Downtown Lunch and Breakfast!

Hello! I am visiting DC in september and i am trying to figure out a few really specific meal transitions in my itinerary- I have a block for lunch between fords theater and air and space museum- is there anywhere special to grab a quick bite there? I was thinking we'd pickup a sandwhich before fords and picnic it after. Also a romantic spot for drinks around the whitehouse area. I am looking for stuff that isn't crazy expensive since our big splurge meal will be Albi.

Some recommendations, if you please 🤲🏻😄

Hi everyone! I’m traveling to DC in September, and my 21st happens to fall during the trip! I’m looking for dining recs for good rooftop or outdoor options. So far I’ve gotten:
-Barca
-Salt Line
-Sequoia
Please be honest if these are overrated 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️

Best Steak Near Waldorf Astoria

I’m coming to Washington on my own in 2 weeks. I am staying at the Waldorf Astoria. What’s the best steak restaurant I could go to nearby? I like a great steak and love and old school steakhouse.

I’ve looked on Google but there are hundreds of very well reviewed restaurants and I’m hoping to get recommendations based on personal experience.

Polish Food?

Was wondering if anyone had any recs for good Polish food in dc or a Polish grocery store? Would kill for some homemade pierogis since I finished up my stash I make around Christmas time. Thanks!

El Rinconcito or El Tamarindo?

Going to be passing through D.C. for the first time on a road trip and stopping for sightseeing and dinner. I saw recommendations for both El Rinconcito and El Tamarindo in my search for Salvadoran restaurants - which is your go to? Haven't had much Salvadoran food but LOVE pupusas. Open to other recommendations as well - ideally looking for sit-down casual, convenient parking is a plus.

TIA!

List of restaurants with round tables?

It’s funny how reviews seldom mention whether the restaurant has round tables. Yet, for groups of 6 or larger, there is little more conducive for a good conversation than a round table. And nothing more annoying than being seated in the “wrong end” of a long table…

Is this normal in D.C

We went to a restaurant that’s highly rated. Don’t get me wrong the people were super nice, the ramen was overrated but honestly I’m spoiled from tonchin in nyc so maybe I’m just picky but anyways we ordered two of the same drink and this is how it came. Like to me at $10 a piece it’s a little nuts or AIO?

Looking for a good Korean BBQ place in DC! Ideally somewhere that takes single guests as well. I’m finishing up a life milestone soon and want to take myself out for a little celebration! :)

Best Glover Park gems

If you haven’t been to Dumplings and Beyond then you are missing out. The dumpling specials are delicious and affordable. The egg drop soup is so real and the hot saki is top shelf.

Craving matzoh ball soup

My go-to is Parkway Deli in Silver Spring, but it’s hard to get to from downtown.

Any recommendations for matzoh ball soup in the city proper or somewhere more metro accessible?

Quiet Anniversary Worthy Restaurants

Hi all! My boyfriend and I are celebrating our two year anniversary. He is deaf in one ear, so we are looking for quieter restaurants. I booked us at Izakaya Seki for this weekend, but it is not feeling maybe "fancy" enough. Any recommendations on where to snag a last minute reservation that has a quieter atmosphere? Thank you!

Hot New Dining Spots to Try for Summer Restaurant Week

RAMW’s Summer Restaurant Week is a couple weeks away—it runs from Monday, August 24 through Sunday, August 30—and now’s the time to make reservations for those $25-$35 lunches and brunches and $40 to $65 dinners.

This year, there’s a nice slate of newcomers (all open a year or less) taking part in the semi-annual promotion.

Brasero Atlantico, Rye Bunny, Uchi, are among our picks. Read our full list here.

Best Brussels in the city?

Hello Everyone,

I already made a post about tiramisu and got some great recs and thought I’d try it again with our other favorite thing! My GF and I just moved to NOMA and we are both big Brussel sprout fans. In your opinion, who has the best Brussels in the city/DMV area? Thanks in advance!
