Is it just me, or has anyone else pretty much lost interest in this game?

I used to log in 4-5 days a week, but lately it seems the only focus is on making more money off the players.

I'm not naive... I know they're in it for the money... but they could at least make it worth our while and not be so vulgar and aggressive about it. When you log in, you're assaulted with posts selling bundles (which are getting more and more expensive) and all kinds of different packs, but then you look at what's in the bundles, and half the time it's either exact items that have already been posted or just recolors. No originality, no cute interesting new spaces to decorate... just BUY BUY BUY.

I would probably spend money on this game if I could pay to change the colors / patterns of furniture. or rearrange the furniture, or even change the color of the floor and trim. However, as it stands, I'm quickly losing interest in having rehashed furniture thrown at me in $10 bundles that contain maybe eight pieces if you're lucky.

Stop adding “optional” items

Every time I swear I’m done with the game, I go back and am slapped in the face with new stuff that’s diamonds only. Wallpaper? Drapes? Folded blankets?

Also, challenges that require furniture that’s diamonds only or ridiculously expensive? Yuck.

Time for me to walk away again, I guess.

deleted the game… again

Ok! If you’re going to cheat (DH) on Rising Stars- I’m out! I’m not judging anyone who plays. That’s not my style. As long as you know the truth about the game- that’s what matters most. I just need a break from this toxic game showing zero concerns or loyalty to those of us who built their empire. I’m tired of the fake accounts. I’m tired of the bots. I’m tired of waiting days for customer service, only to hear they will pass it to someone else. I’m tired of the hideous furniture prizes. What they have reduced this game too is criminal. They still haven’t adjusted competitions so we can remove people who aren’t playing… i was at 209… but; I just can’t make it to the end under this harsh conditions. A few months ago I cared. After cheating with Rising Stars. That’s the END. I HAVE NEVER SCORED 5th PLACE IN 3 YEARS- I AM ALMOST ALWAYS FIRST. Two times I was second. Today, 5th?! No Further Comments …

Fastest way to see what color game labels a piece?

Been casual on-and-off player for years now. As far as I am concerned, a significant part of the game is trying to really see what you're doing despite tiny displays, crappy lighting, weird shadows and partially obstructed views. Fine.

What's the fastest way to see if this armchair is black or navy? Right now, I just guess at the color and see if the item in question appears under that color. If chair doesn't show under black, I check under navy. There's gotta be a better, more efficient way to do this.

Am I missing a shortcut somewhere?

UPDATE: Responses lead me to conclude that there is, in fact, no shortcut. Not a disaster lol

Friends vs Following

I have been playing this game off and on for years .. I just recently started to follow people in the game and make friends but I've noticed that some people have like 2 or 3 dozen followers but are following like 4 people. Why do people do that?? I look at it as Why should I follow people, and allow them to borrow my stuff when they aren't going to follow me back? What is the general thought about followers vs borrowing items???
