20+ years, but where was the peak?

Walkman designer and chief Akiraa Tanaka’s position is that “the latest is always the greatest” but I must respectfully and emphatically disagree with him. It’s not always easy to pick a favourite, given features and style along with sound quality, but some fit better than others in one’s life. Happy Tuesday, folks, I’m off to track down some missing CDs…

More Art From Junk

Don't worry...this wasn't my "good" player. It was a non-functional parts unit I had on hand.

D-33 Not Working

When I press play this happens without the cd installed as well as when the cd is installed and then it turns off and the display shows batt 00 only. Does anybody know what's happening here?

Discman D-33 not receiving power from batteries

I have a 1993 Sony Discman D-33 that has been working fine until now. It is no longer powered by batteries, and I don't have an AC adaptor to test it. I have tried fresh batteries and ensured that the hold switch is turned off. I have cleaned the battery contacts with alcohol. I thought something connecting the battery compartment to the board may be loose so I took the back panel off and this small piece fell out. I don't know where it goes.
