THE Chuckie's lechon manok

THE Chuckie's lechon manok

Our go-to lechon manok sa dakbayan! Winner gyud ang garlic flavor sa ilang lechon manok, its juicyyyy kanang giving bag-ong luto siya.

Last time I checked, the whole chicken is 270. They have other options sad sa ilang menu like the beef pares and lechon baka which is also good!

Their dine-in is until 2AM since duol siya sa mga call centers. This is located at Mabini St. (Front ni siya sa henny penny so pwede one stop ni nga area to also try their chicken sandwich)

La Fle e or Bondi&Bourke?

Hello po! I am not really familiar with the restos here in Davao so I’d just like to ask for inputs kung which sa dalawa ang better for a date night. Prior to reading posts in this subreddit, we were really set na sa La Fle e, but upon reading halo-halo na reviews—I am quite hesitant na to push through.

If you don’t mind helping po, can you give me inputs on which is better? For additional context, we are still college students but we worked hard to save enough to afford such date for our anniversary so I really want it to be worth it. Thank you in advance!!

Hidden gem for Indian food in Davao. Anyone here tried Rasoi in Doña Vicenta?

If you’re looking for authentic Indian food in Davao, I recently tried Rasoi Indian Cuisine on Surveyor St., Doña Vicenta.

Their food is prepared by an Indian chef and cooked fresh to order. They have both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes, so there’s something for everyone.

The prices are surprisingly affordable:

• Snacks start at ₱40 (the samosa and pani puri were really good!)

• Veg dishes start at ₱50

• Non-veg dishes start at ₱59

• Fried rice starts at ₱60

• Biryani ranges from ₱120–₱250

They also have combo meals. My favorite was the Cheese Naan + Butter Chicken combo for only ₱125. They also serve prawn curry, mutton (goat) curry, masala chai, and a lot of other Indian dishes.

I don’t usually see many authentic Indian restaurants in Davao at these prices, so I thought it was worth sharing. If you’ve been there, what’s your favorite dish?

Mcdo’s newest items!!

Someone posted here about the lava puff so I tried it out for myself and yes, pwede na! Lami sya. If you’ve tried Caitlyn’s choco buchi before, the choco filling almost tasted similar. The puff is kinda a little oily and messy to eat so better have a plate or paper towel.

The poptato is 👎🏽. If I were to personally rate potato products of Mcdonald’s PH, it will somehow go like this:

  1. Curly Fries
  2. Fries (both reg & mcshaker)
  3. Hashbrown
  4. Poptato

I’m not saying it’s bad. Di lang ko sure unsay ginapaglaban ani nga item. It’s really meh. But then again, it’s my personal opinion. I’d still reco for experience. Happy cheat day (for me)!!

FOODS IN DGT

I love DGT! I honestly love that they support local businesses almost all the food spots there are homegrown, and the food is lami gyud. Pang jogging ug pang picnic picnic or kanang tambay lng sa car (this is great for Davao!)

But genuine question… why is everything in DGT so expensive? 😅 Is it because of the location, rent, or operating costs? Curious to know Kay tanan man food didto medyo naay price

Dropping here review sa tanan food sa dgt

Naan stop- I tried their chicken biryani and butter chicken (pag butter chicken na lng hehe)

Cooolsips- LAMI and huge serving! Nibalik ang paglami nila tong dli na sila hype, go to Nashville (separate sauce) chopped chicken and chicken tenders! For my protein and cal. Honestly feel nako ang vloggers naka guba sailaha hahahaha

Potcor- Kani ang meh na potcor natilawan nako idk tungud daghan siguro order but fail kaayo ang potcor sa dgt mas lami ang fries sa cooolsips

Ice giants- honestly just order their iced desserts ayaw na lng ang food.

Kenny rogers- okay ra jud siya as usual let’s support this kay nawala biya ni sa Davao basig ma pareha sa subway ug bonchon

SOLLUNA- THISSSSS a non-pork resto for our Muslim brothers and sisters quite intimidating tried this recently with my friends graduation if u want great food romantic dinner or something worth splurging and rewarding! Kani lami kaayo ang truffle potato gnocchi! Madungog nako chef tanan halos naa sa kitchen open kitchen sila btw murag 4 ka chef naa grabe mao siguro sad mahal pero worth it! Big serving as well mga Shala ang Tao naga kaon

Little mama’s- lamiiiiii ang ilang pastries pero expensive kaayo ilang croissants (190-260) go to if gusto ka mag chika chika. pass lng sailang mga rice meals expensive small serving and meh.

Nonki- great Japanese resto but I prefer the Torres branch. Dako unta and aesthetic pero hastang hugawa and they served us frozen salmon🥲

Zander’s- haven’t tried

SMASHD- MY GO TO BURGER! Lami way Atik for me quite expensive but worth it! big serving and naa sad fries daan mas bet nako ang OG smash and lettuce wrapped for my protein and cal, unique ang Flying Dutchman pero pang 1 try lng siya for me. Pair it with the bundaberg lemon para ma cut sa grease Kay greasy jud basta smash ang patties (I believe 80% meat 20% fat) ang tama na smash burgers. Feel nako ang vloggers sad naka guba sailaha tong hype sila.

Hola- haven’t tried

Cravings- meeeeh desserts na lng and ice cream unta mas lami pa ang soft serve sa jbee and mcdo

Mille matcha- lamiii kaayo ilang house blend matcha But gi change nila daw. Their hojicha sad it’s really good

Sora- super pretty and aesthetic okay ilang mga kakigori for one time but never again and I prefer Mille matcha than sora’s hehe for me lng

Sips&bowls- honestly wala ko kasabot sailang menu, Makalibog murag naa silly identity crisis, pero lami ang taho and caldereta for me. Dugay sad kaayo ang serving and medj maldita ang owner mag tutokay mo

Hey chicken- bye and meh sailang chicken lami pa ang naths and henny penny pero if mag splurge mo mag DND munchies na lng mo

Mao rato nahimo na siya rating sa food sa DGT pero ngano jud expensive

Miggy’s Siomai FTW

Personally, one of the few best siomai places in Wadab!! Bonus points pud ilang chili oil. Makamiss tong silingan ra mi diri sa Marfori kay mabaktas ra nako and lesser expense compared karon na need na sya i-grab. And if you haven’t already, it’s worth the try!! 🥟🥢

Dulce Vida Azuela

Tried dining in here. They have raised their prices but I still find Tiny Kitchen to be way more pricey in comparison. The food is reheated but I found the Vino Rojo (Chicken in Tomato sauce) to be good. You can't eat their cakes by slice anymore but finally got to try their Square Indulgence, a very rich condensed milk chocolate layered ice cream cake.

My pic of the menu is not great but hope you'll be able to read it!

Underrated Pizza Restaurants in Davao

Hello! Looking for recommendations of underrated Pizza restaurants.

I have already tried the popular ones like Lara Mia, Il Giardino di Luciano, Italianni's, Fabian's among others.

Wanted to know what are the other places that aren't as popular but probably yummier!

Places in Davao with good Pho?

Hello, I recently tried pho when I was in Manila and I got hooked right away. Lowkey naga crave na ako for its taste and acidity haha. Meron ba places dito sa Davao that can serve good Pho? Yung tried and tested na po please 🥹 Okay lang kahit di ganun ka authentic, or at least close to authentic. Thank you so much!

Taga North ako so sana at least sa downtown lang.

(Pic for attention) ♡
