Just got an idea, in the last update Graves got her sapping ability taken from the hand. Which makes sense, because a character with that much area denial and push ability shouldn’t also be able to hold her own in a 1v1 especially considering that she doesn’t have to aim to proc ‘on hit’ effects. But I think I may have a better idea that fits her theme and also makes for a great gameplay loop.
What if, the sapping ability does belong to the hand seeing as it’s obviously a beam of necrotic energy. But initially, it only stacks spirit resistance steal. The second effect, could be that, if you kill an enemy while they had full stacks of resistance stolen, you then get a boost to your SPIRIT POWER.
The gameplay then centers around deciding when to get in range and take a fight when you think you could get full stacks and kill. You would look to pick off weaker opponents who do spirit damage (probably like a Rem). That way, taking a fight with certain characters (gun characters) might still spell doom, instead of gaining sustain on everybody while also being one of the most effective lane pushers and crowd control characters in the game.
If you play Graves or have an opinion at all, go ahead and say so using the poll.
I was thinking maybe, the spirit power part of the ability would be could be its first upgrade, and subsequent ones would changes the scaling of it all, maybe it has a timer, the buff only stays for so long, or maybe only applies to your next borrowed decree, so you know your next one would be especially important. I dunno
As for what changes the rest of her kit would need to facilitate this being a good idea. Go ahead and comment what you think upgrades would look like in a world where this was implemented.
I’d also love to hear how you would build her if this happened, and how you’d play.

Hey everyone, I’ve been trying to get into Deadlock for a while but none of my friends have access yet. If anyone has spare invites and wouldn’t mind helping me out, I’d really appreciate it.
Big fan of Valve games and hero shooters/MOBAs, so I’d definitely be active in the community.
Feel free to DM me or comment and I’ll send my Steam friend code. Thanks!
Edit: my friend code is 38576026
I just found out that Yamato is supposed to be a swordswoman through some people I met on deadlock. I know it sounds stupid, but I have legit reasons
Humans don’t look like how Yamato looks like in game(or an other race in deadlock for that matter), so I assumed it was an armor mask mixed with parts of her previous living face. That’s why her portrait emoted when she was really low
Her ultimate and 2 in my mind were very paranormal, with her calling upon the seventh moon and chanting some stuff in Japanese, I thought it was like a ghost spell. Also her 2 can just go through walls, so I thought I was so kind of binding ghostly ability.
And finally she the only character who doesn’t move or breathe in the buy menu. Every other character moves or at least breathes in the buy menu, usually with their chest and/or shoulders pumping up and down, Yamato is the only one who doesn’t and I checked.
That’s all tho I just really hope she gets the model that she deserves in the next update, I’m also a little stupid.

Please and thank you
In the last week or so, I have been in games, as well as watched games on twitch, where Walkers are being taken as early as 7 minutes into the game. I personally played a game where we lost lane, myself and lane partner were 0-2 a piece. We died as the tower went down, and by the time we respawn, there was a Graves standing under walking with ult and it was gone.
Now this was obviously the result of poor play on our part. But today, I played a couple games and just started rushing walkers pre 10 minutes and they get shredded super easily.
It honestly feels like Guardians are stronger than walkers. I thought the general consensus was there is usually no point pushing a walker pre 15 mins as they have so much resist, but that's clearly not the case.
I think part of the issue with the Wall Breaker meta we are in, is that not only do walkers barely do any damage to enemies, they feel extra squishy. Often times you or an enemy can just stand Infront of the walker even with some defending it and kill it.
Maybe I'm tripping, but I don't think it feels great when the hardest objectives to take is the guardian in the laning stage.
What do you guys think?
edit: Here's a clip of Saiah walking down a walker at 10 minutes that just happened. Got stomped by walker 3 times, the third time after being lasso'd.

I just wanted to add, the quality of games lately hasn't been great. Another general consensus is that the lane stage typically doesn't hold a lot of weight, but I'd argue it does because if you lose lane, there's really nothing stopping that lane from running the walker down.

I'm pretty new, only 75 hours (30 of which from back when there were 4 lanes).
I come from LoL where it tends to be that your team wants to ARAM, and it's often a huge trap to just follow them instead of making yourself stronger.
I find the same exact thing happening in my games, where my team just can't help but fight all the time. I just play Seven, and I get the sense this character scales super well. Farming camps is super easy. Sometimes I feel myself taking the bait and trying to help my team do some shit, and it just makes me fall behind.
Now i'm at the stage where I'm literally just ignoring my team entirely until I feel strong enough to be useful, or could ult and change the fight. but then I wonder if I'm doing it right, because obviously they're all dying.
I get the feeling the answer is "it depends" but I'm curious what people think since I've done zero research on this game
I already asked in the megathread, but no one seems to answer. Would be highly appreciated.

These are my last three games. These games are UNBEARABLE. These players can barely press a button on their keyboard. FIX THIS.
Does anybody else think that 7 minutes is a little early to have the cutoff for when a match is not counted due to leavers? When the matches, at least at my rank, can last anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour. I think it should at least be 10. Or am I crazy?
If you see this guy playing; hes a dv felon for beating his wife and stepson/ for video game time. I think it values deeply you really don't know who you're even playing with and interacting with.
AngryKraaken is dangerous in real life and gets mad really easily.
Good luck.
I don’t know why everytime I think of this question POCKET or LASH comes to mind. Especially POCKET I think for me it’s Pocket.
