Am I the only one who paints the bottoms of my pieces black again?

I like to paint the unseen parts of the blocks in black to clean the tiles up and make them look nice and slick, despite the fact that noone will see those parts during play. I wanted to know if I was the only one who did this.

Looking to start!

Hello!

I’ve been looking into DB as a new system for me to build with but I’m not sure where to start as far as research for starter builds. I have an A1 and have printed other things in the past, but would love having the flexibility to put together dungeons/city spaces for my DND groups. Any advice would be appreciated!!

Final boss dungeon build for my campaign.

Most of the tiles are from the XL dungeon release, which makes it a lot easier to build large dungeons like this. There’s a few pieces from the original ultimate dungeon set and some from the extension.

Three parts are not from Dungeon Blocks. The two portals are from Loot Studios and the Orb on the top left is from Moonshine Miniatures.

The orb and the three crystals were printed in transparent petg and a small colour changing led was placed inside for an awesome effect.

Overall the build was fun, the players were in awe. A success overall I’d say.

I was just a little surprised by the XL set not fitting their normal grids. Pieces without floor were designed with a single socket. I’d have preferred these pieces with individual sockets to fit the older grid and be more compatible with older sets.

Map Showcase: Kitchens of the Butcher King

Hi all, these are photos from a recent 3-part homebrew adventure I ran.

The first map with the connected village, cave and dungeon were for the first two sessions. Entitled 'Caskan is Dead', the party comes across a village in The Ride named Stillcamp. A boy named Casgill informs the party that his recently deceased grandfather, Caskan, was on the verge of discovering a weapon that could defeat the dreaded Butchers, a local Ogrillon clan. They delve from the village, into the caves, and on into a forgotten Narfelli demon-binding outpost.

The larger single-room dungeon was for the finale, The Kitchens of the Butcher King, where the party chase after the Butchers to rescue the villagers of Stillcamp before they can be fed to a abyssal ritual cauldron...

I hope people get a kick out of these.

Ruins & Ramparts 2-Level Gate: Covered Window?

I may be missing something obvious, and I've tried squinting at all the instances of these on the main MyMiniFactory page, but is there another piece I should be using to build this type of gate that avoids having a partially covered window on one side? I'm kind of surprised that there's not a Tall Angle wall without a window...
