I was excited to see the improvements listed in the changelog.

But I have yet to see it pushed onto the Playstore for my 2 Nvidia Shields. Anyone else? I'm in the US, have the pro purchase.

EDIT: I joined the beta, but I finally just did the sideload. The github version updated right over the Playstore version without issue. I believe that means the signatures match and if/when another update eventually comes, it can be updated via the Playstore (or sideloading again).

Apologies as I'm new to this. I've downloaded and installed projectivy on my fire cube. It all works but on startup or when I click home button it just takes me back to the default home screen. Any ideas how to make it default on start up

found out about projectivy launcher today, proceed to spend the entire evening on it.

I’ve been trying to make my Sony Google TV as clean and functional as possible. what I’m currently using:

• Projectivy Launcher – Replaced the stock Google TV launcher.
• MX Player – Local media playback.
• BrowseHere – Web browser.

I’m looking for recommendations to improve my setup. Specifically:

• Better alternatives to any of the apps above.
• Hidden gem apps that every Google TV user should know about.
• Utilities, file managers, launchers, browsers, media players, remote access, customization tools, developer tools, etc.
• Cool use cases or workflows that most people don’t know about.

I don’t mind sideloading apps if they’re worth it.

What does your Google TV setup look like? Which apps are must-haves in 2026?

I have the Downloader app on my Fire TV, but am unable to download Projectivy. I am able to enter "Projectivy" into the search field, but can't actually make anything download. Please advise.

Sony BRAVIA 8 II (4K AE2) - Android TV 14 - Security patch level 5 March 2026 - recent update 🤷🏻 seemed to break stuff and slow tv down loads 🤦🏻

Projectivy Launcher version 4.70 (same issue on 4.68 after tv update).

Prevent system screensaver - off.

Remote Control:

Display info on "Menu" double press - on. (Also not working).

"Ambient Mode" on "Back" double press - on.

Accessibility service:

Enabled - Yes.

Started - Yes.

If there is anything else I need to add, please let me know. I used to be able to put music on, press the home button, then double press back to open Ambient Mode as screensaver. Now the launcher dims the screen and shows my video background with icons faded. I have tried multiple different backgrounds, and changing multiple settings, I have even revoked Projectivy accessibility services and enabled it again. Nothing seems to work. This has all come after a tv update, as far as I can tell, but it was working wonderfully prior to this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm still waiting on the latest release to hit the Google play-store on my Google streamer.

I have tried installing the latest GitHub APK manually, the update starts but stops at about 20% and returns to the previous screen.

My file manager pro has special app permissions. I've tried several reboots, and also tried force closing the launcher to update from the stock launcher but the same behaviour occurs.

Has anyone on a Google streamer managed to update successfully?

Like many Fire Stick and Fire TV Cube owners, I’m using Projectivy Launcher to save myself from Amazon’s increasingly cluttered, ad-heavy stock interface. It’s an absolute lifesaver, but I’ve hit the inevitable roadblock: trying to unlock Projectivy Premium on an environment without native Google Play Services.

I recently stumbled upon a whispered workaround in a few streaming circles and wanted to run it past the experts here to see if it actually holds water or if it's pure snake oil before I spend the cash.

The Proposed Method: Purchase on Mobile: Buy the one-time Premium upgrade on an Android phone directly through the standard Google Play Store. Sideload Aurora Store: Install the Aurora Store APK onto the Fire TV device. Account Sync: Log into Aurora Store using the exact same Google account used for the mobile purchase. Deploy App: Download or update Projectivy Launcher via the Aurora Store, hoping the app pulls the license state directly from the account profile.

The Big Questions: Does Projectivy’s license verification check rely strictly on a live handshake with the Google Play Billing API on the device, or will it recognize a purchase flag pulled down via Aurora? Has anyone successfully pulled this off on Fire OS 7 or 8 without running into a permanent BILLING_UNAVAILABLE loop?

If this method is dead on arrival, is there any other legitimate, non-pirated avenue to get premium features running on Bezos hardware? Would love to get some definitive answers from anyone who has actively tested this setup. Cheers!

I had no idea that the launcher was updated

But it added 3 hidden categories back to my home screen

The sliding table option disappears when the table option is selected

Loving Projectivy! One small thing- whenever I hit the home button, the VSee home screen splashes onscreen for a sec before the Projectivy UI loads. Is there a way I can stop that?

The latest version did not auto install on my Nvidia Shield Pro, remaining at 4.68. So I downloaded the 4.7 apk today and tried sideloading it. But the message that sprang up was "this update is meant for a newer version of Android" and wouldn't install. There you have it guys, another reason for nVidea to upgrade the Shield.

Any idea when the update will hit the google store?
