"Go on then dear. I know you've been watching your siblings do these interviews."
"Uhm... hello there? Mm, you must not talk much, but I saw mother and my siblings talking to you, so that must mean you're listening."

"My name is Lumi. I'm the last hatched. I don't remember much when that happened, but I do remember mother licking me clean. I just wanted to be with her. She makes me feel safe when I'm afraid, or when my wing gets hurt..."

"What else, Lumi?"
"Ahmm.. Well, I do like to swim, especially in the river with you nearby, mother. I always have fun there. The fish don't like me though. I think I scare them."
"They're afraid of you, dear?"
"Yes! I'm a big mean dragon who is very hungry and out to eat them! But... not really. I just swim and watch them. They have scales like we do and when some of them swim next to me, I like to see the different colors!"
"Mmm, but you do eat the fish from time to time too."
"That's when I am hungry, mother! You've told me how to show that to our prey."

"I like to catch butterflies, find pretty flowers, and watch the birds. And I like learning magic. Mother is really, really good at it. She makes very beautiful things and I want to learn how to help other people like she does."
"I'm glad to hear that, my little one."
"Yes yes yes! Because sparkle-healing-magic is the best kind!"
"Ahaha! Is that so? Sparkle-healing-magic?"
"It is. The best. Anyway, I'm going to know the best magic ever because of my mother. So, best be watching Guardians! I'm going to share lots of magic with you!"

The last of the hatchlings! Lumi [Loo-mee] is such a sweetheart. I love how I see her gentle voice imitating Amendelwyr's, always seeing what's around her with an eye of wonder and childlike curiosity. The kind of life that wants to learn, grow, but also see others do the same too. She's got a big heart, is very compassionate, and sees all life as something to be enjoyed, trusted to be beautiful and experienced with others. She's the smallest of the bunch, maybe comes with a little naivety. She's much like her mother that way, as much as her scales are too. . .

I've been wanting to get something for u/awesthedragon for a while now and I got lucky enough to win a raffle from a very talented artist. It's really hard to find a dragon community that truly strives to be family friendly. This subreddit feels like the exception and Awe/Tess has a big hand in making that happen. Anybody who gets to know me knows how much of a prude I am and so when I really appreciate it when I encounter a community like this. It's been a blast.

Also Tess is just a really solid guy. Hope you enjoy, man!

"Alright, alright, I know you're excited dear."
"Hello Guardians! I am Safiiri. I hatched fourth in my family. I know you don't see me around all that much, or well, maybe you do. I like to stay with my mother, even when she's busy. I love her so very much and she makes me feel safe."

"I love you too, Safiiri, and I'll always protect you. What else do you want to say to them?"
"Well, let's see... Some dragons think I have light-blue scales. But I think they're more silver-like. I don't see too many silver colors. I'm a little smaller than my brothers, and Emelyn, but that doesn't keep me from trying to win any games we play. I like to play Find the Treasure, Count the Scales, and Roar! Or maybe sometimes we playfight, wrestle and such. My brother Theowyl is strong, but I'm going to grow up to be just as strong and smart as my parents, maybe even be Skywarden someday like my mother."
"Skywarden, hmm?"
"I want to grow up to be like you mother. I want to know all about magic. I want to be known as kind and wonderful and protective too. The kind of dragoness that anyone can come to and find help."
"Ah, thank you dear... those are very good goals to have."

"Of course, there's a very good reason I do. See, when I was a little smaller I was taken by some very bad people. I was hatchling snatched! I was so scared! Everything was awful and smelled horrible. It was dark all the time for what seemed forever. But, my mother led an entire army of dragons to rescue me and other friends!"
"And I would do it again. Nobody takes my little ones, not even demons..."
"And I don't want any other dragons to feel so scared either."
"You'll try at least, Safiiri. Remember what I said?"
"You said that bad things happen, even to good dragons. What's important is that we choose to try. Because our choices are what matter."
"Yes. We're made up of our choices, Safiiri. Every dragon of every scale, fur, or feather. And not all choices are easy ones, but we're always looking for the good, better, and best choices."

"Is there anything else?"
"I won't forget my father. He's a bit more quiet, but he loves us a lot too. He tells me that I like to have fun the most. I wish I could leap and fly off his back every day! He always brings us the biggest meals and rolls our shiny hoards around for us to play with. I want to hug him every day and tell him I love him. He's my perfect dad..."
"We all do, little one."
"Ahah! Yes mother, he's perfect for our family."

"Mm, I think that's all I want to say. Time for goodbye! Rooooaaarrrrrurr, Guardians!"

#4 of the hatchlings! Safiiri [Sah-fee-ree] is definitely the playful sort of character. She loves to bring smiles to everyone she meets. And it's true, in her own way, she wants to be just like her mother. She loves her family and those around her. She's gone through some hard things so early in life and she's choosing to try and make a difference in the future.
