Recently received residency approval. Thank you all for having me. Now I need to purchase health insurance and find a doctor. Looking for recommendations for or caution against a practice.

We kennen het allemaal wel hier in Delft, Luilak. De traditie waar mensen elk jaar steeds vroeger iedereens slaap verstoort, maar ik heb wel belangrijke dingen die in de ochtend af moeten. Heeft iemand tips om beter the kunnen slapen, door al deze onnodige herrie.

Ik heb gehoord dat je klachten kan sturen naar de gemeente, maar in voorgaande jaren heeft dit niet veel opgeleverd.

Does anyone have an idea regarding the DUWO student housing- Isaäc da Costalaan in Delft? What are the facilities? I know it is in close proximity to the TU Delft campus and grocery stores, but otherwise I have heard the building is old, and has an energy label F, which is very poor, so I want to know do students face issues with mold, dampness and cold during the winters. Also, is the area safe during the night?
All in all, how is the building and if anybody has any ideas regarding the area, it will be great.

Any proper recommendations in the city? Or should I check into the Hague/Rotterdam?

Two Irish men were in front of the AH at Bastiaanpoort and approached my partner with a sob story. Claiming their car got broken into the night before and their wallets and passports were stolen. They desperately needed the cash to buy tickets for the ferry back, as without their passports they couldn't book the tickets online. They would send the money through their Irish banking app to him (£490) and he had to take €560 out of the ATM for them. They showed him a (fake) bank transfer screenshot.

They even had the guts to call him again after to thank him for his help. They use time pressure and looked like they are in need of saving to trick people.

I have never been scammed or seen scams like this in Delft, but after googling it seems to be quite common. I am sad I wasn't there with him to stop it, but I do want to warn all of you to keep an eye out and not get scammed or stop others from being tricked by them. One of the men was called Francis, and we do have his phone number. This happened like 20 minutes ago.

Hi. My husband and I are biking from Utrecht to Gouda to Delft to Katwijk to Leiden and back to Utrecht. We are renting bikes and mapped out a route on Fietsroutenetwerk. I'm wondering if anyone has any advice for us? We are coming from the U.S. and while we bike a fair amount, we haven't bike in The Netherlands before.

I'm looking for a barber to cut my curly hair cause it has gotten too long, however it always gets butchered whatever place I go to lol

Is there any barber in Delft that handles male curly hair well?

My bf and I are getting married in the stadshuis and are looking for somewhere nice to go afterwards for a nice dinner. It's a small ceremony with only 4 people. :)

I’ve been looking at appartments on the beginning of Papsouwselaan (around pappa johns). I’ve been wondering about the neighbouhood, I hear different stories about camera surveillance, it being dangerous and also people that say it is not worse than in The Hague or in Rotterdam.
It’s not deep into Voorhof but you have the shopping centre there. I was wondering what are the experiences and should I buy or not?

Im working at the store, wont specify which. I never take sick days unless im actually sick with fever, so thats not the reason why he can be rude. I got sick in the end of february and called in sick 3 times. on 29.01, 31.01, 12.02. it doesnt even seems that bad??

a week after my last calling in sick, i got called into the office. he said quote "you are sick too much, 4 is too much". i think he included the day i had fever at work and went home earlier. it was griep epidemie that month aswell.

so today, 3 month later, i called in sick because i had fever. "again?" "what?" "again?" and i hanged up the phone. because i was kind of mortified. what do you mean again? last time i called in sick was 3 month ago??

i shoud have left when getting sick days 4 times in 2 month was "too much". i need advice, do i stay working to annoy them or leave? is there anything i can do?
