Randy's "Cinderella" scene changes depending on the protagonist's gender
One Randy detail I keep thinking about lately is that his Topic 4 is literally called "Cinderella" in the Sojourns of the Pages of Time.
When I first played it with the male protagonist, I honestly thought the whole thing was just a setup for Randy to mess with us.
Instead of simply asking you to be his dance partner for the celebration ball, he somehow turns the entire conversation into a disguise plan and starts trying to convince you to dress as a lady. Then he throws in half a year's salary and promises to protect you from Chief Sibylle the next time she tries to arrest you.
It was so ridiculous that I didn't really think too hard about it at first. Just classic Randy behavior.
Then later, I found out the female protagonist's version is way more straightforward. Randy immediately gets the idea; the conversation stays focused on the dance-partner angle, and the whole scene flows surprisingly naturally.
And honestly? The more I thought about it, the more the "Cinderella" title really started to fit him.
Not just because of the ball, but because the whole story is basically about pretending to be someone else for one night. Costumes, roles, appearances, all that stuff. Randy's "perfect gentleman" image has always felt a little like that too. Like he's putting on a polished act over something much messier underneath.
So now I'm not really sure the crossdressing joke is just a joke anymore. It still feels funny and very in-character for Randy, but it also feels like the game quietly poking at how performative his whole persona is.
Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but it genuinely changed how I looked at that scene.
Are there any other fun facts in the Sojourns of the Pages of Time?
Got i6 Su Yi on my last run for the week!
I had 19 letters this week, and needed 36 memories to get to i6. On the last secret letter, I only needed 2 more, but they dropped a ten stack! 😺😹😺😹
while I felt very lucky this week to hit i6, it did take 128 Completions. I compared it to my other i6s, and I got Rhythm in 119, Lisbell in 96, and Berry in 109.
I have Rebecca at i7 at 147. (EDIT: pretty sure I got Rebecca sooner and ran the rest of her letters for the materials.)
Good luck everyone!
so close, yet so far
i am so frustrated already...

Weekly Build Discussion: Fina (2026-05-18)
Each week, we will choose a topic and open a weeklong discussion for building & theorycrafting. On most weeks, the chosen topic will be a playable character, but sometimes we may also discuss other types of gear that offer a meaningful decision space. You will be able to find a list of all past weekly discussions in the Subreddit Wiki.

Hi everyone, sorry for missing last week! This week we find ourselves at the Lumino Phoxhunter Summit, and there's a Lumino character who might play a significant role in some team comps: Fina! After losing both her parents to tragic circumstances, she was taken in by Outsider, who helped her experience the childhood she had missed, and start writing her own story. In-game, she boosts her allies' damage and plays with the elements to always hit the enemies where it hurts.
Roles: Support
Skills:
Bad Sorcerers Hate Sunlight! - Passive: Grants additional Lumino damage that lasts forever. Using On a Warm Afternoon or having an active field from Let the Tea Party Begin! grants a stacking buff that grants additional Lumino damage for a duration.
On a Warm Afternoon - Combat skill: Deal Lumino AoE damage in front of you and reduce the movement speed of any targets struck. While the field of Let the Tea Party Begin! is active, using this skill relocates that field to your current position, expands its range to match that field, and increases its damage.
Let the Tea Party Begin! - Ultimate: Create a special field in front of you. This field continuously comsumes your Sanity and ends when you run out of Sanity or when this skill is held. The field will be imbued with an element; all allies will deal an instance of damage in that element when the field appears or shifts. The field also periodically deals damage of the imbued element to enemies inside it. Using this skill again while the field is active cycles the imbued element in this order: Nightingale (Hydro), Hound (Pyro), Unicorn (Electro), Butterfly (Anemo).
Passive upgrades:
Skill Range +30%
Skill Duration +15%
Using On a Warm Afternoon increases all allies' damage based on the number of buff stacks from Bad Sorcerers Hate Sunlight!.
When deployed as a Combat Partner, increases Weapon Damage for self and allies proficient in Swords or Assault Rifles.
Introns:
Lv. 1: Allies buffed by the field from Let the Tea Party Begin! gain PEN for each type of additional damage effect they possess.
Lv. 2: Increase the maximum number of stacks for the buff from Bad Sorcerers Hate Sunlight!, and gain more stacks from your skills.
Lv. 3: On a Warm Afternoon Level +2; Bad Sorcerers Hate Sunlight! Level +1.
Lv. 4: The stacking buff from Bad Sorcerers Hate Sunlight! now also increases your Skill Intensity and Skill Range.
Lv. 5: Let the Tea Party Begin! Level +2; Bad Sorcerers Hate Sunlight! Level +1.
Lv. 6: While the field from Let the Tea Party Begin! is active, Fina gains bonus CRIT Chance on her weapon damage based on the amount of Bonus Effects the target is suffering, and the elemental type of the weapon damage is converted to the target's weakness type.

Which attributes are important for this character, and in which order?
Which Demon Wedges are mandatory on this character, which ones are situational, and which ones are a trap?
Which weapons are best to equip with this character?
Which other characters are the ideal match in a team?

What is this character good at? What should they be better at?
What is the ideal skill rotation? How do you maximize the value of their skills?

Does this character have any niche uses that might not be well known?

Something happening tomorrow
Saw these from CN content creators, comments saying it might be 1.4 devstream announcement

Is the game worth playing again?
Stopped playing 4 months ago, has the story and gameplay improved? I'm thinking about reinstalling just to play the story to see if its' worth the recent hype.
Just in case you've never been to the CN servers
Does this make me stupid so I knew in dungeons you can use companions but open world I couldn’t find a way and boss fights and thought there had to be.
Well i decided to look it up and the badges I was curious about you just put it and summon them. I feel so stupid bc it would take me a while to build sanity to kill them by myself.
[V1.3] Character Guide丨Rebecca & Hellfire [Intron Lv.7] 丨PART 2/2
PART 1/2 Rebecca: [V1.3] Character Guide丨Rebecca & Hellfire [Intron Lv.7] 丨PART 1/2 : r/DuetNightAbyssDNA
Chapter 2-Hellfire
2.1 Character Role
Name: Hellfire
Element Type: Pyro
Main Damage Sources: Combat Skill & Ultimate Skill
Hellfire is a Pyro-element Skill DPS who excels at using wide-range attacks to control and clear large groups of enemies.
Unlike conventional characters, Hellfire has high base HP and no Shield. All of her skill damage scales with the HP attribute.
2.2 Skill Priority
[Cage of Despair] = [Raging Inferno]>[Retributive Resolve]
It is not recommended to upgrade every skill beyond Lv.8. We can only unlock the stat nodes and passive that do not consume the skill upgrade material [Twilight Tread].
2.3 Intron Lv. 7
Simply put, the effects of [Intron Lv.7] can be divided into three parts:
- While [Retribution] is active, Hellfire can deal Skill DMG / Melee DMG to to an enemy has a 60% chance to trigger an additional [Puncture Retribution] of Comat Skill [Raging Inferno]. This can trigger up to 8 times within 2s.
- Every time triggering the effect, Hellfire can grant 1 stack of [Reckoning], up to 150 stacks.
- Each stack of [Reckoning] increases Morale by 1.0%, DMG dealt by [Cage of Despair] is multiplied by an additional 2.0% per stack.
[Intron Lv. 7] significantly increases the number of Combat Skill effect triggers and Ultimate Skill damage for Hellfire, while also further boosting overall damage through a large amount of Morale bonuses.
In my opinion, this is mainly compensation for Hellfire’s overly low skill damage multipliers, raising her from a character with [very low damage] to one with [average damage]. She is still a relatively weak character...
2.4 Recommended Demon Wedge Builds
Because Hellfire’s skills consume a large amount of Sanity, it is recommended to equip [Wings·Inspo] to increase Max Sanity and Skill Efficiency.
*If you have not yet forged gold-rarity Demon Wedges, lower-rarity purple or blue Demon Wedges can be used as temporary replacements.
2.5 Recommended Melee Weapons & Demon Wedge Setup
★★★★★ Whipblade - Undying Oneriros
Weapon Attribute: Spike ATK
Weapon Skill: Max HP +50%/100%.
When this weapon triggers a bonus effect on hit, it grants +8.6%/17.2% Max HP for 15s, up to 10 stacks.
Undying Oneriros can greatly increase the character’s Max HP, making it one of Hellfire’s best melee weapons.
Its charged attacks hit many times, allowing it to easily trigger [Intron Lv. 7]'s [Puncture Retribution].
★★★★☆ Polearm - Wanewraith
Weapon Attribute: Slash ATK
Weapon Skill: Skill Intensity +24%/48%.
Skill Intensity is an attribute that Pyro characters lack.
★★★★☆ Greatsword - Punitive Inferno
Weapon Attribute: Smash ATK
Weapon Skill: Max HP+50%/100%.
When a Pyro character takes damage, it grants +30% Skill Duration for 8s(up to 3 stacks).
Skill Duration can significantly increase the effect duration of [Raging Inferno]. Hellfire can use this melee weapon when AFK farming.
2.6 Recommended Ranged Weapons & Demon Wedge Setup
★★★★★ Assault Rifle - Dregs of Glimmer
Weapon Attribute: Spike ATK
Weapon Skill: Multishot +37.5%/75%。
When a Pyro character deals Skill DMG, it grants 1 stack of +3.5% Skill DMG for 10s, up to 30 stacks.
Dregs of Glimmer is Camilla’s signature companion weapon, which can increase Pyro characters' Skill Intensity. So it's the best ranged weapon for Hellfire.
★★★★☆ Dual Pistols - Excresduo
Weapon Attribute: Spike ATK
Weapon Skill: Skill Intensity+24%/48%.
Excresduo provides a stable increase to Skill Intensity, making it a lower-tier substitute when Dregs of Glimmer has a low Smelting Level. It can also be used without equipping any Demon Wedges.

[V1.3] Character Guide丨Rebecca & Hellfire [Intron Lv.7] 丨PART 1/2
Overview
In this update, Rebecca & Hellfire have unlocked [Intron Lv. 7]. To unlock a character’s Intron Lv. 7, we must first upgrade the character to Lv. 80 and fully unlock Intron Lv. 6. We will then need the following five materials:
- The character’s corresponding Essence Thought (exchange at the [Immersive Theatre]shop);
- 30 Character Thought obtained from Secret Letter;
- Twilight Thread (available from weekly Mystic Maze missions and various in-game version events);
- 5 Gold-tier new Character skill upgrade material (crafted using materials dropped from [Commission:Relocation]; purple-tier materials require clearing [Commission:Relocation] above Lv.70);
- 20 Gold-tier Corresponding attribute ascension material(Secret Letter).
In this guide, I evaluated Intron Lv. 7 performances of these two characters.
Chapter 1-Rebecca
1.1 Character Role
Name: Rebecca
Element Type: Hydro
Primary Damage Sources: Combat Skill & Ultimate Skill
Rebecca is a Hydro-attribute Skill DPS who excels at using wide-range attacks and summons to clear large groups of enemies efficiently.
1.2 Skill Priority
[Aurelian Caress] > [Lada Lovedew] > [Truelove Trial]
It is not recommended to upgrade every skill beyond Lv.8. We can only unlock the stat nodes and passive that do not consume the skill upgrade material [Twilight Tread].
1.3 Intron Lv.7
Simply put, the effects of [Intron Lv.7] can be divided into three parts:
- When [Summon: Aurelia Aurital] attacks, there is a chance to immediately apply 8 stacks of [Poison of Love] from the passive [Truelove Trial]. This chance is equal to 100% of Rebecca’s Melee Weapon CRIT Chance.
- When [Summon: Aurelia Aurital] attacks, there is a 30% chance to trigger an additional instance of [Poison of Love] damage on the target.
- For each [Summon: Aurelia Aurital] on the field, damage dealt by Rebecca and [Summon: Aurelia Aurital] is increased by 12%, up to a maximum of 60%.
[Intron Lv.7] increases the damage dealt by Rebecca and [Summon: Aurelia Aurital], but the numerical values are actually fairly conservative.
The effect that allows [Summon: Aurelia Aurital] to instantly apply 8 stacks of [Poison of Love] on attack is not especially powerful, since [Poison of Love] is already easy to stack.
The 30% chance for [Summon: Aurelia Aurital] to trigger an additional instance of [Poison of Love] damage is much stronger. This provides Rebecca with additional Skill damage, though the 30% trigger chance feels somewhat too low.
As for the final damage increase effect for Rebecca and [Summon: Aurelia Aurital], the values may seem average at first glance, but this is actually one of the few stable damage buffs currently available to summons in the game.
Summon skills have extremely high damage multipliers, but because summons are treated as independent units, they often cannot reliably receive various damage buffs from support characters when they are created. As a result, summon damage tends to be inconsistent and cannot fully realize its full potential.
1.4 Recommended Demon Wedge Builds
Rebecca’s Demon Wedge setup should primarily focus on increasing Skill Range and Skill Efficiency.
*If you have not yet forged gold-rarity Demon Wedges, lower-rarity purple or blue Demon Wedges can be used as temporary replacements.
1.5 Recommended Melee Weapons & Demon Wedge Setup
★★★★★Polearm - Siren’s Kiss
Weapon Attribute: Spike ATK
Weapon Skill: Increases Skill Range by 30%/60%.
When performing Normal Attacks with this weapon, gain 1 stack of ATK SPD increased by 3.6%/7.2% for 15s, up to 12 stacks. The effect is removed when switching weapons.
Both Skill Range and melee weapon ATK SPD are important attributes for Rebecca, as they can be converted through [Misty Veil] into additional summon attack range and attack speed.
1.6 Recommended Ranged Weapons & Demon Wedge Setup
★★★★★Dual Pistols - Excresduo
Weapon Attribute: Spike ATK
Weapon Skill: Increases Skill Intensity by 24%/48%.
Only the Skill Intensity attribute is needed, so Demon Wedges are optional for this setup.
★★★★★Pistol - Rendhusk
Weapon Attribute: Smash ATK
Weapon Skill: Increases Character ATK by 60%/120%.

What do you guys think of the incense proving event?
I feel it's definitely one of their better events they created. Going around, trying to get the treasure while finding/doing events to get better treasure is a lot of fun. I personally hope there will be a permanent version of this that is weekly.
