Was there some kind of special yesterday?

My bro and I stopped by the Cumbies in Bridgewater (or it might have been West Bridgewater, it's the one that's close to Crystal's Kitchen) yesterday (July 2nd 2026, a thursday) and got two Xtra large drinks. We approached the counter and they just said "Just the drinks? You're all set."

We just said alright and left without paying. Now we didn't show them any card so it's not like we got rewards or anything like that. Out of curiosity, I looked up if they were running a free drink special or something but found nothing. So now I'm scratching my head wondering what that was all about.

Silly question

Went to cumbys today for some monster, and was paying with my smart pay app. Why do I have to put my phone number in too? The lady wouldn’t explain further than “put your number in”. If I’m using their app, I should be getting the points? And if it’s a new “they have to hit a metric” of using rewards or whatever, I’m literally still paying with the app?

Yes I tried googling, but apparently I lack the magic string of words to find what I am looking for.

Weird way to do it and not friendly to really anyone but corporate LOL but hey it is what it is. Points and payment separate is weird but 🤷🏼‍♀️

anyone else upset about discontinued ice cream?

my local cumberland farms occasionally goes through periods of slow deliveries and thats understandable.. for a few weeks the pint freezer was lacking significantly and had maybe 5 flavors at any time- eventually my friend asked about it and they said many of them were discontinued!! they still have the mint i enjoy but besides the general stewarts ice creams cumberland farms had the best raspberry ice cream i’ve ever had!

it feels so hard to find a raspberry ice cream with raspberry swirl that isn’t just a vanilla/white chocolate base with raspberry jam swirl- anyone have recommendations of other brands with something similar? i’m sure theres not much i could do about the discontinuation of cumberland farms as obviously there weren’t enough people buying and they were probably just losing money on it… so long for now rapturous raspberry burst!
