Possibly unintended way to get this Banana?
I tried for a few minutes to get to the special launch barrel using all the surrounding launch barrels but couldn't seem to find any way to get to it. I ended up starting over and just jumping across as you see in the video. Did anyone else do this?
9,999,999 Max Out - All Layers V-Rank in Level 7
About a month ago, I made a post stating I finally got V-Rank in Level 7 Emerald Rush for all layers. I found myself satisfied for finally conquering this goal and was ready to hang up the controller for a brief hiatus (outside of coming back for monthly events).
However, after reading through some comments - I received some words of encouragement to try and max out at 9,999,999. So after a week break, I jumped right back into grinding. And I’m happy to report - I finally did it!
I honestly found getting my first V Rank in each layer took me way longer than learning how to hit 9,999,999. My original strategy of using ban-none-za went out the window once learning how strong the Snake Bananaza/ Staring Down tactic was.
I am so happy to finally mark this complete in my Emerald Rush check list. I have definitely spent way more playing time in this DLC than the actual game (which is no slight at all because I absolutely loved the main game). I wrote a lot of my initial thoughts in my first post, so to make sure I don’t sound too redundant, I won’t ramble on again on how much I enjoyed the DLC and game as a whole.
Now that I completed this - I think I’m done in emerald rush lol or at least taking an ACTUAL break. I’ll look forward to coming back for the monthly events, but for now, I rest….
Mfw when I realise there’s a photomode in this game
Got to the food layer and accidentally found out this game has a photomode! Now I love it even more 🍌🍌🍌
Forbidden Layer question
Hey, I'm pretty bad at figuring out the Smashin Stats missions for each layer and eventually I do figure out but now I'm stumped at the Forbidden Layer's smashin stats banana, I need to smash through 30000 m3 of Stone and I have no clue where to find that here? There's never any video on any specific Smashin Stats showing how to reach that specific milestone for the banana. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Is there really no other way to progress?
This monkey is so happy about having mined out this giant banana. Is the game really forcing me to steal it?
Breaking 3 million in the Snake Bananza event
Thanks to all the helpful tips I found here, I broke 3 million in the Snake Bananza event!!
I got the status an hour ago it was a blast
Finally Maxed Out the Score in the Last Event...
Did you replay DKB after finishing it?
I just finished DKB (finally). Bought it in November and really loved it and made it to the Feast Layer with the burger switches, which I found a bit of a chore and didn't enjoy it as much there. So I paused playing the game for a while as I enjoyed other games. But finally today I continued and finished it. Loved the final boss play.
Must say it again, the game looks stunning. Love the art style and look. At times it's really super pretty and on top of everything the movement of DKB is just so fun.
It seems now after completing the game there are some more bonus things to entice one to replay the game. Is it worth it? Did you immediately replay it?
New statues out now!
The way Rattly is placed, it looks like there’s room for three or four more animal buddies.
Maxed the event
Can be done a lot faster, this was a blind run
Strategy: Stack Hyper Hopper, Low-Down Beat, Slo-Mo Beat, Jumpin' Beat. Demolishers are fine. Farm any enemy you like, make sure you kill them with a charge jump while you're on top of them. Staring Down is on the rare fossil in the sand near Grumpy on SL1203 (there may be other spots). You want to do the first few goals for chips so you can buy at least 2 Better Glare, 1 Bananergy, Better Charge Jump and Jump Burst (you can also get them from bananas). Once you have enough Better Glare and Staring Down, keep Glare active at all times to slow the round timer.
Breaking Giant Fossils?
This is the biggest fossil Ive found so far and it wont let me break it
Even with the Bananza Forms
is there something im specifically suppose to do for big fossils?
Maxed the event in Round 6
Really easy when you're abusing Staring Down. I don't think I really optimized it all that well either, I could see shaving it down to Round 5 very easily.
Besides Staring Down, farming Illuminoids and Trapantuloids was the main strategy starting around Round 5 when I got enough of a multiplier. There are so many Illuminoids on sublayer 1203 you can easily farm most of them without much effort.
(*pauline's voice) YES YES YES
Help with the Emerald Rush event please…
I think my biggest issue with these events is that I am now only playing the game during these events. So, I have completely forgotten move sets, item locations, level layouts, etc. I think the last time I played as Snake was the Snake rehearsal (before the DLC was released). So each event, I’m trying to relearn the basics under a time limit. I’ve completed every other event (each one taking longer and getting uglier). I haven’t even claimed the first banandium chip reward this time (I usually unlock the first statue by now, and I completed the first event on my first try). Snake being one of my least used Bananza form doesn’t help at all. Sitting at a 1400 high score right now and this event just is not clicking…🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
So, suggestions for the first few rounds? Get the fossil map right away (next to the start location), snake transformation at the far end from the elder? Then just go beat a few void Kong challenges? Any critical fossils/bananas to get at the start (and mandatory rerolls)? Which critters are best to farm (and where are they?) Clothing for this event (I assume the 80% longer snake Bananza). Which skill to spent banana chips on first? Explain it like I’m 5 please. Thanks!
7th Event MaxScore in Round 4.
Since I managed to get the highest score in Round 4 of this event, I’ll jot down the key points here.
- Increase Hyper Hopper, Lowdown Beat, and Slo-Mo Beat (as evenly as possible)
- Illuminoid Demolisher too. (An invincible enemy in bright places)
- There's a “Staring Down” on the 1202 floor, so be sure to pick it up early on.
- Get the Slow Motion upgrade early on, and use the Snake ability to apply Slow Motion constantly
- To always be a snake, wear clothes with snake-like extensions and an emerald tie to boost your adrenaline.
Round 4 isn't that difficult, but I'm not sure if Round 3 is doable. I'm not sure if “Lowdown Beat” is effective against the snake's diving punch.
Here's a video.
In the inevitable Emerald Rush event where the Zebra Bananza statue is made available, which animal friend do you think they will pair with that statue?
I left Ellie off the poll on purpose by the way, since in the inevitable Elephant Bananza Emerald Rush event, she is obviously going to be paired with the Elephant Bananza statue.
Hardest Event Yet. Thanks for the tips!
The one Bananza I usually avoid using in the main game, is the snake... but this event forced me to use him for this event... so this was the hardest event for me. I managed to beat it, near the start of round 10.
If it wasn't for all those tip threads, I think I would of failed this event.
Thanks guys!
How to buy apple juice right before Void king boss fight
Am I cooked or is there a way to get apple juice, punching the rocks don't give anything.
