What a super fun build. Was definitely getting a bit tired of it by the 10th SoS but the rest was super fun and the whole thing wasn’t too hard. Was my first time building with glue/cement and not snap together pieces, learned a ton in the process.
Have to admit I blushed a couple times too while working out the finer connections on their pelvic and sternum areas 😳
Heya, I just ordered the scathenborn coven box and am excited to get them painted. One thing I like doing with my army is having a variety of skin tones but looking up desaturated/pale skin I find a lot of white/grey skin tones. I was wondering if anyone had good tips on having a variety of pale and desaturated skin tones.
I was thinking with normal recipes possibly just adding in some pale green and white to tone down the vibrancy or basing in purple but I'm not sure if that's going to work. I'd appreciate any advice, recipes or Inspo pics!

I am in the hobby just for the lore and painting minis, for the process itself, as I find it very relaxing, despite not being that good at it 😅 I don't play, nor care about the rules or read them. I am building some Daughters of Khaine and for long time I was looking at Morathi and tempted to get her, but I am interested basically just in the elven form, as I am not really a fan of the huge snake and probably wouldn't even have space for her.
Could anyone explain to me how does it work with this model? Are both necessary for game? Or is there a chance to buy just the elf from second hand? I did check eBay, but there are mostly painted models or both together. Or on the contrary, if I would buy new kit for it and tried to sell the big snake, is there even chance someone could get it from me or is the model itself unusable without the other form of her?
I just ordered my first DoK spearhead and I want my aelves to be tattooed. Are there any transfer sheets out techniques that could work to put some tattoos on beyond just freehand?
My skill level probably can barely do eyes if I focus hard but I have preferred not to so far. But tattoos are impotent to me personally. Obviously the tattoos can be pretty basic but I want it to be clearly not just war paint.
Any examples would be much appreciated!!!
Also, what would be the best way to also incorporate scars?

Old Vanguard/Spearhead: $130
New Spearhead:$130
Khainite Slaughter Coven: $200
Morathi's Battleforce: $190
Start Collecting (the one with the 5 snake ladies): $120
Kinda leaning towards the Start Collecting simply cause it's both cheap, has the least amount of models to paint so I know I can paint it quicker but I feel like it's also the worse value amongst the 5, but what are y'all's thoughts? I currently only have enough to purchase one of these boxes.
Hello folks.
So I am a little confused about a minor detail regarding the new Spearhead. In their warscrolls, the three leaders have Priest and Wizard keywords respectively, but I can see nothing that would give them the option to use prayers or spells.
Am I to infer from this, that those keywords only exist to make them vulnerable to various anti-wizard and anti-priest units in Spearhead? Or is there some rule somewhere I have missed.
I'm thinking pinks and purples but also love the idea of Kyoshi warrior inspired Daughters with some face paint

I am currently kitbashing some Witch Aelfs into Drukhari Wyches.
I was wondering how I could effectivly get a smooth and shaded skin? Anyone has a good airbrush workflow? Goal is a very pale look, but not undead.
I was considering:
-> white priming the head and hair, not attaching it to the body (or maybe using blu tac)
-> black priming the body, or better a grey?
-> Tamiya flat white for a zenithal, rather stgrong
-> maybe a light violett from below?
-> pallid wych flesh via the airbrush over the models
-> shading carefully with druchi violett
-> eyes and mouth with peynes grey oil wash
Would this work? Any better ideas?
Hopefully, my girlfriend was expecting "more" xD
And how would you suggest I DoK it up?
Thinking a spare cauldron or shrine up top maybe.
