We’re creating this megathread as one central place to discuss the new skin.

Share your first impressions, criticism, screenshots, reactions, and thoughts in this thread. Whether you love it, dislike it, or have mixed feelings, all opinions are welcome as long as they remain civil and respectful.

For anything else, please contribute to existing posts rather than creating another separate post. This helps prevent the same discussions from being repeated across the subreddit and makes it much easier for everyone to participate in the conversation and easier to moderate for us.

Please report any hate speech, harassment, racism, slurs, or other rule-breaking behavior you encounter. Don’t engage with or escalate these comments! Report them so the moderation team can review them and take appropriate action. Let’s make sure everyone can participate in this discussion without being targeted or harassed.

The last 12 hours have shown just how much Storm means to this community. 50,000 people have visited r/StormMains, over 200 posts have been made, and we still have an active post queue with more posts coming in. It has been a lot to keep up with, but seeing so many people come together to speak up for Storm and the issues surrounding this situation has been genuinely heartwarming and amazing.

And we want to emphasize something important: speaking up works when we direct that energy to the right places. Taking your frustration directly to NetEase’s official social media and other places where the developers can actually see and listen to feedback is far more effective than directing that anger toward fellow community members or moderators. The insane amount of attention this has received shows that our voices can be heard when we make sure they’re reaching the people who actually have the ability to make changes.

At the same time, please remember that being passionate does not give anyone an excuse to threaten, harass, or insult others. We have seen death threats, personal attacks, racism, slurs, and other forms of harassment directed at moderators and members of this community. That is not activism and it is not helping Storm. You can be furious about the skin, criticize NetEase, demand better, and make your disappointment known without making another person feel unsafe.

Maybe it’s just me, but I feel like I keep seeing the same types of pattern keeper posts over and over again on my feed. I know Reddit’s algorithm can push repetitive content, but the amount I’ve been seeing lately makes me wonder if some of them are bots.

Has anyone else noticed a sudden increase in pattern keeper posts, or am I just getting unlucky with my feed?
