Dear Survivors

I am on official server. Night time changed to very bright night just like a cloudy day.

Last year nights were pich black.

Has anyone experienced the same ?

I just though wouldn’t it be cool if there was a command or pose or whatever that you could walk around like a zombie or stand. you can mess around with ppl would be so much fun tbh

Ps: if someone from bohemia reading this (lol) please fix that godmode bug please please its ruining the game

I want to start playing this game with a keyboard and mouse, it’s obvious the game was designed around that hardware. I play on ps5 with a controller, and I’ve decided that because of the lack of aim assist, and the awful state of menu navigation with a controller. It’s best if I just go through the growing pains of using a keyboard and mouse. Anyone recommend some moderately priced keyboard and mouse set ups? I’m ideally looking for a usb mouse and keyboard. And I’d prefer the mouse had 3-4 side buttons. I’d use a one handed keyboard to save room on my desk, however I’m not sure it would work with dayz, having less buttons could be detrimental in this game specifically.

My friends keep telling me that ghillie suits on console don't protect you from being seen due to render distance past around 500m and that the grass/foliage/trees etc dont load in properly from a good enough distance to make them versatile. This true? Not really fought any ghillie at long range yet to know how it all works.

I found a running car once early on near the coast in my early days of playing dayz, having no context for how hard they are to find.

Ended up leaving it or losing it…. Barely remember.

Last night my wife and I stumbled on a nearly complete and pristine M1025.

We hid it and continued on our journey and promptly died to wolves.

This morning starting on the coast I found a new charged battery and ran all the way back to it with a Jerry can full of fuel.

Just need a glow plug now. I have one at a stash way south - but hoping to find another one without that trek.

DayZ can be saved, but not by waiting around for Bohemia to suddenly change course. For years we’ve watched exploits linger, hackers thrive on Xbox servers, and community feedback brushed aside. It’s not incompetence, it's deliberate neglect, a carrot dangled in front of us while profits are quietly collected.

there are about 70,000 DayZ servers worldwide. PC dominates with over 50,000, but consoles still host between 11,000 and 17,000 combined. Every single Xbox and PlayStation server runs through Nitrado, which earns roughly €4–6 million a year from console hosting. Bohemia takes a licensing cut of about €1.5–3 million. That’s the pipeline. That’s the pressure point.

If even 500–1,600 servers per platform shut down, that’s a 10–20% revenue loss. Push it further — 30–40% — and thousands of servers vanish, cutting millions from the flow. That kind of drop would force both Nitrado and Bohemia into crisis mode. By my approximation, three months of sustained losses would be enough to trigger panic, forcing them to allocate resources to fix exploits, stabilize servers, and finally listen to the community.

This isn’t a call for a conventional boycott, It’s simpler: community server owners unite, shut down servers, cancel Nitrado subscriptions. A small sacrifice, but one with real impact. Yes, it means temporary loss of play spaces, but every infection requires amputation. This is the cure for the disease of greed.

Spread the word. Share the numbers. Rally the owners. DayZ is not beyond saving, but only if we act together. This is our chance, our stand. If you want to see DayZ live up to its potential, then the path forward is clear. Don’t side with Bohemia’s neglect. Stand with the community. Save DayZ.

All KA variants in DayZ have their pro’s and con’s. I’ve had a debate for years with my friend about what we think is the best KA to keep with you.

My friend prefers the KAS-74U, because it is lightweight, compact, has a 45-round mag option and ammo is pretty common.

I prefer the KA-M because it can fit a silencer, kobra-sight and a drum mag so i don’t have to reload.

Purely statistical the KA-101 is best if you compare damage per second, range, recoil etc. This is mostly because of the powerful 5.56 rounds.

The KA-74 is the nice allrounder inbetween everything so i can see the arguments as to why you would like to keep it.

So, what KA do you prefer, and why?

I favor the more populated servers and I just play the game. I get food and progress to high tier loot. During my travels to high tier places I often wonder, where is everyone? Ill go hours without seeing/hearing signs of other players.

I mostly run I to geared players at spawn. I very rarely see them where you would find that gear.
