Starting drag - tips for beginners?

Hi all!! I'm curious to know how you all started drag & tips you might have (particularly makeup/outfit wise)? I've wanted to start doing drag for a long time now, but I saw my first in person drag show last weekend and I genuinely cant stop thinking about how free and cool I'd feel if I started doing drag myself. There's a weird anxiety barrier for me with properly getting into it, so I figured I'd pop by here and see if anyone felt the same and had any tips for getting over that + makeup and outfits, etc. Thanks bunches! You all look amazing! ❤️

Butttootking show Age restrictions

This is probably very random but I’m wanting to buy tickets to the butttootking tour and it says it’s 21+ on the description. Do any of yall know if this is super enforced cause I’m 19 as well as my Freind and we’ve been to this venue before so i don’t know if I should take a chance?

A beginners attempt at Drag makeup !!

Hello!! I've always loved drag, but only recently started to get into doing it. I don't have a wig yet, but hopefully soon I can get one! Any advice would be lovely, as I honestly feel a bit overwhelmed getting started.

Sorry if I'm a bit awkward, I don't usually post to any social media, but I felt like I should connect more with the drag community if I want to be a drag queen :D

What is Appreciation vs appropriation

Hey everyone, just a little bit of background on the title. My name is Opal Nightsky and I am mostly white, I have family from all over, though. My cousins are of Latin decent. One's family are from El Salvador the other's are from Guatemala. I wanted to do a drag number in spanish and add aspects of Guatemalan/ Salvadorian culture to my look. I feel like it's a thin line between appreciation and appropriation and understanding how to do it in the right way plays a crucial roll. That being said I am trying to give this some serious thought and hoped that maybe some of y'all may have some suggestions.

I'm mugging drag queens to learn more about myself, as if I was RuPaul Andre Hatsune Miku Charles HERSELF

I actually bought the wig this time, so I'll have some fun with the four foot long pigtails in future outfits.

Kitty Kat Ball Chicago w/ Darlene, Nini and Myki! And Angeria and Lucy Stoole!

I'm going to this show on May 30th in Chicago and wonder if anyone here is also going??

I want to find some friends that love drag as much as I do! I live in the burbs and all the Drag events are in the city. Ive gone to so many events on my own and while I don't mind going alone, it'd be fun to have a friend to go with so we can share our excitement together!

Still testing facial hair styles. Who do I remind you of?

I’m also testing different methods of applying it— turns out black lipstick is good for more than just lips! 🖤 Also would love feedback and tips!
