Realistic Expectations for DLC 2 Release Date
Next week begins the releases of the Fall heavy hitters with Gears E Day on 10/6, followed by MW4 on 10/27 and then GTA VI on 11/19. Between all of the coverage and news on those games (along with the other games releasing) it’s going to be pretty crowded for media outlets to cover DLC for games that have already been out for almost a year already. With that being said, I truly think we won’t see DLC 2 releasing until December, which makes the most sense in all reality. It’ll be around the 1 year anniversary of the game, cross-promote with Avengers Doomsday and have time to get that media coverage it deserves after the dust settles a bit from the AAA games releasing.
A big indicator too is that Marvel Games has no media planned at NYCC next week. Unless it shadow drops next Monday (which would be a great surprise) I don’t see it coming out until December, and I’m perfectly ok with that. If it gives the team more time to flesh out the DLC and make it to the quality we are hoping for, by all means Tribute take your time - we know you’ll deliver the goods when it’s ready!
