Why is curve still around???

Hey, so why are people still using curve? Their support is utter horse shit, they will just say "we can't verify you" with some automatic reply saying they cant verify with my ID provided, they even closed my account down without any sort of confirmation they should of provided and all I got from them was "curve protect - account blocked for your security, an agent will be in touch soon" a year ago, but never even got an email, BUT they would happily close my account down without any sort of communication with me, which By law they should of told me

I don't care about my existing account, I just want to know if they closed my account down, but trying to get a hold of curve feels like I'm talking to brick wall

Id rather happily take my business elsewhere, because I'm done using a service that is so bad that they should of got closed down (maybe Lloyds will phase out the curve branding soon)

I'm going to take it to the financial ombudsman further and complain there

Rewards

Hi all,

I’ve been a Curve Pro+ user for several years and have always liked the Rewards feature and ability to build up my Curve Cash that way.

Over the last few months, I’ve noticed that they have removed most of the offers on here and haven’t been introducing anything new, so I’m now down to a handful of merchants where I can get additional Rewards (alongside the list of those that are always active).

Does anyone know if this is a deliberate move by Curve and whether they plan to increase their offering on this again?

Screenshot attached was taken today (Aug. ‘26) for context.

Thanks in advance.

Since when are non-EU/EEA cards blocked from EU-product?

I remember the time when we could use ANY card, including personal US credit cards, business US credit cards, pre-paid cards, and whatnot. The the commission for using credit cards was introduced, ok fine.

Now I'm trying to add my card that presents itself as a Visa credit with a Hong Kong BIN and I'm getting a refusal. Any ideas as to why? It works perfectly with Google Pay and Apple Pay.

Curve Card blocked for 6 days

Hi,
I've been dealing with a blocked Curve Card since 7/08. Support "escalated" my chat to the "relevant team" on 8/08, after a follow-up on 10/08, they just confirmed it's still under review.
It's been 6 days with no real information or timeline, which is making it tough to manage my transactions.
How long does this usually take for them to resolve?

Constant declines, ghost auths, and awful support over the last 3 weeks. Any alternatives?

Good day. I’ve been a Curve user for years (living in Hungary), I started using it back when OTP here didn't even support Google Wallet. I really grew to love the aggregator card function, and over the years I've barely had any issues with them. But for the past 3 weeks, I'm hitting constant declines at places where I've never had a problem before, or I get multiple holds on my card.

In good cases, the money comes back eventually, of course very slowly – because even if it shows up in Curve, it takes another four days from there. But in worse cases, I have to open a ticket, prove that it was declined, they barely accept it after a struggle, and the waiting starts all over again. My favorite terminal error message is "Unknown error."

To top it all off, it takes them at least 5 days to reply to a ticket if not more, and weekends don't exist for them.

I would love to keep using an aggregator card, but as far as I know, only Curve has this feature. Does anyone have any ideas for an alternative, and what the hell is wrong with this company?

Does Curve not want customers?

Last weekend, I tried making an account on the Curve Pay app, went through the process of entering all my personal information and got the KYC screen. I didn't have a form of ID available at the time so I closed the app until a few hours later when I was able to provide it.

When reopening the app, I was met by a screen saying "We couldn't verify you" and was told to contact the support team. When doing that I was immediately met with an automated response saying "After reviewing your application, we were unable to verify your identity based on the information provided. As a result, we are unable to proceed with your application at this time. For security reasons, we are unable to share further details regarding this decision.", so I figured getting in contact this way would be of no help.

Then I tried getting in contact via their complaints email where they then asked for my account details, only to get a reply back with a similar message I got earlier saying "After reviewing your application, we were unable to verify your identity based on the information provided. As a result, we are unable to proceed with your application at this time. For security reasons, we are unable to share further details regarding this decision."

By this point I was confused, I don't know if they're not willing to help because they don't have my ID? because I can't give my ID, the app locked me out before I got to that point. It could also be because I provided an addy.io alias email? I can't send emails from this address so I had to send the email from my Gmail. I also just noticed I forgot to provide my house number, only the postal code, but they didn't even following up asking for it, they just shut me out.

I don't know what's going on but looking at reviews of Curve and posts on this subreddit, this kind of behaviour is far from an isolated incident. It makes me wonder how many customers they'd have if users weren't shut out from using their services for no reason.

I could try sending them another email but if they're not willing to allow me to complete sign up, I at least want my account deleted considering they have personal data now with nothing in return, and if they fail to do this, I will have no choice but to file a GDPR complaint.

Unable to show shops the bank card that matches the last four digits on the receipt for refunds

I'm in the UK. Today I went to take something I previously bought back to a shop to return it. They asked me to show them the Bank Card that matches the last four digits on the receipt, I think this is so that they can know for sure I am the correct card holder (i don't really know what they ask this for). Anyway, the trouble I've got is that I paid with my Astari ring, which is linked to my Chase current account bank card via the Curve app, and the trouble is my Chase card does not end in those 4 digits printed on the receipt. The receipt shows 1234 whereas my Chase bank card ends in 5678.

Why is the card I paid with not showing the correct last 4 digits on the paper receipt handed to me? I've checked other receipts from other shops and it's the same story. My actual card ends in 5678 whereas all my receipts state the last 4 digits as 1234. Why?

As a result, I wasn't able to present the card that matched the last 4 digits on the receipt, and told them I would have to go away and look into it (a little embarrassing). What do I do?

My curve card's long card number also does not end in those last 4 digits. I don't know why this particular shop (H&M) are making such a fuss about this. I went to another shop yesterday (Next) and they did not ask me any questions, instead they just told me to tap my Astari ring on the card reader and the refund was processed no problem.

Curve card added to someone else’s Apple Wallet without my consent

I’m posting this as a warning and also because I’m honestly shocked by how this has been handled so far.

I have a Curve card on the highest tier, and yesterday I received a notification saying that my card had been added to someone else’s Apple account. Shortly after that, four payments of £25 each were made without my authorisation.

After blocking the card, I called Apple immediately. They blocked the card on their side, and during the call they confirmed that the issue appears to be on Curve’s side. From what I understand, a third party was somehow able to add my card to their Apple Wallet without me receiving any notification or verification prompt.

I’m very security-conscious and I’m confident I haven’t done anything careless on my side, so at this point I strongly suspect the leak or failure happened with Curve. Once this is resolved, I’ll be cancelling my Curve card, because I simply don’t trust it anymore.

What makes this even worse is the response from customer support. I reported this 24 hours ago and have still had no reply from Curve, even though I would expect something like this to be treated as extremely urgent. By comparison, Apple handled it properly: I reported it, they offered a callback, and they called me back within a few hours.

Edit: in fairness, they have just replied saying that they have already reimbursed the fraudulent charges and that they are investigating to see what happenee. It took about one working day, so not too bad.

Curve card blocked without notice

On August 7th I have received automated email from Tapster that curve card attached to their wearable got suspended, I open apple wallet and I see that curve card is no longer available. I have tried to remove it and it’s now impossible to add it back.
Opening Curve app I don’t see anything suspicious nor any advice stating that my card has been blocked.
I also have 100£ on curve cash so I would be really angry if I can’t get them back (by the way I have pro plan, paying 10€ each month).
I have opened ticket via chat and they escalated it very fast to email team, but obviously still no answer from them.
Already filed official complaint since it was my main payment method for holidays.
I guess it’s time to change card provider
