LIBERAL CITY is dead!!!

LIBERAL CITY is dead!!!

My, what original right wing slop you have sir!

Not to dox too much, but I’m a lifelong Cub fan and have had family in/around the city longer than I’ve been alive. Times I’ve felt unsafe in the city in my hundreds of trips? 0.

Still Hating On Noah Yeah?

Bro acts like he was in love with Noah or some shit. He is still talking about Noah being a loser and pathetic. Like that's old fucking news. Shaming Noah glazing Mika and made a shirt Mika's face on it. That's creepy. Caleb get over Noah. GET OVER IT. WHY DO YOU STILL HAVE THAT PHOTOGRAPH THATS GROSS MAN. There is no lore it's just an ex employee who had a mismatch in personality with you and other employees he wasn't a good fit. I hope Noah sees this shit and spill all that fucking dirt and tea about Caleb. Yeah Noah complained a lot but he has so much filth on Caleb. Caleb wants to piss people off so bad that's what he does best. Hate is so gross man.

19/8 audit

You know what I won’t believe Caleb? In my opinion there hasn’t been a legitimate guest in years. They might take submitted budgets, sure, but I can’t believe anyone in at least two years has shown a legitimate interest or effort in actually improving their finances…on a show called Financial Audit.

Can't delete the banking info that I just entered without paying for app?

Hi everyone, I just downloaded the $Wise app seeing that I could get 3 days free and so I downloaded it, gave it my bank account info (which it said, and I verified, that I could remove at any time in the app) and as soon as I finished that step it then asked me to provide my card info to pay $9.99 a month after the 3 days. This was a surprise to me because why would i need to enter my card info to pay if I was told I'd get the first 3 days free.. anyways I dont want to use it now because I'm not going to get another subscription that I'll eventually need to figure out how to cancel so I tried going back and there is no way to remove your accounts once you attach them without actually signing up to pay the monthly fee.

So my question is, do you know how I can remove my bank info/stop the app from accessing my banks without having to now subscribe?

Caleb is just so frustrating

Every single one of his mannerisms seems fine-tuned to irk me as much as possible. He constantly talks over people, even when they're trying to answer whatever inane question he asked them, and none of it is ever anything important since all he seems to do is throw cheap shot insults around or do ridiculously performative screechy rants about how stupid somebody is. He acts like having any sort of debt at all represents some sort of inexcusable moral failing rather than being something to be solved, and seems to believe that if you have any debt you have to eat nothing but rice and beans and can't have anything nice, which is painfully reductive and not actually all that helpful or even insightful, since he never seems to have any real advice at all.

Why do people watch this guy?

Changes in the show

About two years ago, the show used to be about ordinary people who either found themselves in difficult situations or simply didn’t know how to manage their money properly. Now, almost every guest is some kind of freak with $5–10K in debt. And honestly, most of them don’t even have that much debt because they don’t have a high enough income or access to larger amounts of credit.
The guests used to be much more interesting to me — different professions, different ages, and completely different life situations. But for the past two months, it’s basically been a parade of weirdos. And for me, it all started with that girl who was smoking weed while she was pregnant.
On top of that, every other guest seems to be a disgusting racist now. It started with the woman who was a swimming instructor, but she wasn’t disgusting at all — I actually felt sorry for her, and I thought she was genuinely interesting. But all these racist comments now aren’t even jokes; they’re just straight-up racist remarks. And Tyler’s whole appearance was such bullshit.
Honestly, I think their views have dropped because all these people they’ve been bringing on lately are just incredibly off-putting and unpleasant to watch.

"Financial Audit" Audit (deleted on the main sub)

Can't handle even mild criticism it seems

The skit in the OF model one really saves the pie chart.

The show is becoming shit.

I know this is the general consensus, but it’s so disappointing how shit the show is becoming. The episode with Al didn’t even touch finances until the last 15 minutes.

I’m also noticing how horribly hypocritical Caleb is. He claims he’s not racist and “freaks” out when they actively choose people they know are going to say the N word, but if you watch The Caleb Hammer Show, it’s him and Brandon constantly making racist/stereotypical remarks and honestly, just judging the F*CK out of people.

If you’re going to be that way, fine. It can be funny occasionally, but don’t act like you’re high and mighty and keep your show about finances if you’re the “finance guy”.

Two points

  1. Putting the over/under at Caleb working a fast food job (Or honestly any honest job) at a half hour.

  2. Of course you’re the whitest thing in the thumbnai 🙄

Ads

This show has become nothing but one huge advertisement. If it’s not Gamersupps it’s one of the million others for Dollarwise, the YouTube lawsuit, or Chime just to name a few.. there’s plenty of others. Mix in the YouTube ads that are dotted around seemingly every 5 minutes of an hour and 40 minute show and it turns into a slog. I hit my second “You suck with money, so you download a budgeting app..” ad on the last episode and just shut it off. What a cash grab money hungry show and host this is.
