Hi! I’m trying to learn this art style (reference included), but I feel like my version looks off and I can’t figure out why.
I’m using Procreate and I think I might be struggling with

what brushes to use
how to shade/render properly
making it look less flat?

feel like my lines are okay, but everything ends up looking kind of stiff or flat compared to the reference. I’m not sure if it’s a shading issue, color problem, or just my technique overall.
If anyone can point out specifically what I’m doing wrong or what I should focus on improving, I’d really appreciate it
Even small tips or brush suggestions would help a lot!

…if she were Hayley Williams. An illustration inspired by one of my favourite classic pieces of art - something I felt heavily reminded of when listening to Hayley’s music. The intersection of lyrics about water and love just brought me this imagery so I had to recreate it after recently seeing her tour. I hope you like! Open to suggestions / critiques / etc etc

She is an eclipse priestess with clairvoyant powers. Robin performs rituals to foresee potential catastrophes, and during the lunar eclipse, she is able to reveal paths that can avert them.

Tried to create a peaceful sunrise atmosphere.
