Does EOS have boxing?
I see some info on their website, but it’s kind of vague. I’ve been trying to find a good cheap gym that has boxing classes I can take as well.
Normatec boots air leak
I know this isnt a eos issue, but anyone that uses the normatec boots in the tank, have you experienced air leaks in certain boots? I am so tired of sitting for 6 minutes, feeling minimal compression, and sure enough screen says air leak. I am tempted to bring a red marker in and make a discreet red dot on the ones that work so I know when I come to use that specific one. How do these air leaks get fixed? I really enjoy the boots, but i am not sure anyone has even brought it to the offices attention. I am in a rush every morning but am considering on the weekend telling them.
Just joined
First time ever posting on Reddit so forgive me if I mess up formatting or anything.
I just signed up for the base level membership an hour ago maybe. My only issue is how predatory they seem to be about trying to get you to sign up for personal training. I said no because of money (I’m broke as hell and have several big expenses coming up that I need to save for), said “oh you can put 50 down today and pay 88 in 2 weeks.” I say no I’m not looking for personal training at all I really want to do my own thing but they refused to let me go like that. I had to sign up for a welcome training session I don’t want at all. I know it’s their job to sell but I just felt so icky to the point I want to cancel to be honest.
I’m scrolling through all of these posts of absolute horror stories of Eos training being hell to get out of and how much they over charge and I don’t want to deal with any of it. It’s been a while since I’ve been in the gym, life got super busy, but I know what I’m doing and I really just want to get them off my back so I can go there and comfortably workout like I told them I wanted at the introduction.
Anyone know how to avoid this whole issue? How do I get them to back off and make sure they don’t charge me for services I don’t want? Should I just cancel now while I’m ahead?
New EOS opening rate - switch EOS location for the lower price?
I belong to one location in CA that's about 15 mins from my home, and another one is opening much closer to me. I currently pay the approx. $30/month for the top tier membership and was told that for one day only, I can get the same membership for $15.99/month if I switch. Is this a legit offer? I'd rather avoid scammy offers.
Price Increase breach of contract?
I got the email yesterday as well stating the price increase. My membership is only going up by $5 (33% increase) which isn’t a big deal but I decided to break out the contract and do some reading. Here’s the section that makes me curious if the increase is valid:
“Notwithstanding any other provision of this Agreement, you understand and agree that they amount of your monthly membership dues is based on current sales tax rates and to the extent such rates should increase during your membership, the club has the right to increase your monthly membership dues by the amount of such increase.”
I don’t see anything else directly tied to monthly rate increases. If I’m understanding this correctly, price increases are tied to sales tax. I’m in Nevada and our sales tax hasn’t changed since 2020. Think I should email/ask what exactly is driving this price change? Or just move on and deal with the fact I’ll be getting 2 less protein bars a month? Oh, and my contract also says it starts in 2030 🙃
UPDATE 1: Paper trail established. Emailed my local gym stating the verbiage on the contract and just asked if they could clarify where the increase is coming from.
Worse than a Golds Gym Contract from the early 2000’s!
Last night I received an email for a “minimal” monthly membership increase (35%!!), but I was like: wow, ok… at least they told me this time…? 🤷🏻♂️
I then realized what was once my “locked in” (as my initial emails explained long before the local club opened) $9.99 rate is now a few dollars away from the anyone walking in today to help overcrowd the floor Will Crush membership fee.
Since I only go to this location, I figured I’d just downgrade if I stay here. $50 downgrade fee! With that news, I told the staff member (who wouldn’t stop coughing every 10 seconds) I’ll just quit now with my 30 days notice.
I’m set to be billed on 8/28 (11 days from today), but she let me know I should expect to be billed in September, too! 41 days away…?
HOW does that make sense?
Also, my request was entered into a notebook with a pen. :)
My annual membership fee isn’t due until 12/28, so they’re just swapping out rates whenever they want/can’t improve their existing app, so they had to work with a completely different developer to build a new one. $$$$
I’m switching to the Active & Fit Direct plan where I can choose whichever participating gym I want + no additional fees. If you aren’t aware of it, it’s offered through AAA and a lot of health insurance companies. I may even select THIS EoS once I break free from their predatory billing.
Sorry for the exhausting rant—I’m slightly tweaked out on a new pre-workout powder I found at Marshalls. 😵💫
Was I wrong thinking that if I sign up before the gym opens and never change my membership my prices wouldn't increase? My experience changing tiers.
So EOS took over a building by me and so I signed up for the top tier for like $18/mo and I swear it was explained to me in-person during my little tour that if rates increase that because I locked in before the gym opened that my price is for life. My ACH was even waived (I saw posts about that on here).
I received an email the other day that my top tier plan is being increased to nearly $9/mo more. I go online and it's like $1 less or so than if I sign up fresh right now. My gym is so crowded good luck using most of the amenities in this tier. Even the movie theatre just stays packed so I'm like well I don't use this stuff anyway let's see if this is correct and either drop or cancel. I see horror stories online and I'm like it can't be as painful as it is. I'm g00000d at ish like this. You are all correct. It is a royal pain in the a$$ and completely anti-consumer. Here is my experience:
I have never had a gym membership or canceled one. So like everything else in 2026 I go in the new EOS app to look around. No easy options. FAQs talk about the myIclub or whatever website. OK. No problem a lot of tv subs make you change your membership in a browser and not via the app. Not too bad.
I go to the my club whatever and create an account. It shows me my EOS club number I requested but says an account can't be made. I've had this membership at least two years with zero bank or tier changes etc. Nothing funky to discredit my experience.
So it tells me to call a 1800 number. I'm put on hold for 18 minutes while I'm googling and reddit redditing stories and this phone number etc. I have to do this annually with my ISP to lower my bill (cox cable) so I'm prepared to have to disarm pressure tactics from people who don't care about anything but my money. Finally, someone gets on and it is from a very foreign country so I was surprised EOS outsources? I thought I was gonna get a salesman type person. Anyway, bless this poor soul on the phoneline for listening to me explain why my rate goes up or how wrong I was to believe in the guy when getting my membership that it wouldn't increase. They tell me politely all they can do is cancel my membership. I cannot switch tiers I need to call my CLUB lol. No problem it makes sense. I thought EOS was centralized. No problem.
I call my club and ran around the telephone tree maze a bit before finally getting someone live and on the air in my gym. I explained it to the young fellow who said yeah they are getting calls about this. It sucks. He lamented for me. It sounded authentic at least. I said bro is the bottom tier sh!t still $9.99? Your gym is too crowded there is no parking and the amenities have waits even random hours. They confirm the bottom tier is not going up in cost. They apologized and seemed to agree with me that early adopters shouldn't increase but are (I still think that is too good to be true and I misunderstood at signing but I'd love to hear feedback from you guys).
They grabbed their manager who said I would have to speak to a THIRD person to take care of this but that he gave his blessing? So nice third guy was like you can only switch tiers in person because you have to sign stuff. OK. I sign insurance stuff legal documents etc way more critical online but my big box gym can't implement that? I understand the tactics of this game. Fine. I ensured the hours managers are there cuz they had to get approval in person too. Probably more pressure like a car sales lot. Fine. Whatever. I go to a mental gym too so I can handle whatever.
I drop into the gym and it took 3-4 people for me to switch tiers in their system. I'm still not sure it worked. They said their system was having an issue and that they would have to submit a ticket??? I said ok well no email no confirmation no receipt nothing that I was even here so I'm praying guy at the front desk wasn't blowing me off he seemed dope. Stressed. I wasn't sat down in a cubicle I was up front as everyone checks in. Front desk staff shout out you're just doing your best. They ultimately said I would notice my bar code change to basic b1tch or whatever the $9.99 tier is by the end of the week. I'm like... it is 2026 no confirmation email from whatever you just clicked homie? He and the other worker both said no. No notification. So I'm trusting but verifying this stuff. This all happened today so I won't know but will return if I need to. Front desk staff seemed real and genuine but idk.
Oh and all that stuff about not being able to cancel online or by phone or even change my tier without going in person cuz I had to sign stuff? Well, I left not signing anything on the little pad. So idk.
I just paid my annual fee like a few months ago so I figured I'd give this tier a try vs signing up and paying a new fee which they said I'd have to do if I canceled. And if I do need a higher tier my incentive as an early adopter of a new opening gym is basically $1 less than it would be now that I'm basic and if I decide to change back down the line. Lol.
Anyone else have experiences to share? I'm laughing at how obviously painful it is this company is anti consumer and is a puppy mill for young people interested in exercise and helping people. Only with that car stealership vibe added on there. Idk man I wish my rec center had better hours. Hard to beat certain times of the day when I work or when it is less busy where I live.
Frustrating. All this just to change a tier! Let alone I swearrrrr my rates would never evah change if I locked in before this gym opened. I must have made that part up or misunderstood.
Anyone tried the new Dutch Bros / 7 Brew 30-day free pass?
Just got an email from EoS saying if you bring a Dutch Bros or 7 Brew cup this week you can get a free 30-day pass.
Has anyone actually tried it yet?
Mainly wondering:
Do they make you do the gym tour/sales pitch first?
Can you just walk in with the cup and ID?
Do they ask for a credit card?
What can you actually use during the 30 days? Just the gym floor or also classes, sauna, CryoLounge, The Tank, massage chairs, hot/cold plunge, etc?
Is the free personal training session optional?
Would love to hear from anyone who has actually redeemed this promo. Especially Davenport/Posner FL.
Sleazy Sales Tactics
To anyone this may help, EoS is worse than any other gym in terms of sleazy sales tactics. I am a member of LA Fitness (national membership), and Planet Fitness (Black Card). I have LA Fitness for the sauna and the variety of equipment they offer. I have Planet because some busy weekdays, I can only go gym after LA Fitness has already closed. It’s as simple as that. I love working out, so I spend roughly $60/mo on these two memberships, plus separate annual fees. Most of my previous LA Fitness memberships were Paid in Fulls, because I worked in the gym industry and understand the benefit. Not saying all this to brag or show out, saying it because I literally could have been their easiest client of the month. I pride myself on being that for gym salespeople LOL.
Anyways, got the 7-day free pass to see if it’s worth cancelling LA and Planet (both of which I have decent deals on), to switch over, especially because besides the sauna, the extra cost at EoS would solely be for the 24/7 access, as I have never used cryotherapy or any of the other crazy things they offer (see the benefit tho). Absolutely nothing on their website mentions any ‘rules’ about the 7-day pass. Get the pass, super excited to try this new gym out that everyone’s talking so much about, and head over. Front desk staff immediately gets into sales mode as I mention I have a pass, and starts mentioning rules for using it. One of the three rules is you need a drivers license showing you live within 10 miles of the gym. I live within 10 miles (actual rule that’s mentioned in fine print is 25 miles), but I own a property that is technically a primary residence much further away. That address is on my license. I explained that, and the front desk staff smiled and said “we won’t be able to accept the pass, but you can pay for a membership and cancel within 3 days if you don’t like it. We have promotions right now.” So he/they lied, and also made the experience super unpleasant. Could’ve given me the day pass since I drove there and put my info in the system so front desk staff know if I come in again… could have even offered me to pay for a day pass which almost all gyms have and I would have been up for it.. But just wanted to pressure me into a membership… at 8:30 PM, on a Sunday night.. Told him, why would I get a 7-day pass if I live so far.. but also understood that people do lie, so I asked if I could show my LA Fitness membership and what my home club is set to so he can see that I do in fact go to the LA Fitness less than 10 miles away. He said, “sorry, the only way to process the pass is through your license.” Which, I know damn well is untrue. Anyways, called sales staff later to inquire if it is indeed a rule and to see what options I had. They said the same thing. I said, “you should put that in your website,” (if it’s going to pressure people who just spent however long driving to the gym into getting a membership on the spot). No answer ofc.
Super unprofessional. Having worked in the industry, it’s not uncommon to face unprofessional people, these gyms will hire any body. Yes, the space between any and body is intentional. They’ll hire any body they can find. But in all my years, I haven’t really heard of this. LA Fitness got some sleazy people, none of them do this kind of stuff for real. They’ll try, and give up if the guest doesn’t budge, so they don’t lose a potential customer for life, or to another more decent salesperson. If they don’t give up, they’d 9/10 get in trouble for it. But nah, this seemed like they were trained for this and were waiting for it. At this point, I don’t even want to go to EoS cause that just indicates poor training/management/company policies. I’d rather just work around my schedule and deal with LA/Planet since I at least know the employees there are decent people.
This was the PGA location by the way, in South Florida. Doubt every EoS has unseasoned salespeople like that. Hopefully y’all are luckier than I. What’s funny, is EoS doesn’t even have enough locations for this to be a genuine problem. They could easily take down license numbers, regardless of if you live near or not, and have those notes pop up whenever you input the same license number/name at a different location. It’s what we did at LA for genuine cases of someone abusing the free pass. Closest one to PGA is Boynton btw, a whopping… 25 miles away… 👁️👄👁️
Btw, I didn’t crash out or become unruly, spoke super respectfully to everyone there, and just kept it pushing when I realized they’re just sleazy and lied even about the mile radius needed for the free pass. Just felt super let down and frustrated, and wanted to vent in a meaningful manner.
TLDR: EoS has sleazy sale tactics and will have no issues wasting your time if you were hoping to use a first time free pass. Don’t waste your time going to one with a pass, either sign up bc you know you’re going there, or try to go with a member who has guest access. Probably better to save yourself what I can imagine would be roughly 1-2 hours on a miserable sales pitch and also just join online if you want to join. Skip talking to them unseasoned salesbodies.
Help. Revoked Membership.
Anyway to have this issue resolved in less than “24-48 hrs” or 5-7 business days? Anyone had an issue like this before or another way to communicate with the proper customer support team?
Yesterday I was informed that my gym membership was revoked due to an investigation into an incident where I was allegedly acted in a way where it was deemed inappropriate.
I was informed that I was reported gotten behind the front counter to steal a pair of AirPods at night hours through security footage review at my local Fitness Facility in FL.
While I had wished someone had contacted me about the incident for further details. However, I assure that I did not steal anything. To clarify the matter, I had came into the gym earlier that night and worked out. At some point during my training session my AirPods Charging case must’ve been misplaced potentially fallen off my backpack or gym shorts somewhere along the gym floor(s) or around the exercise equipment I used that night. I didn’t notice them lost until I got home later that night.
After realizing this, I used the my Apple iCloud account’s “Find My” app to locate Apple devices therefore realizing my AirPod Pros 2 charging case where left behind in the EoS location in N Wickham.
I arrived and I say did quickly say the person upfront through words that I was just locating and grabbing my lost AirPods Charging case through my iCloud “Find My” app’s “sound” and “localization” features to identify my case. “Find My” showed that they were behind the counter and were 5 ft away from me and I could hear my AirPods Case sounding off their locating tracking tune.
Once I identified my empty AirPods case using this feature, I took them and left the gym peacefully. This has not been the first time I have lost my case in the gym and I had this interaction with staff. No incidents before.
An additional note during this incident, I was also using my ACTUAL AirPods earbuds in an active call with my girlfriend. This could’ve been spotted from the security footage that I had my AirPods on my ears. I only came back to the gym to reclaim my property and left to go back to my home to sleep. The interaction was very brief and quickly done.
There were no intentions of harm, cause a concern for the safety of the employees or members of the gym. Nor do I wished to steal anything or vandalize anyone else’s personal property.
I have already talked to the locations operations manager, and explained whole the situation to him and I have been informed to make a formal approach through the email he provided me to reach the team that flagged my account and proceed to request a formal review into the matter to request a reinstatement of my membership agreement. The person who called me has no way of giving me a proper number to call and the operations manager said he can’t do anything about this issue because is above him (and the district manager can’t do anything either).
So I am stuck playing the waiting game, after speaking with customer services I was given this same explanation and was told to wait if I hear back with those two timeframes mentioned at the start of this thread.
Whatever Happened to the Good Old Barcode for gyms?
What happened to the good old days of a simple plastic barcode? Now I have to download an app for every single fking gym just to get through the door. And this fking EOS is especially frustrating because some locations use NFC, others use a barcode, and the whole thing varies by location. There is also a "New app". It feels like every business wants to collect data and track every little thing these days. I don't want to use my phone for everything. Sometimes I just want to pull out a plastic card, scan it, and get on with my workout. Is that really too much to ask?
Joining using Prime membership
Tried to join EoS using my "Prime" global gym membership provided by my Health Insurance provider. EoS is a participating gym.
Obviously had to be upsold by the EoS Membership person so I walked away. Was frustrated by the experience to say the least
Is there any better way around this? At this point just avoiding EoS.
Should you approach her/him at the gym?
A while ago, I came across a few posts on Reddit where the overwhelming majority of people were basically saying you shouldn’t approach people at the gym. And you know what? I actually believed them.
Still, I decided not to listen.
I approached one girl after she left the gym. She was really happy I talked to her. We met up twice, but unfortunately, we’re just from completely different worlds.
I approached a second girl between sets. She told me she was seeing someone, but said it was really nice to know she caught my attention.
Then recently I approached a third one. We’ve been seeing each other for four weeks now, and everything seems to be going in a really good direction.
I’m only posting this because I don’t want you to give up on someone you’re interested in just because people on the internet told you not to do something.
Pick the right moment, don’t be pushy, and I guarantee that in most cases, nobody is going to react negatively.
And if you’re still unsure - just imagine how nice it would feel if someone you liked came up and talked to you ;)
Good luck. Don’t listen to sad and boring people!
No one responding to our email or front desk about $2.99 processing fee
We set our account up with our bank checking account and were told it would avoid the $2.99 processing fee. We still got charged the fee when the bill came. I asked front desk, they said they put in a ticket for it to be looked at and taken off, but when our next bill was up online for when it was upcoming, it still showed it on there. I emailed their contact us email over a week ago and havent received a email back. Not sure what to do at this point. Its still a killer deal my wife and I together for $37 per month with the annual pass bundled in, but we were told we could avoid that fee and it seems theres no one who can help with it?
Anyone like the new nfc pass? I was sent a email to download it, & the old barcode will be deactivated.

Eos won't cancel my pt agreement
I signed up for an eos membership, the will power tier and also got roped into signing up for a pt agreement. I told them I was willing to try it out for the month, was charged 60 bucks and left. I received the email of the agreement and saw that it was longer than a month and would be about 4 months which I did not agree to. I signed up August 6th, had a pt appointment on the 8th. I went to it and told them I wanted to cancel and ever since then its been a hassle to cancel. I have sent them cancelation request via the website
https://www.eosfitness.com/personal-training-client-service
One on the 8th, another on the 9th and one today on the 10th. I've also sent 2 emails to memberservices@eosfitness.com
One on the 9th and one on the 10th. I have screenshots of it and also have sent that proof over to then as well. They still have yet to cancel the agreement. Today I went in to talk to the pt manager in person to see if we could get it resolved. He denied my request to cancel. He told me no where does it state that they have a 3 day cancelation policy. So I pulled up the website. They told me since its a 24/7 gym that the website is lying and the weekends do not count and they are still business days since the gym doesn't close. They told me that I should've came to him with any and all complaints about the training but like I just want to cancel. He said I could contact the email and they might cancel but if not he would like to set me up with another coach. I have yet to send a written letter to corporate but will do so if I need to. He told me he conviently never received the cancelation request 8th. Only the one from the 9th. Which would be past the 3 day window to cancel becuase weekends apparently aren't excluded. What are my options at this point? Thank you for your time to respond:)
