Rampant racial profiling in Nashville by state troopers and ICE

Repost @nytimes "Get him, he's Mexican." That's what Javier Ramirez heard before being pinned to the ground and detained for five days - despite being a U.S. citizen. New body camera footage from Nashville reveals a disturbing pattern of ICE and state troopers using minor traffic stops to target Black and brown drivers. While the Supreme Court has banned race-conscious admissions in colleges, it has effectively given a rubber stamp to racial profiling on our streets, argues the New York Times editorial board. This double standard has millions of Americans living in fear.

Nora the Piano Cat became famous for
"playing" the piano. She would press keys with her paws, creating soft, improvised sounds that people loved watching online.
Her music inspired composer Mindaugas Piečaitis to create CATcerto, a real orchestral piece based on her playing. It was performed live in 2009 in Lithuania with a full orchestra.
Nora was recognized by Guinness World Records as part of the first piano concerto made for a cat. Even after her passing in 2024, she remains a unique part of music history.
