What's your black experience in Springfield?

We're thinking of moving our family to Springfield. We are a family of color with two kids under the age 10.

I know generally, most places and people don't care about the race of their neighbor and they just want them to be good people.

With that being said, if you're a person of color that lives in Springfield, I'd like to hear how your experience has been. Especially if you're raising kids. Thanks in advance!

Route one south

Warning to drivers on south route 1 before granite run. There is a huge hump across both lanes. Not sure if it was caused by the heat. There are a couple cones on the sides of the road for warning, but easy to miss.

anyone have experience with providence animal center?

my 11 year old yorkie needs dental extractions, and our local vet has quoted us $2000 for the procedure. Is Providence Animal Center a good low-cost alternative? I see their dental services are much more affordable, but I’m afraid that you get what you pay for, especially factoring in that my dog is a senior.

Looking for friends

Hi, my name is Corey and i’m an incoming sophomore. (yes i can show proof of my age) I’ve recently attended Interboro High School and didn’t have the best time getting along with most students. I’m looking for friends in or near Glenolden and are within 15-18 years old. If none of what I said applies to you or you’re simply not interested, I understand and have a great day!

SNES and N64

Looking to sell all of the following n64 and SNES games.

Prices vary - for each - I used a pricecharting.com to gauge the price range of each game but would prefer to sell each set of games all together. Before reaching out and making an offer, check the prices on there as well. I’m willing to sell for any offer in the range on that site.

Have to put a price here so my post doesn’t get deleted $1 or best offer. But reach out via DM if interested and we can discuss.

Pick up only. Cash only. Will be in Media/Newtown Square area tomorrow morning.

Please reach out via DM if interested

BBQ Catering?

Can anyone recommend a bbq joint that does catering in Delco? So far I'm seeing Wilson's Secret Sauce, Plum Caterers, and Sophie's BBQ. Haven't eaten at them yet, but trying to get ideas. Thanks

Need advice on opening a bike shop in Lansdowne.

Hello, I'm helping my friend Lou open a bike shop near the intersection of Lansdowne and Baltimore, and was wondering if any local people had input. We're incredibly low budget, only about four months of rent to work with.

We have a friend who owns a bike shop in Philadelphia that is going to let us raid his stockpile of parts and bikes, and I have a ton of tools I can bring over from my little repair business I run out of a storage building.

I'm going to try my best to help this work. I hear from a lot of people that they want a bike shop nearby.

My friend has about ten years of experience with working as a bike mechanic off and on for friend's bike shops. The idea is we start repairing bicycles on day one since there's no other option for us. I'm curious what sorts of bike shop things people are interested in. New bikes, antique bikes restored, bike repairs, accessories?

Delaware County Community College Moves to Cut Counseling

Article regarding Counselor layoffs at DCCC. My question to the president, help me understand your statement… How would this poor move “expand access” for students?

Laying off counselors that are integrated in our college classrooms and the community, and outsourcing mental health counseling would NOT expand access by any means.
Please survey the students, we have a voice! I have yet to receive any communication about this from the college.

Palworld…

Might seem like an odd question to ask here but here goes nothing.

I’m a gamer and really into a game called Palword. I’m starting a server for the July 10th update.

I was wondering if there were any Palworld players in Delco. Be nice to find local people who play vs people in different time zones and countries.

Anyone get “solicitors” knocking on their door?

Drexel hill area. The same two men knocked on my door twice in one day! Said they were trying to help me and asked about my internet service provider. They weren’t wearing uniforms, just regular clothing. They also never revealed what company they were from. Is this a scam? What exactly were they trying to do if I accepted their “internet service provider offer”?

Also I’m not elderly - I heard they target certain demographics.
