treatment trials

I’ve had ongoing vulvar and vaginal burning, redness, rawness, tingling, and occasional itching after a UTI and antibiotics. Yeast, BV, trich, M. genitalium, and Ureaplasma testing were negative, but my provider saw an overgrowth of Lactobacillus on wet mount and diagnosed suspected cytolytic vaginosis. She recommended stopping vaginal probiotics and doing baking-soda sitz baths three times the first week. I did my first bath last night using 4 tablespoons of baking soda in a shallow warm bath for 20 minutes, but I woke up noticeably more red externally this morning. Has anyone else experienced temporary worsening or increased redness after a baking-soda bath, and did it eventually improve? I also tried a little bit of pre-seed last night along with the baking soda and woke up with more discharge. The previous night I used just pre-seed and felt like that helped with burning/itching and I didn't wake up with as much redness, so I might just stick with the pre-seed? Any thoughts about the pre-seed/baking soda redness and how you guys were able to get the redness/inflammation down and timeline to notice a difference. I am trrying to keep my head up but this has made me depressed!!

Post Ureaplasma CV?

Hi all, I recently “cured” ureaplasma after two weeks of doxy in May (both partner and I retested 4 weeks later and were negative). Symptoms were watery yellow discharge and pelvic pain (felt very inflamed). Symptoms mostly went away except for minimal discharge.. however started coming back over the next month and I had full pelvic pain and abnormal discharge again. My partner and I both re-tested for ureaplasma and are still negative. I started doxy again before getting test results back, thinking it was for sure ureaplasma, and it relieved the pelvic pain but not the discharge. I’ve tested negative for every other infection under the sun... BV, STDs etc. Could it be CV? The pelvic pain is the only thing that makes me think it’s not, but maybe that’s residual from ureaplasma? it’s now gone again. I took an at home PH test and it was around 4.5 so that seems normal? My doc mentioned boric acid but I don’t want to take that if it’s the opposite issue.. too acidic. Is PH of 4.5 reason enough to try CV clear?

Vagina Crisis

Hi everyone! Plz plz plz help me. I have been going through the most traumatic vagina lore for the past three weeks. I went swimming with my bf in some weird water and then ended up getting a UTI 3 weeks ago. I went to Planned Parenthood and got prescribed 3 days of sulfa something antibiotic but then started to have some weird discharge (like little balls of toilet paper) and itching. Everyone thought it was a yeast infection but I've tested negative for this and BV and trich. I took 2 difulcan and I feel like it helped with itching but not the discharge and then itching came back. Then I went for my usual pap and ended up getting diagnosed with HPV, which is fine and everyone is telling me is unrelated to the current symptoms. I went back to Planned Parenthood due to my vulva becoming so red and irritated and having no answers. Everything looks normal except that I have an overgrowth of "good bacteria." I am currently waiting on a culture for different yeast strains and ureoplasms but I think I could have cycolytic vagonosis?? My PH was a 4.5 when then tested but I'm getting desperate at this point because everything is not working. I tried the baking soda bath and I think that made my vulva so irritated and itchy. Plz help I am so sad about this.

Tired battling this for 1 year.

Hello all,

Long story short,

29F

Last year i had a bad uti, a yeast infection and also ureaplasma parvum.

I took antibiotics for uti and ureaplasma and also yeast treatment.

After first yeast treatment I was good. I also took biolact ovules vaginally for ten days and I was good to go.

Then I got yeast again and took treatment for that. Never been the same since.

I tested for yeast and different strains via pcr multiple times and was negative.

I checked twice for ureaplasma weeks/months after and was negative.

Also checked via PCR all stds and also different kinds of bv negative again.

I tried vaginal and oral probiotics with no change.

Current symptoms are:

Itching at 4,5,6,7,8 o clock.

Redness on and off at 6 o clock.

I also see on 4,5 and 7,8 o clock small cracks. Not very deep. Like the ones you have when hands are dry (I'm not dry).

Disharge are semi normal. Sometimes thicker white and sometimes i see disharge that looks like wet paper tissue.

I don't know what to do.

I looked into cytolytic vaginosis or vaginal lactobacillosis. Doctors here have now clue. I found one immunologist that thinks is vaginal lactobacillosis and he gave me augmentin for 7 days and haven't tried that yet.

ANY ADVICE WOULD BE APPRECIATED!

Thank you.

*P.S. IF ANYONE HAS A SUGGESTION for a good gyno or vulva specialist around Europe that helps with more complex cases please let me know (we don't have that here). I'm so desperate and willing to travel....

How long for recovery with baking soda baths, pelvic floor therapy and deciding probiotic foods with CV?

I was just diagnosed with CV after several misdiagnosis for yeast infections for several months, as it sounds like a lot of you have as well. I started pelvic floor therapy because I definitely have pain during sex with my partner. How long has it taken any of you to recover from baking soda suppositories and pelvic floor therapy to feel pain free in the bedroom and in the vjj?

Constant Excessive Discharge

I know it can be normal for some women to produce large amounts of discharge. However this only started from having Chlamydia & Gonorrhoea. I always produced little to no discharge before getting infected.

I was treated for both and for the next whole year after treatment I kept getting tested to ensure I wasn't still positive. Every test was negative. I even then went on Doxycycline long term to manage my recently diagnosed Rosacea, so I know full well I didn't still have Chlamydia. It's been 2 years now and I'm still suffering day in day out with constant discharge. Mostly yellow with little to no smell. Sometimes smells like bread or vinegar and most recently - vape juice (i know super weird).

Anyway my GP referred me to a Gynaecologist who just said it's normal and referred me to another one because I'm not happy. It's ruining my life and confidence. I've had a camera in my womb and pelvic ultrasounds the lot and confirmed everything is normal.

Is there something the doctors are missing? I can't spend the rest of my entire life dealing with this!! 😭 I just want it to go back to the way it was 2 years ago before I got infected!

Blastocystis Hominis

Female/20 yrs old

I got my fecalysis/ stool test result back and it showed that I have Blastocystis hominis cyst: 0-2/hpf. Is this something I should worry about? Is it treatable? Should I consult a doctor immediately? Should I do another test? Would it result to overgrowth if left untreated? (Since most research says that it usually goes away on its own, or that you can live with it without any problems). Upon researching the symptoms, I might quite have some few, but unsure if these are actually an indication. I frequently farted at nightime just for that day. I get watery stool not lasting 2 days and happens 1-2 times a day. Constipation lasts 2-3 days max. Only happens occasionally tho. But most of the time I have normal bowel movement. No stomach pain. No nausea and vomiting. Most of the time I feel gassy and hear/ feel gurgling sounds. One time I continuously farted for the whole night and the next day gone. Then farting was again normal. No fatigue. And I currently feel fine. I can still tolerate foods that are high in carbs. Suggest what I should do.

CV / Chronic Itching Cured (Anecdotal)

Dealt with rawness, itching, contact bleeding, pasty yellow discharge, and battery acid / lemon peel taste for years. I quit vaping and a few months later it cleared. This is just my experience, not saying vaping def causes it but maybe worth a shot for those who do it. That shit was hell.
