Im looking to get my first pair of Doc Marten Boots and I've heard that the 1460s are the most popular but are also so expensive and a pain to break in, so after countless researching i've boiled it down to either the 1460 Nappa, 1460 Ambassador or the 1460 Greasy. I want something that is suitable for Texas weather ( usually hot and muggy and rainy) but also long lasting and durable.

I don’t have a doc martens store in my country so I will be ordering it through an international mail shipping service so I won’t be able to return it if i get the wrong size
I’m usually size 37-38, I usually get away with 37.5 but they don’t sell half sizes unfortunately, would the shoes get looser if I buy 37 and it turns out they’re too tight?
I’m gonna mention my size in a few other shoes if it helps finding out what the better fit is:
converse: 37.5 and there’s a bit of room so I can do w 37 too

Found these at a garage sale, they are made in england. They cleaned up really good, I polished with wonder balsam and they look great. I dont know what color or year or model they are.
Any way to prevent it from growing? Shoo-glue or superglue? I feel like it’s in a part that flexes too much for any glue to stick

Picked up the Made in England Gibsons that are made with C.F. Stead leather. Nice pairing against my Horween leather MIE 1460’s. This leather is more rigid than the Horween, and it marks easily…but the color is awesome and the leather almost looks like suede. Nice grab for $125 and free shipping! Have about 20 pairs with all but 2 being Made in England.

excuse the very quickly scribbled color edit but fear i'm going insane -- i swear to god there was an alt colorway of the nina patchwork boots from the 90s (if menory serves); they were purpley, greeny, blue/black. I cannot find ANY photos (i'm sure the boots themselves are rare, but no photos is baffling me). anyone have at least photos of these or did i dream them up?
I bought a couple of buzz platform loafers from a scam website that claimed to be Dr Martens Airwair, and everything was 80% off. I never received those shoes, and nothing happened to my card. But I did end up getting these white boots for about $15 on Depop (made in Vietnam) and these black boots from the Netherlands for $45 (made in England). I’m really happy with them, especially the black boots. They’ve accompanied me all over the world!

I've had this pair of Doc Martens for about 4 years and unfortunately the sole is starting to break and there's holes where the leather creases at the heel (you can see my white sock showing through).
Do you think there's any way I can get them repaired? Or is it a lost cause? :(

This pair is actually so comfy I didnt need to break them in. A little heavy at first try but I wore it and walked the whole day and it wasn’t as bad as I thought, didn’t hurt at all. I sized down 1 size if anyone would ask. I went to journeys to fit sizes then ordered them on amazon because I couldn’t wait till my next town trip. Glad I did because i wouldve gotten the size wrong if i didnt try them before ordering. I’m a 6 in mary janes and a 5 in buzz.
