, scrapers won't finish their full round-trip, dropping response time from ~5s to ~1–2s. For niche content where TorBox comes up short, all scrapers run normally.

📥 Import URLs

4K Apex Labs 🧪 (4K + 1080p) core-nexus-4k-apex-labs.json

Stream Labs 🧪 (1080p) core-nexus-stream-labs.json

Note: These are Nightly builds—they update frequently and may have rough edges. They are best used as a second install alongside your stable build.

📣 Feedback Needed

Drop your findings in this thread; all feedback feeds directly into the next stable release:

  • Does response time feel faster on mainstream content?
  • Are you getting fewer results than the stable build for any specific titles?
  • Are pinned elite groups (FraMeSToR, FLUX, SiC) consistently appearing first?
  • Is anything unexpected making it through the filters?

Early Release Some Issues Expected

CoreBuilds v2.8.2 Update

We just released a new update to make templates lighter and fix some major playback bugs.

WHAT'S NEW & FIXED:

• Smaller, Faster Templates: All templates are now under 100 KB. We cleaned up the background code and fixed scoring conflicts to make them run smoother.

• Samsung TV Playback Fixes: Fixed an issue where streams would silently fail to play on older Samsung TVs (2018-2022). The templates will no longer try to play unsupported AV1/VC-1 video formats.

• Anime Bug Fixed (4K Apex): Fixed a bug in the Apex template that was accidentally hiding non-SeaDex Anime streams.

• Better Audio & Video Filtering: Added support for Stereo (2.0) audio, removed junk low-resolutions (144p-360p), and removed fake "AI Upscale" HDR tags.

• Standardized Results: Templates now consistently return a maximum of 20 results overall (up to 8 per resolution).

Expression layer update — 7 custom SEL expressions planned, Pro deprecated, all templates audited

Core Builds Update — Apex Transition, Expanded Expression Layer, and Template Audit

A few things landed this week worth knowing about.

🛑 Core Nexus 4K Pro is Deprecated

Pro is gone from the active template list. Core Nexus 4K Apex is the direct replacement — it features an identical ESE stack, identical sort criteria, identical dedup config, and adds the adaptive IQR bitrate PSEs that Pro never had. If you are on Pro, import Apex; there is nothing in Pro that Apex does better. Pro files are kept in Deprecated/ for reference but will not receive further updates.

Apex import link: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/brevityA/Core-Builds/refs/heads/main/Templates/Torbox/Single/core-nexus-4k-apex.json

🧠 The Expression Layer is Expanding

We have been running 4 custom SEL expressions in trial on Stream v2.7.10. The full planned suite is now mapped out, totaling 7 expressions.

In Trial (Stream Only)

  • REPACK/PROPER Passthrough: Pins REPACK and PROPER releases ahead of the excluded and limit stages so they always surface.
  • Per-Addon Flood Guard: Caps results per scraper (Meteor ≤5, Comet ≤5, MediaFusion ≤4, Torrent Galaxy / EZTV / Knaben / HdHub ≤3) so no single addon floods the list.
  • Usenet Propagation Guard: Holds back NZBs younger than 2 hours when propagated alternatives exist to eliminate corrupt early-propagation grabs.
  • Codec Efficiency Booster: Surfaces HEVC and AV1 encodes ahead of AVC at 1080p and 720p for better bandwidth efficiency.

Planned (Post-Trial)

  • Audio Pinnacle: Promotes lossless and object-based audio (Atmos/TrueHD → DTS-HD MA/DTS-X → EAC3/DD+).
  • HDR / DV Priority: Surfaces DV and HDR variants ahead of SDR within 4K results.
  • AI Upscale Exclusion: Excludes streams containing AI upscaling keywords (topaz, ai-upscale, upscaled, neural, enhancedai).

Note: All 7 are inline and work on every AIOStreams instance.

🔍 Tam-Taro Audit Findings

While Tam-Taro handles tiering, bitrate floors, seeder intelligence, SeaDex passthrough, result limiting, and file type exclusion well, it does not touch audio quality ordering, HDR/DV separation within 4K, codec preference, or AI upscale detection. Core Builds is not replacing Tam-Taro; the expression layer sits on top of it.

🛠️ Template Audit

All 31 active templates were checked. Every template now has consistent dedup keys, tiebreakers, per-addon timeouts, Zilean + Meteor resources fix, HdHub preset, and hasChapters formatter. Apex-TorBox and 4K Hybrid were version-bumped to 2.7.5.

Feedback is welcome, especially on expressions 5, 6, and 7 before they roll out. If you are running Stream v2.7.10 on the trial branch, please share your results.

Why Core Builds exists — the problem it solves

AIOStreams is one of the best tools in the debrid streaming space. The problem is the setup.

Out of the box you get a blank configuration. To make it work properly you need to:

- Choose and configure a scraper stack (Comet, Zilean, Torrentio, Knaben, etc.)

- Write or import stream expressions to kill bad releases (CAM, low bitrate, upscaled 4K, etc.)

- Set up scoring so good release groups rank above random encodes

- Configure deduplication so you don't get 40 results for the same file

- Tune sort order so cached streams always come first

- Pick a formatter so the results are actually readable

- Wire up TMDB, RPDB, SeaDex if you want proper metadata and anime support

Most people either skip most of this (and get mediocre results) or spend a weekend getting it right. And when AIOStreams updates, configs break and you start over.

Core Builds handles all of it. The templates are versioned, they support in-app update notifications, and they're built around the Tamtaro SEL framework which keeps filter expressions synced automatically.

The goal isn't to be the only way to use AIOStreams — it's to give people a solid starting point that actually works, and a reference to learn from if they want to go deeper.

Core Builds — Repo update + what's next

Hey r/CoreBuilds,

Quick update on what's been going on with the repo this week.

What got done:

  • RB3 Clean v4 formatter is now documented with a Stremio-style preview and listed in the Formatters directory alongside everything else. Both RB3 formatters moved to the main Formatters/ folder.
  • Template directory got a full overhaul — new banner, quick reference table, cross-links to the setup guide, and a disclaimer. Every subfolder now has its own README.
  • Samsung TV nightly templates are now documented — explains the DV-only kill ESE for anyone confused why DV streams disappear on Samsung.
  • Repo cleanup — 18 outdated README files removed, deprecated folders consolidated, RB3 filenames cleaned up, readme casing standardised.
  • CI now checks that every raw GitHub URL in a markdown file points to a real file. Catches broken import links automatically.
  • Formatters README has a new quick comparison table across all 16 formatters.

What's coming:

  • v2.6.4 template update — filter stack tuning pass
  • Apex v2 as the new default formatter in templates
  • Possible Fire TV / Android TV nightly variant
  • Community templates always welcome — open a PR to Community-Templates/

Import URLs haven't changed. Drop a comment if anything breaks.

AIOStreams template pack for TorBox — v2.5.1 out now (new repo + Lite suite + Flash tier)

Core Builds by Brevity — New Repo + v2.5.1

Hey everyone — the repo has moved to a new location. The old GitHub account got locked out, so I've rebuilt clean on a new account with CI, test coverage, and automated upstream syncing from day one.

Templates are identical — same filtering, same presets, same formatters — just with corrected links and a couple of long-standing technical issues fixed.

> Transparency: The templates were created from scratch and debugged with AI assistance. GitHub infrastructure and this post were also AI-assisted. Flair: Community Project (Built by AI).

> ⚠️ Important: The Update button will not detect the new repo. You must do a fresh import: AIOStreams → About → Get Started → Load Template → paste the new URL → re-enter API key → Save → reinstall in Stremio.

What's new in v2.5.1

12 Lite Templates — Every active template now has a Lite variant. Relaxed filtering, 30 global / 12 per resolution result limits. Same sorting, same ISEs. Use Lite if you're on a low-overhead host or consistently getting under 5 results.

Flash Tier — Cached-only instant play. Stops querying after 2 cached results. Zero uncached results ever shown. Flash 4K and Flash 1080p available.

Anime 4K — 4K-first anime build. DV → HDR10+ → HDR, Atmos → TrueHD → FLAC. Full 4K PSE tier stack.

TV Formatter — 10-foot UI, full uppercase, coloured resolution circles 🔴🔵🟢.

Apex v2 Formatter — Score number visible in line 1, per-language subtitle flags instead of binary SUB badge.

Speed EasyNews — EasyNews-only instant play, no TorBox required.

# Core Builds v2.2.9 is out -- Stability patch for AIOStreams backend changes (Essential & Pro 4K)

[RELEASE] Core Builds v2.2.9 — Urgent Patch for AIOStreams Updates (Essential & Pro 4K)

Hey everyone,

The recent AIOStreams backend update threw a wrench in the works for a lot of people, causing [ERR] Failed to fetch streams failures. I have just deployed v2.2.9, a stability patch specifically for the Essential and Pro 4K templates to get everything running smoothly again.

🚨 TL;DR: Why the update?

If you’ve been getting [ERR] search failures, your AIOStreams instance is likely trying to scrape Usenet sources that your specific account tier doesn't have permission for. This triggers an API rejection (403 Forbidden) that crashes the whole search cycle. v2.2.9 kills those dead-end scrape paths and optimizes the build for your specific tier.

🛠️ What’s Fixed?

For Essential Cores (4K):

  • Crash Resolution: Removed "dead" Usenet (Newznab) dependencies from meteor and torbox-search presets. This stops the API 403 crashes once and for all.
  • RPDB Baking: Your RPDB API keys are now baked directly into the builds. No more poster art configuration headaches.
  • Debloat: Removed legacy failover logic (nzbFailover, cacheAndPlay) that was eating up resources on non-Usenet accounts.

For Pro Cores (4K):

  • Addon Stack Cleanup: Disabled a redundant manual newznab preset that was conflicting with the new AIOStreams native search architecture.
  • Scraping Efficiency: Streamlined the handshake between TorBox and secondary indexers for snappier results.

📥 How to Apply (Important!)

Since these changes alter the underlying template structure, you must re-import your templates.

  1. Visit your AIOStreams configuration dashboard.
  2. Tap the Import icon (inward arrow in the bottom right corner).
  3. Select Import from File and upload the latest patched JSON for your specific tier.
  4. Click Save to update your manifest.
  5. Restart Stremio or WuPlay.

Note: Your stored API keys and service configurations are saved in your browser local storage and will persist through the import. If you run into issues, check your Addons tab to ensure your services are still toggled "On."
