COEP CSE vs CUMMINS CSE vs PICT CSE
Im getting the above colleges thru ciwgc quota…
Hey everyone! I got Cummins IT.
Hi hi so I am super obsessed with tech related stuff so naturally CE/IT were my top preferences in CET Counseling and I got Cummins IT in round 1 and 2. I just wanted an idea about the difference between IT and CE branches if there are any major differences? How are the placements and job opportunities like? Any seniors who could guide me would be very much appreciated! Also please lmk if any whatsapp group or gc for the freshers has been created yet, would love to interact with all of you :)

Looking to host part in kharadi
Hey everyone! I’m a 21M from Pune, and I’m planning to host a house party this weekend in Kharadi. Looking to meet some new people, have good conversations, and enjoy a fun evening.
Everyone 18+ and under 25 is welcome. It’ll be a clean, chill party there’ll be booze but nothing NSFW. Just looking to hang out with good people and make some new friend
It’ll be BYOB, and we can split the cost of mixers and food or decide together once everyone’s in.
If you’re interested, send me a DM with a little about yourself. Looking forward to meeting some awesome people!

Sad reality of on campus placements
I am writing this with a very heavy heart....
Our oncampus placements have begun and in online assessments ppl who got literally 2 marks in practice tests (offline) are also selected it's very unfair fir students wh genuinely do hardwork I could. See th same related names for shortlist for interview those cheaters.. we are not even getting any chance to atleast go till the interview stage I don't know what tool they are using to do such a high level of cheating bcoz even i complete all testscases but was not selected .....I think all oas should be offline atleast it would be fair and fair ppl will be given chance now that such students are gettings selected it breaks my heart
Cummins ENTc W or L?
Got it in tfws quota and I am Pune resident too
The new placement eligibility rules are honestly so unfair. 15 companies only + HackerRank scores??

So this is what we're apparently going to deal with for placements now. Honestly, don't you guys think this is extremely unfair?
The 15-company limit itself makes absolutely no sense to me. Out of all the companies visiting campus, we're basically being told that we can only appear for 15 companies and those 15 include the companies we register for as well.
And if this is the system the college wants to follow, why wasn't this clearly communicated before we took admission?
Why make such a major change when we're already in our final year and placement season is literally starting? We chose the college and planned our careers based on the policies and opportunities that existed when we took admission. You can't just introduce restrictions at the very end and expect students to simply accept them.
Honestly, at this point, I feel like I got scammed. 😭
Then there's the whole HackerRank eligibility criteria.
The OAs are conducted in college, and let's be honest, the system isn't exactly fair there either. Some people manage to cheat or find ways around the test, while those of us who actually give the OA honestly and don't want to risk getting caught are obviously at a disadvantage.
If someone genuinely gets a lower score despite honestly attempting the test, why should that decide whether they're eligible for a particular CTC range?
And now there's another issue.
A lot of students who have secured 4/5/6-month internships outside Pune, especially in places like Bangalore, can potentially give the assessment from there, while someone else who's internship is in pune has to physically come to college and give it under supervision. And considering how difficult it already is to maintain a level playing field during OAs, this just feels even more unfair.
And the biggest question for me is:
What is the point of studying at Cummins and having companies offering 10–15+ LPA if my HackerRank score decides that I'm only eligible for companies in the 7–8 LPA range?
I'm not saying there shouldn't be any eligibility criteria. Obviously companies need some filtering. But making HackerRank scores + a 15-company restriction decide such a huge part of someone's placement opportunities feels ridiculous.
And the worst part is that we're finding out about these things now, when we're already in the final year. If these were going to be the placement rules, they should have been clearly mentioned before admission, so students could make an informed decision about where they wanted to study.
Maybe I'm missing something here, so I'd genuinely like to know what others think.
Because honestly, final year mein rules change karke students ke options restrict karna doesn't feel fair at all.

Does tnp head and college approve NOC for 2nd year internship during summer break, just after 2nd year
89 percentile in MHT CET – Which colleges should I target in spot rounds?
Hi everyone!
I scored 89 percentile in MHT CET 2026. I'm trying to figure out which colleges I should realistically aim for during the spot rounds.
I'm okay with any colleges within Pune
