Now this idea may be crazy for a beat ‘em up but with the combos this game has, it might be crazy enough to work. A game mode the devs can possibly add is a Versus Mode, both offline and online. Being able to play against the computer or friends online or locally would be incredibly fun.

With DLC Pack 2 adding 2 more characters, that’ll bring the game to a total of 19 playable characters - 1 less than the base roster for Marvel Tokon. To add a competitive versus mode would bring back MvC nostalgia and be an alternative for Marvel Tokon. The only downside to this mode may be the longevity to keep players coming back (compared to a Survival Mode), but would still be pretty awesome!

Personally, the best and most requested game mode the devs will hopefully add is a survival, procedurally generated mode similar to Dimension Shellshock from TMNT Shredders Revenge.

A concept they can easily go with that’ll fit with the narrative and theme of the game is Kang the conqueror altering the timeline and we fight through various stages where we’ll have defeat various enemy types (hopefully a few new ones), bosses in the main game again including Annihilus as well as Kang and Doctor Doom. Endless possibilities plus a plug for Avengers Doomsday - makes perfect sense.

This along with new, fan requested characters appearing in the backgrounds similarly how characters from the TMNT universe appeared on certain stages in the survival mode in Shredders Revenge would make lots of fans happy.

Considering that DLC pack 2 will have only 2 characters, here’s some ideas to consider:

-Possibly getting a 4th Avengers rep to complete the team of Captain America, Iron Man and Black Panther

-Possibly getting a 4th Female Rep, who can also double as another cosmic rep

-The devs disregard the first two points and go for fan favorites to really make sure the DLC sells

My picks to satisfy the avengers team as well as the 4th female character rep are Hawkeye and Crystal from the inhumans.

Hopefully there will be more character packs after DLC 2.

What do you think the game mode will be? Survival? Combat mode where you can fight the other playable characters and bosses?

Cyclops and the Thing are awesome additions. I’d say Cyclops was the biggest request and Thing was a pleasant surprise.

What we can gather from this is that the dev team is listening to the feedback and requests from us. Here’s hoping DLC pack 2 has more than just two characters, or that more DLC character packs will come after. Seeing how they made Cyclops incredibly unique and sick to play as, I can only imagine how creative they’d get with characters such as Hawkeye, Daredevil and Nightcrawler.
Would love to see Blade, Gambit, Iron Fist and maybe even Iceman join the mix!

Top picks for DLC 2 - Nightcrawler, Hawkeye, Mr. Fantastic and Iceman

Some stats showing the Steam sales for each of the games. Considering Shredder’s Revenge has been out for years now, I wouldn’t consider Cosmic Invasion dead as it does have strong sales and this is not even including the sales on other consoles. I’m confident we’ll see more content be released for it down the line, hopefully sooner than later.

Cyclops (with or without the cowl) and some possible color alts for each!

If added as DLC, these color alts would be ideal for Hawkeye! Obviously Purple and different shades of blue, but a red and black variant as well as a black and gold to represent Ronin would be sick! And a full purple sleeve version would be cool, like how they shortened/added to Storm’s costumes alts.

Looking at Shredder’s Revenge as a baseline, the first pack of DLC characters did not release until 1 year after the release of the base game. What’s timely here is that Avengers Doomsday releases in December which is a year after the release of Cosmic Invasion. It may be likely that there may be cross promotion for the film and for the game with DLC content, whether it’s a new mode, new characters or hopefully both!

Also, because it’s a Marvel game, hopefully the team releases more characters as DLC than they did for Shredder’s Revenge, the 6 in the image would be solid!
