I'm a land surveyor and I just found an organ transport container out in the middle of nowhere during a survey

I've already contacted the police.

UPDATE: Since a lot of you are asking, there hasn't been any big real update from law enforcement. I made the report and they told me no nearby hospitals have reported losing anything like this. As of right now, that's the only info they have.

A lot of you are mentioning rat race, which is pretty ironic considering I'm Italian

I can finally rest. All orders done.

Finished all roads at level 2. I'll probably start up again in a few days and max out any other porter structures to level 3 next.

How do I turn off music in a game?

Could you please tell me how to turn off the music in DS 2? There's no such option in the game settings. Is there a way to do this through the game files? It's really annoying. Not only is it constantly melancholy and sad, but it plays constantly. It gets to the point where I completely turn off the sound in the game and just turn on my own music.

Word of advice to PC players: play DS2 with a wired DualSense controller, no other controller can compare

Hello Porters,

So I’ve beaten Death Stranding 2, working on getting all achievements, and I just wanted to share this because the difference was grossly noticable.

I literally bought a PS5 DualSense controller just to play this game. I've had a great experience the entire time and used no other peripheral to play the game. Well that changed the other day, I decided to try using my Xbox Series controller wirelessly just so I could kick back and do some couch play, and I didn't want to get up and plug in the 10 ft usb-c cable. Big let down. The downgrade was so massive that I immediately got my fatass up and plugged in the DualSense. The Xbox controller just cannot compare at all.

The fancy haptic vibration on the DualSense was doing so much, that I didn't notice until it was gone. Like, you can actually feel the difference in the ground when you're walking on different terrain, and the adaptive triggers get stiff and give you actual resistance when you’re carrying a heavy load. It makes the game feel so much more immersive.

Just a major heads up though: you have to keep it wired. If you use Bluetooth on PC, the advanced haptics and the triggers don't work, so you just get normal boring rumble.

I'm gonna try the Director's Cut of the first game pretty soon here to experience the game through the controller.

Anyway, if you have a DualSense, definitely plug it in for DS2. It makes the whole world feel so alive, if that makes "sense".

Keep on keeping on!

(P.s. I still love the Xbox controller, and use it for most other games since it is wireless with the dongle).

Death Stranding 2 Director's Cut idea: Custom Ghost Blade

A fabricable, customized golden version of Ghost Blade that has chiralium coating that makes it effective against BTs and using this anti-BT melee weapon doesn't consume chiral crystals at all unlike Chiral Shock Cannon and Battle Guitar, though fabricating one consumes some chiral crystals from the facilities

Would be cool to have a fabricable version of the Ghost Blade that are effective against BTs unlike the standard Ghost Blade (that can only be scavenged from fallen Ghost Mechs)?

Something like when a Custom Ghost Blade is thrown against BTs, it will instantly kill any BT gazers (including hematic-resistant red BT gazers as it is chiral-based) and even BT watchers upon impact, and deals significant damage to BT catchers on impact (with damage roughly equivalent to four Lv2 Blood Grenades on weakspot hits, and two Lv2 Blood Grenades otherwise), and this customized Ghost Blade can also enable Sam to slash BTs when it gets too close and allows Sam to parry them right before triggering a voidout

However, the Custom Ghost Blade would have increased damage output against Ghost Mechs and even human enemies too (though using Custom Ghost Blade against human enemies is still not recommended just like standard Ghost Blade as it is still lethal against humans) and have slightly better durability and slightly lighter in weight (latter is due to chiralium coating) than standard Ghost Blade >!but can only be unlocked after reaching level 5 connection with armed porters (which are ex-MULEs who now works for Sam as companions for delivery and squadmates for combat, distinct from reformed backpack thief that went pacifist route), which meant that any actions done by armed porters don't count towards Sam's grades and instead goes towards connection levels with armed porters while Sam's actions still contribute to his grades, which should perfectly fit the central question "Should we have connected?" DS2 asked right?!<

Death Stranding 2 Mountain Area: Is navigating from peak to peak faster than just bee lining?

In my opinion, there are 2 distinct ways to traverse the mountain area in Death Stranding 2.

  1. You can just go as the crow flies, straight to your destination, through the snow, down into the valleys, up out of the valleys, only making a curve when you have to avoid untraversable terrain like a steep mountain.

  2. You can climb a nearby peak, and then follow the narrow rocky path to the next peak, and then so on and so on until you arrive at the peak nearest to your destination, and only then descend.

Now, it seems obvious to me that players are supposed to do 2 at least some of the time. the peaks are obviously designed to be climbed (even though I dislike the climbing system and wish it worked differently). The game even starts with a section where you traverse narrow rock paths like this.

However, is 2 actually faster than 1? I am interested in your opinions.

Note: The parameters are No Vehicles, no Floating Carries, No Hoverboard, Moderate Load

Some thoughts after finishing the game

I just finished my first playthrough. I played on the "To the Wilder" difficulty setting-specifically, with a semi-disabled HUD. I also turned off other players' structures, leaving only their cargo; this makes the game look aesthetically pleasing and makes you feel like a true pioneer rather than just some guy who hauls stuff around. I really enjoyed the game; it feels much more dynamic compared to the DS1. The level of cinematic quality is off the charts (in a good way), and the plot keeps you in a constant state of suspense. The music is beyond praise.

However, there are a few questionable aspects.

First off: the Magellan. In 106 hours of gameplay, I used it for transport exactly "once"-despite the story constantly telling me, "Hey Sam, there's a storm or a rift here, we can't fly anywhere!" (Yeah, as if I asked you to).

Second: the difficulty. Right at the start, when choosing a difficulty level, I was enticed by the fancy little "To the Wilder" label; clearly, the genius creator was dropping a hint: if you're not weak of spirit, pick this one. I thought, "Alright then—challenge accepted."

As it turned out, I had absolutely no trouble with the deliveries themselves, but the boss fights were a different story. In my opinion, this is the worst aspect of the game (or at least of this specific difficulty setting). The bosses' health pools become virtually infinite, and they can kill you in one or two hits—yet they don't get any smarter whatsoever. It simply devolves into an endless cycle of repeating the exact same actions over and over again. Personally, once I finally won, I didn't feel any sense of triumph—just a feeling of "Why the hell did I even bother with that?" After the first boss, I actually took a break for a few days because I was just completely fed up with it. And in the end? All you get is a patch for your backpack (Yay). Personally, I found it much more satisfying just to hear that snippet of the "To the Wilder" track play after completing a delivery.

As for the deliveries themselves, I didn't see anything particularly new; it’s the same fragile/speed-run deliveries. I didn't doubt for a second that things would be a total nightmare in the mountains at first—just like in the first game—and that I’d have to go around setting up zip-lines and the like. In that regard, the difficulty didn't seem to have any real impact on the delivery mechanics themselves. The game once again tries to nudge you into picking up random junk while you’re out on main missions—something I generally ignored throughout my entire playthrough—because grinding out 5-star ratings is supposedly much easier in the endgame. (Actually, it’s not a damn bit easier; it just feels like a separate job in itself.)

The game's biggest flaw, though? Did a small studio like Kojima Productions really lack the budget to come up with unique names for all the packages scattered across the open world? Or is this actually just a massive troll job aimed at Sam (and the players)—as if to say, "Thanks, Sam, for bringing me wet wipes for the twentieth time; I was starting to think they’d never get here!"

But at some point, the meditative parcel deliveries turn into grueling work—something, frankly, I would have preferred not to see in games.

I’m just glad that the game’s pacing in the final stretch managed to redeem all of that.

But despite everything, I really enjoyed the game. 👍

Mr.Impossible stuck just before 3 stars

I know that it'll pause you before 5 for the sub order but I'm no where close to 5 and I've delivered tons of S rank deliveries with no progress made. Is it blocked because of story things like with the ghost hunter or is my game just bugging?

DHV Magellan

I’m just going from place to place in the Magellan to deliver orders, it seems easiest to take care of most orders. Is there anything I’m missing out on by taking the lazy route?

Upgrading all roads to lvl2 gives no reward.

I worked very hard to mine and distribute materials to the pavers a second time to get each upgrade done, even with a discount by other players donating it wasn't cheap at all and required multiple full truck hauls back and forth. Thank god for the DHV magellan saving some of the trip. I spent so much chiralium to mine everything (that's after I emptied out lots of places).

Once I got the last node - nothing happen. Not an SSS message, not an achievement. Just a slight empty feeling that it was all just for me to move faster (or insanely faster when using a trike).

Anyone else got this feeling? Maybe I'm missing something?

About time I got to doing all 5 stars, now that I have all the roads I need.
