OC Funktastic Adventure - Funktastic Voyage 2
Jewelle powers explained a little (artist: me)
I drew these on my phone so they look messy cause of that :b
She can not only see visions of both the future and the past but also travel in these timelines and can see the past and future of individual people.
She has paranoia, hallucinations, and intrusive thoughts.
Sometimes she can’t tell when these visions are happening because most of the time they happen in her sleep. This contributes to her paranoia and her powers can sometimes mess too much with her brain that she starts seeing these visions in fragments.
I’ll explain more later because her powers have layers to them :3 :3 :3
Fierce and Feminine, by me
A one-off character design in marker that I did because I wanted to draw an African warrior lady with attire in a traditionally "girly" color palette.
There's a take I've seen a few times that making a female character a warrior is necessarily "masculinizing" them, but personally I think a woman can kick butt without being unladylike (although there's nothing wrong with gender non-conformity if that's what someone wants to do). Besides, if the popularity of characters like Lara Croft, Red Sonja, and various other fictional heroines is any indication, a lot of dudes out there think action ladies can be sexy.
Jhonny 8ball i drew
Jhonny 8ball is if ben 10 and generator rex fused. Jhonny is a 13 year old boy with a gauntlet that allows him to transform into 8 different kaiju beasts. He works for an organization called titan watch. They monitor kaiju threats around the world and deploy mech pilots to fight the kaiju.
Johnny lives in black coast city the top 7 places on earth for kaiju attacks.the city gets attacked so much it has several amounts of anti kaiju infrastructure like collasable bridges and several underground shelters. Jhonny got his gauntlet at 8 years old when one of the worst inter dimensional storms( flash portals to the kaiju dimension and how kaijus get to earth)in history and the gauntlet came through the portal and bonded to jhonny on a genetic level.
Jhonny was kept a secret and trained by titan watch until he was 12 and they sent him to live in black coast city because they deemed him ready to be in the feild and black coast needs as much help it can get. Johnny has a good heart but is still a cocky dumb 12 year old.
Jhonny however isn’t the only kaiju fighter in the city their is also a young pilot duo rich and leslie. Rich is the brawn pilot he controls the body of the mech he is in charge of fighting and positioning. Rich is a super talented pilot but is still kinda an ass and often acts as johnnys asshole older brother the two constantly bicker.
The other pilot is leslie is the brain pilot she handles power management, weapon deployment, and is the mechs feild emt. If a kaiju damages a major system its her job to patch up the mech the best she can.Her personality is humble and with a dash of mad scientist.together the duo pilot beta J.
Ask me anything i have a lot more lore but i don’t wanna make the post too long. Also I only drew one of jhonnys forms i have all 7 planned but didn’t draw then yet.
Electrosapian is essentially king kong with four arms and his punches do electrical damage and has electric breath but it has a big wind up.
Angelitos Negroes Op. 1300 by me (Elijah Isaiah Johnson/ArtbyAtlas)
The first entry in this conceptual series!
“... Painter you stay the course
-Pintor que sigues el rumbo
Of so many old painters
-De tantos pintores viejos
Although the virgin is white
-Aunque la virgen sea blanca
Paint me little black angels
-PÃntame angelitos negros
that also go to heaven...
-Que tambien se van al cielo”
Hey guys! I’m very proud to present, during Black History Month especially, an ongoing conceptual series: Angelitos Negros, Based on the idea posed by Spanish-Cuban singer/musician Antonio Abad Lugo Machin, on the neglect of Black/dark-skinned angels in religious iconography. Discovering Eartha Kitt’s haunting rendition of this classic recording in the wild on the internet was a bit like being a black boy discovering Racism (with the hard, capital ‘R’) for the first time. At first there’s the shock, then the realization that it’s everywhere, and then the confusion which morphs as we age but never truly goes away. I thought back on all my favorite paintings and found Machin was right.
What I did know is the art(ists) weren’t to blame as they were a product of their times, from the early 1300s to the 1800s and beyond. It was a time when whiteness was simply default. Everything else was not even given enough thought to be an afterthought. Through social conditioning—as racism itself inherently is—these painters, surrounded by the vastly Eurocentric, homogenous communities of Europe and Northern America, fell into the trap Antonio Machin so genuinely inquired about: neglecting The Other.
But I sincerely believe when you see a void that needs to be filled—and in a very exact way—you fill it. So if their artworks were a product of their times, so should mine be. It had to be righteous, regal, relevant and most importantly—above all else—unapologetically black.
There’s of course room for subliminal messaging, but the artwork itself is the message. That not only are these real historical figures and their iconography based on living, breathing black and brown figures in time, but they also lived in extremely and aggressively ethically diverse surroundings. There will be wide noses, textured hair, traditional robes, big hips, big lips and even the cattle will be black as hell in spirit.
But this genre actually only makes sense this way when I think of it. Is Black not magical—fantastical even? We are a people who love, create, protect, uplift and redefine the realities around us every single day in a world has little to no belief in us. Is that not Angelic? Antonio Machin believed so, and I agree with him. And so this series is dedicated to the love of my people, the words of Machin, the voice of Kitt and the knowledge that little black angels also go to heaven. 👑

Stealing from DBZ | Thumbnail for A YT vid
I forgot I did draw this not too long ago for a thumbnail for a video on our YouTube. I thought it was pretty decent. It’s our main protagonist and antagonist in Judgment Day.
The second page of my Graphic Novel.
Been drawing for 8 years, The story and art feel like they are finally coming together… Yeah, that’s about it. I’m proud of what I did and wanted to share.

Reference photo vs. Painting
Kinda embarrassing but I had to pose and take multiple photos of myself so that I can have reference photos for this painting, some of the poses even look like Michael Jackson heehee 😭🙈
Anyway, this painting represents having a wealth of materials but still lacking what’s important, meet ‘Beggar unfinished’
