Caleb Hammer is Disrespectful as Fuck

Anybody else feel that Caleb Hammer’s content has significantly gone downhill? His financial advice is no longer helpful and he just attacks the person with verbal digs and throws around the r word. He’s genuinely revealed some racism as well in these past few episodes. Used to love his videos but getting tired of the way he talks to people. I wish he would just focus on the finances and helping them rather than being so rude.

I have asked YouTube FIVE TIMES to stop showing me his content

Is anyone else having this problem? I can’t get better finance channels unless I search it myself. Screw this algorithm seriously feel like on back on the dumb Shapiro ads if you guys know what Im talking about.

Update: clearing it worked I guess never ask YouTube to remove from your page cause that’s completely useless

Are caleb Hammer super fans one of the dumbest demographics on the internet?

I'll start by saying I watch the show, every week, or I used to as laughing at dumb people is a fun passtime. However one disturbing thing I've noticed recently is a large uptick in Caleb Hammer super fans that unironically believe Caleb Hammer is some kind of finanacial genius.

These people have convinced themselves Caleb Hammer is a savant of the finance world because he drops nuclear knowledge bombs such as "don't spend more than you make" and "don't carry a credit card balance" and "don't take out 25% interest car loans."

My issue with this isn't that what he's saying is wrong, it's that it's the most basic of the basic finanacial literacy and he's used it to launch an entire merch business, budgeting apps, and has now been veering into politics. I've noticed a lot of Caleb Hammer super fans are run of the mill low IQ "BOTH SIDERIST" fence sitters (read: right-wingers pretending they're above it all.)

Caleb Hammer himself is clearly one of these people larping as a centrist that just so happends to hold almost exclusively right-wing or right of center neoliberal views. His producers are now also clearly setting him up with easy wins aginst the absolute dumbest leftists to ever exist:

https://youtu.be/XT02_pqmbeM?is=yUhDyFId8s44SrM1 Here we see a very poorly educated far-left "queer" named doomsday have very strong opinions on things she clearly has not a basic understanding of, naturally she gets ripped apart and the comment section is full of people that also do not know what they are talking about applying the least generous understanding of her arguments possible.

At one point she compares fascism to capitalism, which is reductionist, and Caleb rips into her reading off some very dubious definitions of fascism. Fascism isn't inherently capitalism, but it has a very different relationship to capitalism than socialism does, as capitalists were and are perfectly willing to work within the fascist framework in the name of profits or being left alone. Capitalist leaders were fully on board with nazism right up until nazi ideology increasingly conflicted with capitalist goals, and capitalists went along with nazism explictly to take down socialism. Indeed, fascism was an unholy alliance of capitalists and other sects of German society. Richard evens sums this up in the 3rd reich trilogy:

> The conservatives who levered Hitler into power shared a good deal of this vision. They really did look back with nostalgia to the past, and yearn for the restoration of the Hohenzollern monarchy and the Bismarckian Reich. But these were to be restored in a form purged of what they saw as the unwise concessions that had been made to democracy. In their vision of the future, everyone was to know their place, and the working classes especially were to be kept where they belonged, out of the political decision-making process altogether. But this vision cannot really be seen as pre-industrial or pre-modern, either. It was shared in large measure, for one thing, by many of the big industrialists who did so much to undermine Weimar democracy, and by many modern, technocratic military officers whose ambition was to launch a modern war with the kind of advanced military equipment that the Treaty of Versailles forbade them to deploy. Like other people at other times and in other places, the conservatives, as much as Hitler, manipulated and rearranged the past to suit their own present purposes. They cannot be reduced to expressions of 'pre-industrial' social groups. Many of them, from capitalist Junker landlords looking for new markets, to small retailers and white-collar workers whose means of support had not even existed before industrialization, were as much modern as they were traditional.123 It was these congruities in vision that persuaded men like Papen, Schleicher and Hindenburg that it would be worth legitimizing their rule by co-opting the mass movement of the Nazi Party into a coalition government whose aim was to erect an authoritarian state on the ruins of the Weimar Republic.

of course Caleb then mocks the woman for being unable to define fascism, an ideology better defined and viewed as a national mood with fluid ideology (whatever needs to be true, is true) while reading off layman google definitions without context, surprise, he can't define the term either.

The comment section of course eats this up, as they're also politically illterate fart sniffing "le both sides" midwits.

Caleb at other points, in true fake fence sitter fashion, is desperate to constantly declare himself a centrist that "dislikes both the right and left" while always applying the most generous reading of right-wing bullshit and the least generous reading of left-wing bullshit. It becomes very obvious Caleb is less interested in finances these days and more interested in laying the groundwork to being some type of political finanacial podcaster, while knowing very little about either topic outside of trite le centrist "I'm so smart and above it all, both the right and left are bad" drivel and "buy less fast food."

Who is he trying to convince, really, himself or the audience? Are we in heck? is the new norm low information podcasters building large audiences of low information dumbasses discussing political concepts in the most reductionist way possible? Engaging in the most simple content possible that somehow has a very sonorous ring to the midwit median voter? if that's the case, how do we ever fix anything?

Sure, you saw it on your heavily contrived “show” and now you have your AI slop right wing dog whistle channel talk about it 🙄

Caleb Hammer’s Abandoned Weight-Loss Journey Is About Hypocrisy.

I want to be very clear: this is not about mocking Caleb’s body. Nobody owes the internet a specific weight, body type, or appearance.

The issue is accountability.

Caleb has built his entire brand around discipline, personal responsibility, and calling people out when they don’t follow through on the things they say they want. He has no problem being extremely blunt with guests about their habits, choices, excuses, and even their overall presentation. So I think it is fair to ask why that same standard does not seem to apply to him.

Years ago, he publicly talked about wanting to lose weight and improve that part of his life. From what viewers can see, that goal seems to have been abandoned. And that is especially noticeable because this is someone who regularly lectures other people about discipline and taking action.

I also remember there being a point where he talked about a girlfriend helping him with the weight-loss journey, or at least being involved in that process somehow. I don’t know what happened there, and I’m not trying to speculate about his relationships. But it does add to the bigger point: this was not some private thing people randomly invented. He made it part of his public self-improvement narrative, and then it seemingly disappeared.

During his older livestream era, he would sit on stream for hours at a time, sometimes with his dogs just in the background, while talking, reacting, and being online for long stretches. Again, that alone is not a crime. But when your brand is telling other people to stop wasting time, stop making excuses, and take control of their lives, people are going to notice how you spend your own time too.

This is not body-shaming. This is about the accountability gap.

If Caleb can hold guests to harsh standards about their discipline and life choices, then viewers are allowed to question why his own publicly stated weight-loss goal became a “not for me” abandoned journey. The issue is not his weight. The issue is the hypocrisy of selling accountability while not appearing to model it himself.

This was not a good look after threatening to assault the guest

To be fair, the guest was one of the biggest assholes I’ve ever seen but cowering away from him after threatening to assault him and then throwing some gamer powder over him is so lame lmao.

Consent

A long list of things I’ve grown to detest about this man and his channel but one of the more egregious and harmful things he says is “well too bad you consented to this so deal with it” whenever someone starts to push back on his prying or insults.

CONSENT CAN BE REVOKED AT ANY TIME.

Not only does Caleb platform racists, spew fatphobia, homophobia, transphobia, and misogynistic hate, but be also promotes grape culture with comments like that. Can’t wait to watch his “empire” crumble.

Wow 😮

IAmCCSuarez did a review of Caleb on YT. This comment stopped me in my tracks. When I didn’t think the team could get any lower.

A Few Serious Questions

I used to like the channel, but lately it got too over the top and Im honestly just over it. I stopped watching it because I honestly decided I needed to do some serious self reflection and I’m trying to get out of the trap of watching things where I can look down on people to feel better about myself. Keep in mind I do this as someone who has zero debt other than a mortgage. I think this is a negative psychological aspect of our society that social media loves to cash grab on.

There’s a few times where he’s justified bullying who he brings on because he says his therapist thinks it’s good for people. (Not a quote that I can remember more like a summary or generalization) I don’t know about y’all but dr phill aged like sour milk after WinGate and all the other places turned out to be horrible. I don’t really feel like going back and looking for a whole gotcha moment and I understand calling people out. However, they know and understand that some of the people they have on have mental health issues. What happens if decides they can’t take it and something bad happens to them? I might just be extra sensitive to this because I know more than one person that decided to end it. And sure these aren’t exactly upstanding people but the ones in my life were.

I strongly believe that either people decide to change or they don’t. There’s no amount of bullying that truly has that kind of cause and effect. It might get people to go through the motions maybe but not necessarily believe it.

Not everyone can take things because they say they can. Debt doesnt really matter when you’re dead.

I would still like to hope Im wrong but I’ve seen some pretty messed up shit in my own that has me questioning this.

What do y’all think? Once again not really looking for a gotcha just looking at some patterns of this channel and how I’ve been viewing the world as I get older. Better than a lot of other debt management places probably but possibly bad in other ways. I’d really like a true study of how many of these people actually got out of it. Especially in the beginning vs now.

Is Caleb roid raging?

Why is he yelling SO loud constantly. Like his responses make no sense to the things the guests say. It’s just uncomfortable. In the old videos, he might raise his voice but now it reminds me of Shrek yelling at the villagers to scare them.

Conservative Bait

I refuse to even bother watching, but someone should ask why he chose the "Gen Z Boss and a Mini" meme video to attach to this. That video has become pure rage bait in conservative circles, made to specifically drive culture war hate (which is something Caleb say he wants to stay out of).

Drag queen is addicted to buying gay OF subscriptions | Hammer

Was this a guest appearance? Is there any way to watch this without paying the €13/month subscription, or are there any clips of it online?

Why is Caleb slowly revealing more and more racism?

The guests from just these past two weeks alone have shown so much racism against black people. This whole Carnival Cruise bit that has been carrying across several episodes is highlighting that sneaky suspicion I’ve had about Caleb all along. He likes to pretend he’s neutral but isn’t quite thorough enough.

One guest literally said “We don’t need to be around those blackies”… and Caleb laughed and barely scolded them. HUGE red flag because he’s scolded guests far worse for far less.

It’s getting weird!

Buying vs renting

Hi guys, I’m not a Caleb Stan or anything, I feel indifferent about him. But a lot of the YouTubers I watch have covered his Joe Rogan episode, where he talked about how renting + market investment beats owning a home (investment wise).

I understand he owns a home and is saying other should do the opposite, but owning a home for him is a lot more inexpensive than your average Joe. Because he has enough money to avoid interest payments.

I did the research, a single family home that is being rented out for 3,500 a month is worth 900,000.

With a 20% down payment of 180,000, the cost to purchase this house with mortgage, property tax, insurance, ect. Comes out to about 5,500 a month.

Thats, about a 2,000 dollar difference.

If you take that 2k a month and invest it in the markets it will return about 8% - 9% a year, over 30 years, that becomes around 3.2 -4 million dollars.

If you were to purchase the house with a mortgage, you would see a home equity value of around, 2.1-2.9. For the cost of 1.7 million, once the loan is finished.

I personally would love for everyone to own homes, but the numbers do check out. (In the current market)

Anyone else remember this?

Before the whole D’Angelo thing, when Caleb was on his failed livestream kick where he was going live everyday with like 40 total views or something insanely pathetic, Caleb said some weird things during those lives.

Of course, he completely scrubbed the channel including all clips and I had no interest in preserving that, so I’m wondering if anyone else had seen clips and/or remember some of the talking points.

I remember Caleb talking ALOT about how creators should be able to sue anyone who talks bad about them online or accuses them of things. I also remember him talking extensively about how 18/19/20 year old women infantilize themselves nowadays and everyone treats these (18, 19, 20 year old) women as if they’re such young people…

Again, I do not have clips for these. So, if anyone does happen to either have clips or remember these, I’d greatly appreciate it. I’d also love to know your thoughts on Caleb’s failed livestream gig. I believe he was doing this in late December/early January of this year. If I recall correctly, he had been on a livestream all day when D’Angelo made his first stream, and kept his employees in the office to stream ANOTHER FOUR HOURS just to react to D’Angelos claims… wild
