The Drime Team has done it again! High Five!

u/Empty_Win_297 - I want to thank you and team for all your hard work on this awesome product. I know you all are still in your infancy but WOW, just WOW!

Is it perfect, no. Is ANYTHING? Absolutely NOT!

You have just inched closer to my main cloud storage with the latest Android release. You have now surpassed G Drive by allowing the creation of docs without having to download multiple apps and can do everything IN Drime. No to mention the Vault, Notes and the Signing of Docs.

The only thing that would make this even more perfect would be the ability to move folders between Workspaces.

I should say I'm fortunate to not have some of the issues others have described. Hopefully those that are having issues will get them resolved soon because this is honestly a great product! This is money well spent for me.

Please, I'm begging you PLEASE DON'T GO AWAY any time soon!

I have a lifetime subscription and despite what others say about lifetime, this is one of the BEST purchases I have made. I feel like I'm already getting a full return of my investment because there are so many more features than when I purchased.

HI FIVE DRIME TEAM!

Windows Desktop Update: Early Access + 2nd Anniversary Giveaway Winners

Hi everyone!

Development on the new Drime Desktop update for Windows is progressing really well, and we’re preparing a major update with a very large number of fixes and improvements.

Since the release of the latest Windows app in May, we’ve collected a lot of reports and feedbacks from you, and with this update our goal has been to address all of the issues that have been reported to us and significantly improve the overall reliability of the app.

Before releasing it more broadly, we’re looking for a few users who experienced issues with the current Windows app and would be willing to test the new build and share their feedback.

If you’re interested, just send me a private message!

Also, our 2nd anniversary giveaway has officially ended and we’ve randomly selected two winners. 🎉

Congratulations to u/Euclid1322 and u/Standard-Recipe-7641 who each win a 6TB Lifetime Plan!

Thank you again for all your feedback, reports, and for being with us during these two years.

When are lifetime plan offers expected to end?

It isn't financially viable to continue lifetime offers with the current pricing. Typically, the offers are phased out after a while, and met with an increased monthly cost (i.e Filen).. That's if there is consideration to running this service as a business long-term - who knows.

I am considering cloud options but will not be committing for a couple months - I'm interested in understanding expected timelines from the Drime Team.

Thanks.

Avoid this service

Forgot password links sent are dead. If you need to reset your password, you are 100% unable to, no matter what devices you use, cookies you clear, extensions you disable. I need to use this type of product (this is why I bought it), and I am unable to because their website continually gives an "invalid or missing CSRF token" when trying to reset password. It's almost like they want to refuse access to anyone that forgets their password. I am a 20-year internet user, I know how to reset a password. Never have I had this type of problem before with any website.

Drime Android - backup & upload = terrible

I cant ignore the fact how unreliable its upload media manual OR auto backup is.

I gave it full whitelist including doze exemption and shizuku-level + apps ops level whitelisting

Yet this app vanishes sometime later 5-10min and doesnt continue more

All other cloud backup apps work btw

I cant even upload, thats so embarassing and sad...

I know what im talking about, my phone doesnt kill it, i whitelisted fully system-wide with adb and its working like charm

But drime upload/backup.... no

I been trying upload files, VIDEOS

Less than 50 videos

And barely uploaded 10 videos

They are 200-300mb - 5-8gb

So disappointed that i felt to take it here to show seriousness of this issue

Succeeded upload only ~7gb in HOURS

My wifi isnt culprit nor my data, i had to open drime app and check transfer status

Anyway

Device Oppo Find X9 Pro

You guys need optimize android app, forreal... we are in 2026 this is as important as webapp....

Transfr - an abandoned app

I regret paying €200 for the lifetime plan. Despite that, the app still repeatedly shows me banners asking me to upgrade to Pro.

The app is also unreliable: uploads almost always fail with errors, upload speeds are be extremely slow, and the overall UI and UX is dated. The pricing is difficult to justify, which may explain why the app is being offered at heavily discounted prices on StackSocial.

I would caution anyone against buying it, even at that discounted price.

Edit: Uploads work fine on Drime. Seems Transfr is broken.

Gallery date and time display

In the gallery part of the app, the date and time of the photos were displayed correctly in the previous version of the Android app, but now the photo time only shows the GMT time. For example, a photo actually taken at 2026-07-31 20:37 (GMT+9) but the gallery shows taken at 2026-08-01 05:37. Hope it can be fixed in newer version. Thanks Drime team.

[Serious] What a joke

UPDATE 16 August: They sent me one today.

Hi everyone,

Want to share what a joke of a company / support when dealing with paying customers this is.

Bought 6TB Lifetime and asked for an invoice via e-mail to support & owner (as it was before) on 23/06.

1st email:

https://preview.redd.it/5fm1xljnsajh1.jpg?width=986&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=cd2f64b5c2f6408fd42264a088878323c5e70ecd

Couple more followed:

In total i have sent exactly 8 emails plus a post on reddit here https://www.reddit.com/r/Drime/comments/1ukhf0r/purchase_invoice/

With the new ticket system, yes i tried that as well, here it is:

All in, i've been waiting almost for 2 months for a simple invoice.

So be aware of this. Its a basic right and legal obligation they completly ignore

Not sure what have been your experiences so far, but this one has been crazy. Never had one like this.

Very disappointed: no reply after more than two months

I bought the 6TB lifetime package last February. I uploaded my files through the website: one misc folder which is only 9.2GB, and the other - which contains my photos - which is about 1TB.

Uploading was very slow, but it worked.

However, when I later checked the contents of my workspace through the Drime Android app, I did not see the second folder. I assumed it was just a bug and the big size of the folder was giving my phone problems.

Imagine my surprise when I logged in through the website a few days later and noticed my entire photo folder was gone.

Nothing in the Trash, no record of me deleting those files... and oddly, it still shows I am using 1.4TB out of 6TB.

I contacted support through the form on the Drime website, then sent an e-mail to contact@drime.cloud after.

That was in June.

We're now two months later, and I am still waiting for a reply.

I even DM'ed u/Empty_Win_297, but all I get is silence.

I am very disappointed.

Update on storage limit increase?

I bough the 6TB lifetime plan yesterday on Drime. It is still showing 20GB in my plan. How long does it take to update it on their end? Thanks in advance.

Any syncing app that supports Drime

Hi folks, Does any one have hands on any mobile app which integrates drime cloud for syncing files on phone to cloud. Since drime doesn't support webdav, I am looking for any alternative to apps like autosync for transfer of files from phone to drime cloud. Note. I am aware of drime native app but it only supports photos and videos and not other files.

Windows Client messing with files.

I tried to sync my GoldenDict app with several directories inside the /goldendict/content folder.

Guess what? Drime moved some of the files (primary images that some of directories had) from the subfolders directly into the /goldendict root folder. WTF? This is unacceptable. Now all the directories I had for GoldenDict are ruined. root had like 20 files and folders. Now it has 3,000 files....

Thank God I only tried syncing one program so far and not the 4 TB of data I was planning to move.

Drime should remove the Windows app because it is unsafe to use.

Minor Bugs - Photos and App

In the web interface, files can only be sorted in folders with relatively few files. I have a folder with over 600 photos, and the “Last Modified” sorting option doesn't work there. So you can't sort the files in ascending or descending order by “Last Modified.”

Loading the files is also a bit slow when there are many files, photos, or videos in the folder. In the Gallery, on the other hand, it works quite well—including the sorting—but only in the web interface, which is the next bug I found.

Sorting is also difficult in the app. In the Gallery, all videos are generally displayed at the top. In the file details, you can only see the creation date, which corresponds to the upload date—a detail that’s secondary for photos and videos. In the app, the loading times for photos in the file overview are very slow, just like in the web interface, and it takes a long time to scroll to the end of the list.

Still, I’m thrilled with Drime and I’m sure you’ll be able to fix all these little bugs.

It would be a nice feature if you could upload photos directly to an album, or if the uploaded photos and videos were added directly to the album.

Highlights: Integrated Support, Vault Expansion, and Mobile Reliability | Week 1 August 2026

Hi everyone,

This week, we launched a new support system directly inside Drime, significantly expanded the Vault experience, improved the PDF Editor, and released another batch of reliability improvements for Android and iOS.

We also continued working extensively on the Windows desktop application alongside the upcoming macOS rebuild.

Here's everything that changed.

Integrated Support

We have taken your feedback regarding our support response times and ticket organization into consideration.

We recently removed the real-time Intercom chat from drime.cloud. Unfortunately, it led to a large number of abusive or duplicate requests, while the real-time format could also create the expectation that every message would receive an answer within minutes.

To improve the experience for everyone, we have created a new support system directly integrated into Drime.

You can now create and follow a support ticket:

This new system will help us organize requests more efficiently, keep track of conversations, and progressively improve our response times.

Support by email remains available as usual.

Vault (Web)

The Vault is now displayed as a dedicated section in the main Drive navigation, alongside Home, Folders and Tools.

We also brought the Vault experience much closer to the rest of Drime:

  • Added much faster thumbnails and previews for newly uploaded photos and videos.
  • Added a dedicated Photos gallery with a timeline, filters, and favorites.
  • Added dedicated Recent, Favorites, and Trash pages.
  • Added file tags while keeping this information encrypted.
  • Improved Trash management and storage usage synchronization.
  • Redesigned the file information panel to match the Drive experience.
  • Added more reliable file and image previews.
  • Improved the overall Vault interface and navigation.

The Vault can now preserve and display detailed EXIF metadata, including:

  • Capture date.
  • Upload date.
  • Last modified date.
  • Camera and lens information.
  • Exposure, ISO, and focal length.
  • Image dimensions.
  • GPS metadata when available.

This information remains encrypted and is not stored on our servers in readable form.

PDF Editor (Web)

We released another batch of reliability improvements for the PDF Editor:

  • Improved the stability of text editing.
  • Added support for detecting and editing rotated text.
  • Improved PDF text and layout detection.
  • Added real-time collaboration inside the PDF Editor.
  • Fixed various issues affecting complex or unusual PDF files.

Mobile (Android and iOS)

Version 2.11.36

We continued improving reliability and the photo backup experience across the mobile applications:

  • File sorting now works correctly by size and upload date.
  • Ascending and descending sorting now work correctly.
  • Sorting now also applies to the My Shares tab.
  • Added Free up space to remove photos and videos from your device after they have been safely backed up.
  • Improved startup speed.
  • Initial synchronization can now resume instead of restarting.
  • Memories now include animated zoom effects and quick actions.
  • The information panel now displays full EXIF metadata and video details.
  • Added the ability to rename files directly from the information panel.
  • Shipped various reliability, performance, and UI improvements.

Desktop Applications

We also continued working extensively on the Windows desktop application.

Improving its reliability remains one of our main priorities alongside the complete macOS application rebuild.

This work takes time because we want to build something reliable rather than rushing another release. We are continuing to address reported edge cases and synchronization issues.

What's next

  • Additional Vault improvements, including duplicate file detection.
  • More mobile reliability fixes and improvements.
  • Continued development and stabilization of the Windows desktop application.
  • Continued progress on the complete macOS application rebuild.

Closing thoughts

Thank you for following this week's Highlights.

These updates reflect our continued focus on making Drime faster, more reliable, and easier to use across every platform.

Your feedback plays an important role in how we prioritize improvements, and we’ll continue shipping meaningful updates across the Vault, mobile apps, desktop applications, and support experience.

Thank you for following our progress and for being part of Drime.

See you in the next one.

Got any feedback or ideas? Drop them in the comments or at https://ask.drime.cloud/feature-requests.

Unable rename a folder.

I am unable to rename a folder. I am getting an error "file with this name already exist." I have just two folders in my drive and both of them are uniquely named. How to fix it?
