RC Explores my Living Room While I watch A New Hope

On his head is an Arduino Nano ESP32 and a lux sensor. (and a Cheez-It box) I’m running a script from my laptop that has the droid move forward (my carpet often causes him to turn), then check whether the current light level is lower than the average. If it is, he looks left and right and then picks the lighter direction. If both sides are about equal, he backs up.

You’ll notice that he comes up to me, then turns and starts moving in the general direction of the window.

Moving forward, I want to give him some choreographed actions and noises between light-check steps. I’m also struggling a bit with the carpet in my apartment, and my kitchen, which has tile, is a little too small to do much in.

Making A Droid That Can 'See'

I recently bought my first Droid. I got an R-unit body with a C-unit head.

Back during my undergrad, we did an assignment where we measured light using an Arduino and a VEML7700 lux sensor. I attached an unfinished picture of that project for reference.

My idea is to somehow attach the Arduino to my droid and have it move based on light levels. Right now, I can control the droid from my laptop, and I have a script set up that makes the droid play a sound when the light level drops.

Has anyone done something like this before? If so, I’d love any tips, especially on how or where to attach the sensor.

Chopper Droid Comparison

I did a comparison between the Chopper (C1-10P) versions available, the Ahsoka show version vs. the Rebels show version. I barely have ever seen comparisons of the 2 and honestly, they are quite different after putting them side by side.

Here's the link if the embedded video doesn't show... youtube and it's bot security lol

Lola Interactive Base

Hello, new person here. Looked at the rules, didn't see this not allowed, but also nothing that said it was, so hopefully its ok.

I have the Lola Interactive Droid, love her. Have had her on her legs, with the stand that goes with it. For the life of me I cannot find the floating base, and my OCD is going nuts. Could I buy another one? Yes, but then I would be in the same boat, one droid missing the base.

Just wondered if perhaps anyone had this base and not use / want it? Would love to replace it.

Thanks.
