Dotemu will be at Gamescom next week. Hopefully they’ll release some more information regarding DLC 2! If not, then helpfully we’ll get some news (or a release)on or around NYCC in October!
Maybe they’ll do a cross promotion with the upcoming show and film coming out in the fall? I would not mind Vision or Doom, but I hope they continue to support the game well into 2027 with more DLC characters!

Out of these 8, which two characters do you think we’ll see in DLC pack 2? Which two do you think would generate the most buzz and sales for the company?
With a Fall 2026 release, do we think the DLC pack will come out early Fall (September) or possibly in December?
Arguments can be made for both - September/October to stay away from GTA 6’s release, but with all of those other big releases it may be overshadowed by other games. If it releases in late November/early December, it would align with its anniversary date and may stand out a bit more. Plus a December release could help promote Avengers Doomsday.

This costume design would go hard in Cosmic Invasion. Fingers crossed he’ll be playable in DLC pack 2!
Now that we’ve seen all of the characters, I’m a little bummed that the only character that really leaned into the Japanese influence was Iron Man. I do like that characters are mostly true to their comic counterparts but I think the team could have leaned a little more into the Japanese influence. Blade kind of does the same as well, but I think they played it safe with him.
Not sure if anyone agrees. Maybe we’ll see some alternative costumes that will do so.
Darkhawk’s helmet is a little exaggerated but any of these three characters would go hard! Vision, Hawkeye and/or Darkhawk in DLC Pack 2!! Let’s go!!
Playing Marvel Ultimate Alliance and fighting the AIM troopers on the elevator brought me right back to Cosmic Invasion’s elevator fight! Crazy to see the references and inspirations! Also this year marks the 20th anniversary for MUA, let’s hope we see a 4th entry in that series or even a full remaster of the original!
If this isn’t writing on the wall for what’s to come for Ghost Riders team in Tokon, idk what is! New members are Daredevil, Blade, Ghost Rider, Moon Knight and Clea.
Do not be surprised if three out of the four seen in the image make it to Ghost Riders team! I can see them swapping Clea for Scarlet Witch though

The evidence is there in the past, who knows if he’ll be included in Marvel Cosmic Invasion as the “true” 4th Avengers rep. With a new “archer” gameplay style, he’ll play unlike any other character in the game and would be a welcome addition to the roster! I’m confident Tribute Games would make him incredibly fun to play as and give him that awesome Cosmic Invasion art style, like they’ve done with all of their other characters!
If one of the two characters in DLC pack 2 is a female, which character do we want to make it into the game?
The inclusion of Darkhawk in Marvel Cosmic Invasion would solidify this game as GOAT status. I feel the developers and Marvel would want to play it safe by adding fan favorites as paid DLC but if they take the risk and give us Darkhawk, I’m confident the fans would buy him for sure! Maybe a double hawk power pack with Hawkeye and Darkhawk!
Plain and simple, if Marvel Games sees the support for Marvel Cosmic Invasion and DLC packs 1 and 2, we can almost for certain see more content be released next year and so on. Great read from IGN and good insight into the development of the game and what may come next 👀
For some reason, Hawkeye is usually added to games as a post launch character - whether as DLC or exclusive to a certain console. We’ve seen this with MUA where he was playable only on the PSP version and then added in the Gold Edition for the consoles. With LEGO Marvel Super Heroes he was added in the first DLC pack.
Aside from Cyclops, Hawkeye is my top pick to make it into the game as a playable character. Here’s hoping by looking at the past, he’ll be added to Cosmic Invasion in DLC pack 2.

Survival Mode with a Secret Invasion spin on it. Traveling to various map locations (similar to Shellshock dimensions from TMNT SR) and fighting various enemies from Cosmic Invasion and now Secret Invasion including Skrulls and their variants of the playable characters and bosses already in the game. This would allow the developers to use the same existing sprites, be able to fight “Skrull versions” of the playable characters, add a few new Skrull enemy types and keep the game alive and replay value high.
Honestly this idea could even work as a sequel - Marvel Secret Invasion or Marvel Skrull Invasion.
