Curb dog

A friend reminded me that I find the best things on the curb. I forgot my Big Girl was technically on the curb.

She was an expensive free dog. Spent around $500 in spraying and shots, but I'd do it again.

It's about to be her second Found ya Day. 🥰

Candles. First pic are all brand new.

Went for some storage wracks but they were gone. Still happy with my finds. Going to donate the hand sanitizers to a local charity

I moved to Germany a week ago and found this on the curb.

I almost walked past it until I noticed it had its original carrying case. Brought it home, opened it up, and found the instruction manual still inside.

It's a Robotron portable typewriter with a German QWERTZ layout. It even still has the ribbon installed. The typing is faint, so it probably just needs a new ribbon, but everything seems to move smoothly.

As someone who just moved here, I've been amazed by Germany's curbside culture. So far I've found shelves, a coffee table, kitchen utensils, a hand mixer, an egg cooker... and now this. This one is definitely my favorite.

I can't believe someone just put it on the sidewalk.

My first ever Curb Find last Thursday. Honda Generator.

Scored my first ever curb find taking the longer slower route back to the office last Thursday. A Honda 3000w generator.

Had it up and running in 45 minutes after I got home that day. Engine was found to not start after just putting fuel in the tank. Checked for spark and found none. Pulled the cover and found a very obvious ground wire not attached to anything within the case. Looked up the wire diagram online and found that the ground wire was supposed to be attached to the bellhousing. Made my connection at the bellhousing and it fired up on the first pull and it even produced power 👍.

Let it run a few hours under various loads in eco/non eco mode without any faults & cant find anything wrong with it, voltage output also stays consistent.

Since last Thursday Ive got about $65 into it and it's as good as new.

Only needed to replace a faulty fuel shut off valve and maintenance replaced the oil, spark plug, pull cord, air filter & cleaned the spark arrestor.

Carb was clean (not one bit of evidence of running ethanol fuel in its life), drained oil looked good, crankcase is clean viewing from the fill hole, valve lash was within spec, no oil leaks, engine sounds good, doesn't smoke... cant figure out why someone opened it up and left a wire disconnected. Overall I believe this thing has been maintained very well in its life.

Since I've done my basic repairs I've also cleaned it up inside and out (ive got a little bit of OCD). It's fully ready for usable service now.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY U.S.A. and happy curbfind for me.

Found this 60" Sharp flat panel in the bin on top of a box for a TLC 70" set. Plugged it in and it works just fine not to mention it's already equipped with the latches to attach it to the wall braces holding up the current set it will replace. Yeah! Also noted a 10 x 13 area rug as well as three panel wooden screen finished shabby-chic.

Found on the curb this morning. The gentleman who put it out even helped me load it in my car.
