First post ever pls be nice (which one should I post on my portfolio?)

Hey guys, just started actually using this account and wanted to share my most recent piece, but idk which version to upload on my portfolio, can you help me choose?

Done with CSP and digital collage from pics I got on iStock (the eye, spikes and flesh). There’s room for improvement but I for sure had fun doing this one. No AI used btw.

Disappointed in this translation/adaptation

I miss the bluntness and vulgarity of the manga. Also he looks pissed in the anime while in the manga he’s disregarding the news as dumb. Just a minor change I wasn’t a fan of. Still love that we get an anime though.

Is exhaling smoke only for a select few?

I only remember seeing En and Noi (Kai doesn't count because he wasn't born that way) exhaling smoke from their mouths; the rest use their hands. Is this only for mages of high social status?Does exhaling smoke from the mouth mean better control of magic? Or does it mean being a mage with denser, rarer smoke?

It's... all his fault?!

I don't know if this was brought up. Basically the events of the series are almost all Kasukabe's fault, although his intentions are always quite pure. He teaches Aikawa about sorcerers' bodies, assists him in becoming the boss and fusing with hole, which leads to the cross-eyed and their extensive knowledge fighting sorcerers, and later not realizing the consequences of his actions and helps create shin who is the one to tilt the equation between sorcerers and humans and destroys the residents' only defense force, as cruel as they were. In my opinion, he is the closest thing to a god, in a way, after Chidaruma and Hole.

He is definitely the most important plot device in the series, don't you think?

Another week, another thrilling episode! (Spoiler for the episode in the body text!!!)

In today's episode we got to see some more Fujita shenanigans, Natsuki discovering her magic, Nikaido's training and a closer look at Risu's and Aikawa's relationship! This episode adapts chapters from 76-77 and beginning of chapter 78. The pacing has slowed down, so there's barely any cut stuff this time

Personal prediction: the last episode might adapt chapters from 78 to 79, >! ending after Natsuki's death !< (MANGA SPOILER, DON'T CLICK IF YOU HAVEN'T READ IT)

Some very small that were changed from the manga are:

The scen of Fujita, Ebisu, Chota and Kikurage entering Sho's flying carpet has been cut

In the manga Risu teasingly acts surprised that Aikawa has nightmare

In the anime, they show way more of hell than in the manga

Anime added a small scene of Johnson dying himself

In the manga, Risu admits to stalking Aikawa, in the anime it was cut

The scene of Natsuki showing the crosseyes her magic was cut, but i'm 99% sure that it will be in the next episode

Some small details and my thoughts:

Poor Sho, no one remembers him

Fujita's relationship with Ebisu is so cute

I swear, Aikawa gets prettier with every episode

Friendship between Risu and Aikawa is very cute

I like that the finally gave Risu his normal hair back

What even is the statue that Risu hides behind when he's stalking Aikawa? It has nipples, it's deconcentrating…

Haru is so hot oh my god, Haze is so lucky

Nikaido in a ponytail!!!

Once again, i love Aikawa's voice actor, he sounds both very silly and serious it's perfect

Naming Conventions

My partner has been pointing out that all sorcerers/born in the sorcerer world have Japanese names and people in/from hole have different names

The only outliers I can think of are Shin, who was born in hole, has a Japanese name, but he is a sorcerer Also could potentially be named after the bodypart. And Ai Coleman who is from hole and wasn't born a sorcerer, has a Japanese first name, but he becomes a sorcerer later. He also really wanted to be one, it's possible he just chose Ai as a name to go by

It's been yeeeaaars since I read the manga and my partner is anime only. I can't think of anyone that entirely breaks this rule

Which volume should I buy?

Hi, I just wanted to ask at what volume should I buy the manga. I know that the anime is a bit different, but my budget isnt good enough to buy all the volumes for now, so should I rather buy the manga from where the anime will soon end on or start from the beginning?
